P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

Lance, the shift-click approach does not work for us illustrators - there is a longstanding bug in the shift-click behavior when using digitizer and a pressure sensitive brush. When using a brush with opacity disabled, an opaque line is produced between the start and end clicks. But when pen-pressure-based-opacity is enabled, the resulting line fades away. The opacity at the start of the line is based on the pressure set by first click, but the opacity of the end of the line is read incorrectly and is usually set to zero. So the end result is a line that looks like a shooting star with a fading tail. This is not the desired result, obviously, but it has been the behavior of the shift click mode for at least a decade nonetheless.

In fact I generally us the pixel line tool was largely a workaround for this bug, since hitting U on the keyboard is faster than either disabling opacity or picking a different brush. When illustrating, staying in the flow is paramount.

Has there been *any* update to this really stupid problem? I want to use the new photoshop version but I cannot until this is genuinely and completely FIXED by the pixel option being added back.

I hope you get this restored ASAP! I'm having to roll back to the old version.

Bring back the Pixel version of the Line Tool

The Pixel Line tool is my primary tool for quick edits, mark up, & pointing with arrows.    Please bring it back.  This is very frustrating as someone that only needs basic and throw-away, not fussy since I'm just going to flatten/rasterize it anyway.

Seems like my best option is to reinstall 21 and turn off updates?

Can this please be changed back? It can be a new tool, I don't care... but you are alienating a lot of people with this. The workarounds aren't as fast.

This was the most thoughtless change I've seen in 20 years of using photoshop next to the way scaling changed a while back.

Adobe, you're killing those of us us use the line tool set to pixels daily for retouching, illustration and more.

Please restore this feature. I'm going to have to downgrade now as you've added numerous unnecessary steps to my workflow.

I understand the change, but the pixel mode is so essential to a lot of our workflows, none of these workarounds are nearly as good as pixel mode. Can we please get this added back? It can be a separate tool, but it desperately needs to be there! Adding features is great, but please don't take away things like this. Concept artists work so fast that rasterizing and adding stroke is a very annoying step.

California votes Biden who is elected. This essential feature disappears. Perhaps its part of the green new deal.

Adobe, stop being a c&nt.

Removing a massively popular feature for no reason is spitting in the face of your loyal customers.
