i was promised weeks ago, that Bug Id PS-38302 would be fixed in the upcoming update of Photoshop. Couldn't deliver to customers all this time, because i rely on hdr - and i cant create usable hdr-files, since it is a major bug not a minor one (how is that possible in a version 20.00x?). no previous versions works either!!!
Update is here, Problem not fixed at all - I cant deliver any work to my customers and are loosing orders!!!!

really, this is not acceptable!!

I have such problematic example.
The original files are here: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/wy44fj35qfa5v/MergeToHDR
Here is the result of merge that shows posterization (esp. in the trees)

The engineers will need example files (original datasets) for problematic merges in order to troubleshoot.

it's not as bad as before the update (as some series work again), but still a long way to go until acceptable

hi Jeffrey

i appreciate your effort but i wonder, why you Need examples? nearly every single merge is unusable and a Desaster. all of the people i know do have the same Problem. all image-sets, that used to work, do no more.
sometimes it helps to activate/deactivate registering - sometimes it becomes worse and registering will result in a large Grey area.

one friend went through support - it took 5 Hours for them to acknowledge the error, and then he was told, to just work without hdr. great.

i post a result - it is one of the better ones - but still not usable.
as i wrote, i bought Aurora and have to use this. Photoshop HDR has become completely unusably - for many people, for a long time. What is wrong there?

We have a meeting in the office next week (as I am only a hobby photographer, i asked the proffs at work for help - the could not help and are as frustrated as I), and the adobe subcsriptions will be on the table (apparently because of a lot of other stuff too lately)
it is really a bad situation, in which you put photographers and your customers and i wish all of this is sometime behind. wish you luck, Jeffry us

For those that are having trouble, can you post a set of images (dropbox/CC files) that you're having trouble merging, as well as resultant merge?

Hi

according to this list, the bug should be fixed:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

unfortunately it is absolutely not fixed. it is as terrible and unusable as before. Confirmed by all collegues !!!!

even worse, hdr out of Lightroom (not merge pro, the other option) is no more usable as well (a bright vignette in all lower corners on every merge - also conformed by all collegues).

although i am only a hobby photographer with Little time pressure, i was forced to buy Aurora hdr now, to get usable hdr images. mind you, it cost me about half a year of the adobe subscription, which i still pay !!

please get this finally fixed @J453
