P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

@JemShaw I make a habit of regularly saving a copy of my workspaces. It helps tremendously when updating to the next version or moving between computers (such as WFH for the past year). And always have a copy of the latest stable version still installed.

OK, so I wasn't expecting the line tool to be mended, but it would be kinda nice if the latest update could open a file. First four tries, no effect at all. Nothing opened, not so much as a twitch. Next two tries, twirly wait cursor, then... nothing. Next try, our old favourite, "Program Error". All drivers updated, all Windows updates installed. Next is delete my preferences and have to rebuild my workspace from scratch - again.

Its not reassuring that someone thought it was a good idea to break this in the first place.

Don't even know why you are being polite.
They have been breaking core functions of the software for far too long now and take 6 months to fix what wasn't broke in the first place. Just because some idiot thought it would be a good idea to change what people have been using for 20 plus years.

Just done a new update today. And it still isn't fixed.

I actually dread updating any adobe software now. Just bloated crap, with memory leaks and constant freezes.

Don't get me wrong, I among many love new features but removing a fundamental tool in the Photoshop package is completely asinine.  The removal of this tool has increased my work x3.  Let me give you my example.

I have a layer mask that needs refining.  In this example, I have lots of straight edges.  So I select the layer mask, grab the line tool and add a line where I need to contract or expand the mask.  Easy right??
Well NOT anymore!  I try to draw the line and it creates a new layer for it, cause it's now a Shape or a Path.  So then I have to flatten that layer by adding an empty layer below it, then I make that a b&w image, then I go into the layer mask and paste and flatten my new addition.

I mean seriously Adobe, why did you do this?
I can't believe how furious I am right now.

I appreciate the response Mark but I have to say my faith has been somewhat shattered by this episode. I truly hope things resolve quickly and lessons are learnt.

Mark_dahm, thank you for the update. It's reassuring to know someone is working on the problem and that we might get relief in the next release.

Thank you @mark142840_dahm, I hope it's been clear throughout our gripes, moans and tantrums that your responses have been valued and appreciated. Our dissatisfaction with Adobe was inevitable, but most definitely not personal.

Thank you once again for taking the time to reply. I hope your input is as valued at Adobe as it is here.

@JemShaw , we are actively working on restoring the line tool pixel option; the list of remaining work is short now. We do not take your patience for granted, and are working to close this gap as soon as we can. I also anxiously await the day when I can announce this update has landed.
