P: Error at loading of ippCV library

I am serious about what I do and how I interact with the internet. That is why I use  Norton security. I certainly don’t need snide comments from people like you on a post that quite frankly didn’t require input from you. I posted the comment so that people might be aware of the implicit risks. The software that I downloaded was NOT “freebie shareware” but are standard DLLs that Adobe SHOULD have bundled in the v.22 release. Most of your comments on the v.22 release are incorrect, facetious and border on the ridiculous.

@loptap:  Those blocked access attempts should have been a very serious warning that you were downloading from a dangerous site! That is alway a huge risk when trying to get "freebie" share-ware.

Worked for me - though the new version seems to be slow even though, whilst trying to solve this issue I seriously upgraded my Graphics Card - giving me four times the Graphic memory.

I think you need to be careful with the download - in addition to the requested file Norton blocked one attempted access and there were two attempts to download flash_setup....exe which windows "blocked"

@5785308 Seriously?? Like, yes, the raw specs of the Phenom II X4 are "enough" but you are talking about an architecture from over a decade ago. Support for legacy hardware is expensive and also a huge hassle. I love my older systems as much as the next guy, but if you are serious enough to run a paid version of photoshop you should at least have realistic expectations as to the requirements.

I'm curious about how long Adobe will need to realize the wishes of their customers , and afterwards how long adobe will neet to fix the big problem ...

Where is the problem for a big company like Adobe to build the IPPcv library without using the SIMD CPU instruction set. It is a question of speed but also a question to be downward compatible. And then it is the decision of us - the customers - to prefer speed or not to buy new hardware.

You can determinate whether the CPU is providing SSE4.2 or not. If not the Photoshop installer could install the version with software codes for, if SSE4.2 is available the installer could use the CPU hardware

I can not see that there was a problem with older Cpu having  SS4a or less.
Therefore the code to implement is not the whole SSE4.2 instruction set by software.
There are 6 instructions sets (sse4.2 comparing to SSE4.1)  to be implemented by software in case of missing cpu instruction sets.
Which of them are you using?

  An again the question is it really such a big amount of work to keep the older hardware usable. That would be a small part against climate change. And since CC 2021 I have to pay only to be able to use the 2020 version furthermore. That's a kind of bad feeling
