How can I look at the photoshop help on my pc if I cant open it because of the error? Is there another way?

It is not the best solution to pipe photoshop through the simulator, but it shows us (the users) that it is possible to simulate SSE4.X. It would be better to implement the code in Photoshop. On the other hand is shows us that Adobe is not willing to do. I assume that the developer are able to to.

@hawosc: Just curious: what version of AutoCAD are you using and do you use it very much? Shad0w has suggested a sort of hack to work around this but that will /does cause problems. See J's explanation about why, quoted below. As time passes, as more updates occur on these and other companies' software, those in denial about hardware aging will be left behind with NO hack to "fix" things for them.

I certainly can empathize with those that do not have easy resources with which to buy new equipment. However, my assessment of the hard and fast deniers is that they evade every explanation, remain in denial, slippery as a newly harvested Prairie Oyster in side stepping facts presented to them.

A fact of life is that innovation has brought the world new tools on an accelerating pace, will continue to do so. Another fact of business life is that anyone serious about competing in the economy must realize that it is necessary to purchase new tools and equipment as the realities of the world evolve.

AutoCAD is running without any problems on my PC. Without SSE4.2. And I'm not a gamer. I want to use the programs that I need, PS for instance. And once more: shad0w showed that also PS can run with some simple changes. That's it.

@Branislov Valovic: Only if your computer has a CPU and MB that supports SSE 4.2.

How about AutoCad, which has required SSE 4.2 since 2018? How about the fact that  many, if not most, games require SSE 4.2.  such as Oculus Virtual Reality  games require SSE 4.2?  How about HANA DATABASE , SAP Business One?  How about Media Composer, Media Composer Ultimate?

There are many more.

Intel's Nehalem introduced in 2009 i7 generation 8 first Intel CPU with SSE 4.2 instruction set, AMD followed shortly thereafter. This is now 2021!

It is not the responsibility of a software maker to keep track of every customer's aging equipment and to personally notify those with incompatible machines. Too, why should a software maker go BACKWARDs as you suggest and accommodate those ten year old computers?

As shad0w pointed out and showed with his solution there is no need for SSE 4.2. It would be little effort for Adobe to change this. But they won't. I know no other program that doesn't work due to missing SSE 4.2.
