P: Move Tool - Toggle auto select shortcut changed

Hello. The changed shortcuts to toggle the autoselection of layers with the move tool selected is highly frustrating to me. I used to have a great workflow with auto select turned on and used cmd to drag elements that were either off-canvas or too small / too transparent to grab them. Now it seems to be inverted: I need to turn auto select off to toggle with cmd. When it is turned on, cmd seems to toggle now between layer and group auto selection.
I can't understand why this was changed or is at least not something I can switch between in the preferences.

Thanks you very much for looking into this.

I have been a loyal PS user and have spent an absurd amount of money over the years working with this great software... This small change has caused a huge disruption in my workflow too! My time value has just dropped due to the extra clicks needed to use the move tool! It's extremely frustrating that the only fix is to roll back to an earlier version, loosing the "stay up-to-date" marketing line to sell the CC. Fix this!

You only need to revert to CC 2014.1..just don't upgrade it to .2

I contacted the help line chat and they suggested to use the previous version....very convenient to have that option on the creative cloud / app section under FILTERS & VERSIONS.... go back to CS6 and it will work

Seriously Adobe. This has absolutely destroyed how I work with Photoshop. Please make updating this a priority.

I prefer to have Auto-Select set to "Layer", and now holding the cmd button (mac) allows you to toggle Auto-Select. Great in theory, but when you hit cmd+Q to quit Photoshop, it saves that toggled state. So every time I start Photoshop now it's set to Auto-Select Group, and I have to manually change it back to Layer.

I downgraded Photoshop CC to 2014.1 and Ctrl key behaves as usual again...

This need to be fixed as soon as possible. It's INCREDIBLY aggravating. Thanks for taking a look at this, devs, though.

Somehow the shortcut was switched to now toggle the auto-select group/layer dropdown. The only fix is to either find a place to download an older version of Photoshop, work with the auto-select box unchecked and use ctrl+click to select new layers, or wait forever for Adobe to fix this issue.
