P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

@Jeremy Plant , I hear you, I know the October release seems like forever when this line tool went MIA. We were ever so close to having it wrapped up for the 22.2 release, but rather than hold the release and the fixes that were ready, we kept the schedule. The line tool is on its way back, and there is no other work taking precedence.

We are reviewing the processes that will improve our responsiveness.

@Phillip Park , I know, it's disappointing we couldn't wrap up the line tool adjustments; just too many loose ends to ship in the condition it was in.

We have been working on this feature, it was ever so close to making it this time. The remaining to-do list is short now.

Another Update for Photoshop.

Version 22.2.

Thinking "Maybe the fixed the Line Tool".

Start feeling excited.

Update Photoshop.

Open Photoshop.

Line Tool set to Pixels still greyed out.

Stare blankly at screen.

Uninstall Photoshop and cancel Creative Cloud Subscription.

Download Clip Studio Paint.

Much Happiness.

Create amazing art.

Best Day Ever.

I would like to add my name to the list of people that are unhappy with this change.  It has hurt my work significantly.  Please restore this tool to its original functionality.

@DGrainger

> Google was correctly concerned about being enablers to copywrite theft.

That would be the very kind of bureaucratic idiocy I'm talking about.

Anyone who wants to can still "steal" copyrighted information, they just have to manually download it first. The only change is that it's immensely inconvenient for those of us who make our living with graphics, who are constantly emailed images to work on, which we could more readily copy and paste than download.

Idiocy. Lawyerly nonsense.

Your other quote: "And when they are, they should have it slapped out of them by strongly worded criticism."

So, you advocate violence when other people's views and interests are not aligned with yours?

Are you deranged? Is your reading comprehension so low that you can't understand how "strongly worded criticism" is not advocacy of violence? What the hell is wrong with you? Your own quote refutes your absurd interpretation.

They might not be able to change things, but they could at least update us and participate with the discussion more often. Again, the rare updates and lack of discussion make us feel unheard.

@mark_dahm

Please hurry up. I edit comics and drawings and frequently need to just fill or extend a line. The pixel version is quick and simple and I get on with my work.

For the umpteenth time

WHAT GOOD IS A LINE TOOL THAT CANT SIMPLY DRAW LINES??
