P: No drawing possible with Brush Tool with a pen when zoomed in

Hello,
I use MS Surface Pro and Surface Studio, both with a Surface Pen and both with Windows 10.

Since some days there is no more Pen-drawing possible with the brush tool on both devices (with each a single pen) in Photoshop CC.
When you zoom in once, the pen works like a hand tool but not like a brush.

The pen still works correct in MS Ink, OneNote and even in Illustrator.

Adobe are advising to Roll back to Windows 10 - build 16299.309

If you look at the second table down at

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/windows-10/release-information

You have to uninstall  KB Articles listed at the top of the table above last known working update which is

16299.309       3/13/2018     KB4088776

As of 13/04/2018 I have uninstalled

KB 4093112
KB 4089848

This is for those that are wondering what updates to uninstall.

I copied this file in the folder.

The Results:
  • still moving the canvas
  • loosing pressure sensitivity
Lord, send me to a parallel universe. Just without this bug.

Yes

I am just looking for a more permanent fix as i don't want all of my devices running behind and running different versions.

Sounds good in a way (it ́s similar to the comment of Martha), but how can this work for Surface Users, especially the first steps?

Hi Adobe Support are advising the following

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/cannot-paint-with-stylus-when-zoomed-in-windows-10.html

They have advised they are hoping to resolve issue fully in next update due in a month or so.  Not brilliant but at least they are aware of the issue.

I am going to Rollback Photoshop to version 19.0 and see if that makes a difference as mentioned in thread earlier.  I let you guys know how I get on.

I currently have worlds most expensive paper weights gathering dust on my desk so have to keep trying things!

I think - when you use the pen (and I do!!!) - every tool is just good for moving the canvas (after zoomed in - and I do!!!).
In the moment, it ́s like working in the 90s, everything done with a mouse.
This text is not showing my total despair!

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but y'all might try this work around.  You disable windows ink and create and insert a PSUserConfig.txt  file and place it in your photoshop settings folder.  It seems to have solved the problem for me.   https://forums.adobe.com/message/8661705#8661705    Worth a shot. 🙂
