P: Not printing in macOS 10.12 Sierra

Installed OS-X Sierra and now Photoshop 15.5.1 crashes when attempting to print. Print dialogue opens and settings can be modified, but when attempting to print PS crashes perhaps 9 out of 10 attempts. Most frustrating. I'm printing to an Epson 7890, but I have seen the same issue cited for Canon. Adobe support told me that Photoshop has not been tested on Sierra, but in reality Adobe has had Sierra for months and have even published known issues. I pay a ton of money for this thing to work and this nonsense from support is very annoying.

Another workaround is printing out of Lightroom if you have it, it works (hint, hint Photoshop
folks).

Then again, if you are paying a monthly fee for a product, workarounds should not be
needed in the first place!!!  For the amount paid, this should never have been an issue
in the first place!!

I am seriously considering NOT renewing my subscription when the time comes.

I tried updating the Firmware on my Epson sure color P9000 printers - but Photoshop still crashes when I hit the PRINT button.  I sent a Problem report to Apple (twice) - but I cannot send a Photoshop Crash Report.  the reason is that when I hit the PRINT button Photoshop totally disappears .... it's not a freeze - it just shuts down.  I cannot find a way to send the Apple crash report to Adobe .... It happened  today with my Epson 3880 as well.

Just a reminder to everyone on a Mac, you can print out of Mac Preview with no issues. Hopefully a temporary workaround.

I had the same problem. If you restart the computer (I have an iMac) then you can print, at least for a while, then you have to restart it again.

I have the same problem since updating my MacPro computer to Sierra.  When I try to print to my Epson SureColor P9000 printer, Photoshop crashes the instant that I hit the "PRINT" button.

@mark142840 Savoia: lol, I hope it been consulted directly by Adobe. 🙂

A few workarounds. Open it in Mac Preview or download QuadToneRip PrintTools.

We all have this problem, but Adobe us successfully ignored.

Just updated to Sierra (10.12) and Photoshop (2015.5.1) quits when I try to print. After competeing the printer setup dialog box and hit PRINT, Photoshop quits. Had been getting crash reports but suddenly they have stopped. I need a work-a-round. I can get a print to go through maybe one out of every 5 attempts. Any ideas?

Reverting to a year old (or more) version when you are paying for what is supposed to be a current,
up to date product, every month, is not an acceptable response when it is ONLY your product that
is a problem.

It almost seems that once Adobe adopted the subscription model, it has been nothing but
problems and they feel they can dump anything on the users.  All versions of
Photoshop 1.0 to pre-subscription always worked flawlessly!

Seriously beginning to consider bailing out of this subscription stuff.
