P: Photoshop 27.10: "Edit in Photoshop" from Lightroom Classic & Lightroom Desktop does not load image

When using Denoise on bracket RAW files in Lightroom and use [Edit] → [Merge to HDR Pro in PhotoShop] PhotoShop stop responding and must be shut down by using Task manager → end task. ☹️

When using Denoise on bracket RAW files in Lightroom and use [Edit] → [Merge to HDR Pro in PhotoShop] PhotoShop BETA also stop responding and must be shut down by using Task manager → end task. ☹️

The function [Merge to HDR Pro in PhotoShop] from Lightroom works when NOT using denoise on bracket RAW images.    

The function worked until 3-4 weeks ago!

Using Windows 11
Nvidia Gforce RTX 4070 TI graphics card
Lightroom version: Lightroom Classic version: 15.5.1
PhotoShop version: 27.10.00
PhotoShop BETA version: 27.12.00

After processing an image in Lightroom, when I then try to transfer the image to photoshop, the image does not appear in photoshop.

Hey Adobe, are you paying attention? Fix the frigging bug already!

I am up to date (as of today, 18 Sept 2026) with both Photoshop (27.10.0) and LRC (15.5.1). I normally first process my images in DxO Pure Raw (latest version) saving as DNG, then process the image in LRC, Synchronize them, before opening as layesr in Photoshop in order to Focus Stack. Today I attempted to do this but Photoshop simply hung, no images opened. If I do not process (brightness, contrats etc) the images in LRC then I can send them in to Photoshop as layers to Focus stack them. It could be three images, or ten images. No luck.

Yesterday, 17 Sept 2026, I could first process the images in LRC before sending them as layers to Photoshop. There have been no software updates since then, and as far as I’m aware, no settings have changed in any of the programs. Windows hasn’t run an update in the last three days.

My PC is relatively new, spec below,

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software without any luck. Your halp would be appreciated in this matter. No one else uses my PC.

Open as layers in Photoshop has been having some problems since 27.8 For what it's worth, I'm convinced that what we're seeing here is still part of that same problem. I reported this at 27.8, it was still broken 27.9, and now we're having issues with 27.10 Here's a link to the previous bug that I reported. 27.8 open layers in photoshop bug ​@Sameer K 

Problem gelöst. Es liegt an einem bekannten Bug beim Import von Lightroom in Photoshop 27.10.0. Beim Downgrade auf 27.4.0 war der Fehler nicht mehr da.

In a lightroom library in which all images were taken at the same time, I found that some of the photos would open normally in PS for editing, and others would not. I tracked down that the ones that would not open in PS had been images to which I had applied the reflection removal tool in Lightroom. Taking the “tick” out of the apply reflection tool box in Lightroom allowed the photo to then be edited in PS. This is uysing the latest versions of both (LR updated 12 days ago, and PS 4 days ago.

finalement, j’ai désinstallé la dernière version de PS et j’ai installé à la place la précédente et tout fonctionne correctement ! un bug !
