P: Not printing in macOS 10.12 Sierra

Installed OS-X Sierra and now Photoshop 15.5.1 crashes when attempting to print. Print dialogue opens and settings can be modified, but when attempting to print PS crashes perhaps 9 out of 10 attempts. Most frustrating. I'm printing to an Epson 7890, but I have seen the same issue cited for Canon. Adobe support told me that Photoshop has not been tested on Sierra, but in reality Adobe has had Sierra for months and have even published known issues. I pay a ton of money for this thing to work and this nonsense from support is very annoying.

Didn't Adobe have a beta version of Sierra to test Photoshop on? This is looking like a major fail of the Adobe development team.

It's more complicated than one might seem. I'm hoping a solution will be available soon.

Well, Jeffrey Tranberry, we are moving into week 4 of this problem, and still no solution from Adobe. Do you have any idea when we might expect to be able to print with reliability from Photoshop CC? I am a patient person, but really this is testing that patience.

I have a problem printing from CS6 on an Epson Surecolor P600. I'm running OS Sierra 10.12 on a iMac 4GHz Intel Core i7.  I've tried different files- still crashes.  Error message is "Photoshop quit unexpectedly". I can print from mail without any problem but not Preview. Preview error message is: "cgpdforaster quit unexpectedly". To further complicate things, I can print from Photoshop in black and white when I select "Printer Manages Colors" in the printer set up box. The problem is when printing color and using "Photoshop Manages Colors". I didn't have any of these problems until I upgraded to OS Sierra.Any help would be appreciated!

Updated drivers from Epson today for my Stylus Photo 1400. Still crashing. 😞
Running Photoshop CS6.

(Deleted the printer first, of course, then re-installed.) I did notice one change, in the Print window. Before, the Printer Profile was showing a date of sorts. Now it's back to showing sRGB IEC61966-2.1)

Are we fixed Now ????

After updating the Epson driver (17387) for my pair of Epson SureColor P9000 printers from the Epson site -  I am now printing from a MacPro computer with OS 10.12 Sierra and Photoshop CC 2015.5.1.

I made 12 prints today with no crashes ....

Mac- PS CC - Sierra - Now Printing to Epson.

I installed the updated Epson SureColor P9000 driver today - on a MacPro computer with OS10.12 - Sierra.  The printers is NOT blocked by the firewall.

I restarted the computer and I have now made 10 prints with one of my Epson SC P9000 printers ... with no failures.

Is it fixed ??????  Stay tuned.  I'll do some more prints after a studio shoot today.

Give it a try and let us know.

Epson has just posted an updated version of the driver for the SureColor P9000 printer - to be used with Sierra - Mac OS 10.12

Now we need to see if that fixes the ongoing Photoshop CC failure to print under Sierra.

Step-by-step we can get back to work.

I have had the same issues with printing using PS CC and MacOS Sierra. Deleted all printer drivers and reinstalled and reinstalled PS. It was still crashing 9 out of 10 times when asked to print. I think I have now found a solution in the Mac System Preferences, Security and Privacy Preferences. Go to the Firewall and open the firewall options box. Check that the latest Epson Printer (WISE X) logo is showing in the list of permitted incoming connections. Mine was missing. Add using the +/- boxes underneath. Bingo! Photoshop now talking to Epson printer AGAIN!
