P: Floating document windows in fullscreen w/menu bar causes window to jump to center

With the new release, the zooming mechanism has changed and it always behaves as if "Zoom Clicked Point to Center" was turned on when I am using keyboard shortcut (mapped to Wacom Pen). It works as expected when I'm zooming with scroll wheel.

@7244314 - I'm glad you put a wink after "100% bug-free guarantee" - since that would be a first from any software company. Probably the closest we get to that is from medical device companies (for obvious reasons) and needless to say they progress at a snail's pace.

@ Hannah, as it seems that only a part of Photoshop users are annoyed by this problem, would it be a nonsense to release a beta patch for this issue, to be used "on your own risk" for these until the new "100% bug free garanteed" 😉 version gets released?

Same problem here. But it seems that the bug does not occur on every machine. My colleague is working currently on the latest Photoshop Version and everything works just fine. Couldn't believe it either but I tested ... Maybe that's why developers didn't see the bug?! I on the other side switched back to the previous version. But an update to fix this problem would be highly appreciated!!! The sooner the better.

Amen to that! Now, if there were only a way to subscribe to the update announcement... 😉

Thanks for the feedback Anna. Did you try eartho's suggestion?

Us photo retouchers are totally effected by this too, and just coming out of busy season was woof!

Thanks for the suggestion eartho. I believe I tried it on my home machine but I'll give it another go.

Hi Micah,

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Obviously there is a high level of interest in this issue. I was responding to the suggestion that the current version cannot be used, or in other words, that every Photoshop user needs to use an earlier version of Photoshop. Everyone does not need to use an earlier version of Photoshop because most Photoshop users aren't effected by this issue. You could be right - perhaps we need more people among our testers who work as digital artists who paint.

Regards,
Hannah

Micah, there is a workaround which was mentioned previously in this thread... enable Application Frame and then toggle on the preference to open Documents as Tabs.
Not ideal, but does the job instead of having to use CC17.
