Any 3rd party plug-ins? It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

After the latest update i have noticed that PS 2021 does not quit but instead it comes up with the spinning beach ball and I have to force quit it every time.  It doesn't happen after short period of use but if i have PS open for a couple of hours then its force quit time.  Im currently running MacBook pro 13 inch and Big Sur operating system.  Anybody have any fixes or does Adobe plan on brining out a fix for it?

yep same here with PS 2021, everytime I want to quit it the beach ball comes up and I have to force quit it.  It happens when I have PS open for a few hours, very annoying please bring out a fix for it.  Im using a Mac pro laptop

No joy for me doing the reset. Force quit is just now part of my end of day routine. I bet the app for the iphone works perfectly, only problem with that Adobe is we not all addicted and tied to the phone! Plus try doing Gb plus images on an iPhone with all the inherent attention to detail.

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a go. Editing 1.5Gb images today so fully expecting a force quit on close. Will let all know if succesful for me too. Have a great weekend.

I reset my photoshop (command, option, shift on opening) and photoshop is shutting down without having to force close.
