P : Not resizing correctly when disconnecting monitor - Mac OS X 10.11 - El Capitan

I use a Macbook Pro laptop and connected monitor; Since upgrading to OS X El Capitan, Photoshop CC 2015 does not resize its window area when unplugging the computer from the (larger) monitor - meaning all the toolbars palettes are outside of the viewable screen real-estate.

This happens with the Application frame on, and the only way I can see to solve it (ie get it to resize to fit the laptop screen area is to save all current docs, quit Photoshop and relaunch it, wherein it will fit to the new size.

Resizing the laptop screen res in System preferences doesn't make a difference.

It didn't do this in Mavericks - the application resized itself perfectly - but I don't think it's the OS as other apps seem to cope fine with on-the-fly screen size changes.

    This was fixed in macOS 10.11.2 or later.

    As far as I know, We are still working with Apple to get this resolved.

    This is still an issue. Thomas/Chris, how long do you expect this to take to be resolved?

    We believe this to be an OS issue and will be working with Apple to remedy. In the mean time, note if you mousedown on one of the visible edges of the app and drag/resize, it should bring things back into view.

    Hmmm. That would mean that Photoshop is not getting the message from the OS informing it that the display has changed resolution.

    The behavior changed when the OS version changed, and Photoshop didn't change - that means the problem is with the OS change.

    But we'll investigate and document the problem for Apple.
