P: Not printing in macOS 10.12 Sierra

Installed OS-X Sierra and now Photoshop 15.5.1 crashes when attempting to print. Print dialogue opens and settings can be modified, but when attempting to print PS crashes perhaps 9 out of 10 attempts. Most frustrating. I'm printing to an Epson 7890, but I have seen the same issue cited for Canon. Adobe support told me that Photoshop has not been tested on Sierra, but in reality Adobe has had Sierra for months and have even published known issues. I pay a ton of money for this thing to work and this nonsense from support is very annoying.

How are people getting around this photoshop printing issue with OS Sierra?

I run a small printing business where i print artwork for artists and illustrators! Im sure most of you have the same problem as me in running Photoshop with Sierra!
So, when you hit the print button photoshop just quits. It's very very annoying and frustrating, and it's starting to affect my business now as people are expecting their prints back.

Ive had lots of chats with Adobe and indeed Apple in trying to sort this out, but its got us nowhere! The response... sit back and wait for the updates!!
Well, as I'm paying for this software and Photoshop is such an integral part of what i do im getting really annoyed at the attitudes towards this problem from Adobe and Apple!
Why should i just sit back and wait for the updates? Which could well be weeks away yet!!
It's always the customer that suffers in situations like this!
How can i complain and who can i complain to! Preferably somebody who will listen and actually do something! I need help with this or at least a suitable alternative should be provided? Or i want my money back please! Why should I pay for something that clearly doesn’t work?

Question for the community on here..
I know there are lots of people on here with a similar issue and i just wondered how you’re getting around this problem! Are you using another program? If so, what are you using? I’ll explain exactly what i do! After scanning artwork in, i use photoshop to manipulate colours slightly so things print as the original looks.
So, i usually end up with a few adjustment layers, which i prefer to do rather than have lots of individual files all slightly adjusted. Any help would be very much appreciated as I’m not really getting any help at all from Adobe and Apple.

I created an action that resizes a page and then prints two copies, abut a year ago. I use it daily. Now, since I upgraded to Sierra, it breaks Photoshop when it gets to the Print part of the action.

Nicola, Thanks for the good advice. I was able to get Photoshop Elements to print on my HP Photosmart printer MacOS Sierra by opening the firewall and adding the printer.  Mike

Mac OS Sierra 10.12, PS 2015.5.1, Epson print driver V9.33 for 9900. It has been a while since printing, went to make a print this morning using Breathing Color paper and had icc profile. Under the print menu, select the Epson printer (under an ICC address), select Photoshop to manage color, select the BC ICC profile and I get the error message that I am attempting to print W/O color management. Tried all kinds of options. Still get the same message and the print was not great

Still no fix for printing???  Adobe is certainly taking their good old time dealing with it.

Yet, they are not hesitating and right on time to the second for collecting their subscription fee for broken software!!!!

You are too much optimistic. Unfortunately also Lightroom has problems printing the identity plate. At least with Canon printer.

All these patches are just that-patches. So PS can be made to work with an Epson 79XX printer by some jiggery-pokery? So what? I have two Brother laser printers and an Epson large-format printer. None of them can print from PS, thanks to some conflict between OS 10.12 and Photoshop anyversion. Illustrator can print fine, Lightroom can print fine. Meanwhile, Adobe has made a show of coming out with Illustrator 2017 while the Photoshop barn is burning down. Go figure. Save it in PS, print it in Illustrator or Lightroom until Adobe and/or Apple get their acts together. Maybe Adobe could send out a quickie called Photoshop Print to get us all over the hump? There's a feature request for you.

Jeffrey, when I go to the desktop app, it says that the most current version is 15.1.1. When I followed your link above, I saw 15.1.2, but couldn't find where to download it from.

For CS6 I read that a temporary solution is to delete the Prefs.psp file in Preferences\Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings folder.  This sometimes works for me and only for one print...  Might give you some temporary relief in CC.

Is Adobe working round the clock to fix this? Have been forced to print from jpeg. Ugh!
