P: Freezing during sleep

Photoshop 2019 is freezing up when I put my computer in sleep mode. I have to kill that process and restart Ps. Rebooting seems to help for a day or so then the problem is back. I did not have this problem with 2018, nor do I have this problem with any of my other apps.

I have a 4th-gen 4.00 MHz i7, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD (only a couple of months old), and a decent graphics card with 2 GB of RAM (Nvidia GTX 750 Ti).

Sure, I will unmount and even unplug my external drive tonight before I put my computer to sleep and see what happens. Will let you know tomorrow.

As an experiment, could you unmount the external drives and network volumes and let Photoshop sleep. Do you still experience the freeze?

So, at someone's suggestion, I uninstalled and reinstalled Ps, same result. Totally consistent. Not renewing my Photo Plan.

Hi, same problem here. I'm also on Win10. I have 2 external drives and 1 network drive connected.

I have an external hard drive connected for local backups, and use OneDrive for continuous syncing.

Mine is completely frozen, I have to kill that process. Posting here was the closest thing I was able to find to filing a bug report or crash report.

Are you guys connected to any external drives, network drives or servers when this happens?

Yes. Same here. I have a Dell XPS 8920 desktop running Windows 10 with latest MS updates and latest update of Photoshop (20.0.0). I don't even have to load a file into PS. Just starting it without a file and leaving it running in Windows after sleep mode will crash it. BTW, I also have a PC laptop. Same version of PS and same version of Windows with latest updates. PS seems to be OK on the laptop – no sleep issues on the laptop. Go figure. I have been running PS on both systems with previous versions of PS and never saw this problem. Other than the sleep problem, PS runs without issues on both the desktop and laptop, until the desktop goes to sleep.
(Other versions of the latest Creative Cloud updated apps don't have this issue, at least the ones that I have run so far (Indesign, Illustrator, Lightroom).
