P: Not printing in macOS 10.12 Sierra

Installed OS-X Sierra and now Photoshop 15.5.1 crashes when attempting to print. Print dialogue opens and settings can be modified, but when attempting to print PS crashes perhaps 9 out of 10 attempts. Most frustrating. I'm printing to an Epson 7890, but I have seen the same issue cited for Canon. Adobe support told me that Photoshop has not been tested on Sierra, but in reality Adobe has had Sierra for months and have even published known issues. I pay a ton of money for this thing to work and this nonsense from support is very annoying.

Apple has just released a Sierra update - to OS 10.12.1   ---- will that make a difference in Photoshop's ability to print to my Epson printers ????

I run a small business as well and tried so many different options and the only thing I was able to figure out to avoid it from crashing when Printing was to create a new document, roughly at paper size, then drag the image onto that and print it from there. If I drag the image I want to print directly from a website or even a file, it would crash when trying to print. But if I created a new document and put the picture on to that new document and print it from there it worked every time. Let me know if that works for you.

However, they're very quick in taking my subscription out the bank! Makes you wonder why we all bother really!
I agree with all you have said.  This software is supposedly the "flagship" of the
industry.  I am thinking it is more like an old tugboat loaded with patches, bailing wire,
duct tape and other ban aids.

But corporate could care less!  They get our money which is all they care about.

To Jeffrey Tranberry, Sr. Product Manager, Digital Imaging. In view of the latest emails, what say you now? A regular, official update from Adobe seems to be the professional thing to do!

Ive been using lightroom to do some test prints.. which seems to work ok. But, it’s really not ideal and it adds time to your workload but what other choice have i got?

I do think its really poor service from Adobe.. I spoke to Adobecare on twitter and asked who to complain too? interesting they said complain on here!! Well I've complained on here and heard nothing from them at all.. If I'm honest I don't expect to either! Typical none response you get from Adobe when there's a problem!

However, they're very quick in taking my subscription out the bank! Makes you wonder why we all bother really!

Come on Adobe.... sort this out!

Simplest workaround is open the file in the Preview app and print.
