P: Photoshop can't open, freezes on splash image, uses all of ram trying to open then crashes.

I have googled every possible variation of this problem and tried every fix for this problem, none of them worked. I have tried reinstalling photoshop, deleting everything even remotely related to photohop in the appdata, deleting custom fonts, restarting the computer, updating graphics and computer, and holding every possible combination of alt, ctrl and shift while trying to launch in administrator mode. The result is always the same. It opens the splash image, gets to loading preferences or brushes, spikes RAM usage to every last byte of RAM I have, freezes the computer, then crashes.

And no i'm not running it on a potato i'm running it on an Alienware Aurora 4090, it should have more than enough power to handle this and Photoshop ran perfectly fine for months. Then just today it crashed and has never started up again.

Photoshop version 25.11

Help.

@PicksCDs follow the directions in the pinned reply at top. You shouldn't need a live tech person to assist.

I am having the same problem, but with Window 11.   How did you solve your problem.   [And howho do you find a LIVE tech person at Adobe?]

Photoshop will not open.  Adobe clearly has a problem with everyone having this issue.  I haven't opened it in 3 weeks and now that I have to get some work done it all of a sudden stopped working.  Beta won't open, Illustrator won't open.  Premiere and After Effects open though.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, downgraded the program and nothing is getting it working.  There seems to be a push to clear your preferences which you can't get into the program to do it so you have to go into your library which I'm finding no Photoshop folder or file to remove.

It sure would be nice if you folks at Adobe stepped up to get this fixed.

It happened to me today. Neither illustrator nor photoshop opens. One thing, I could open a file on the photoshop web version. I'm a bit relieved that it's not only me having this issue.

I just updated the OS to Sonoma 14.6.1 on apple silicon M2 pro. Still, apps don't open.

Ps won't start, made several rapports to Adobe, no-one reacts. Why should i pay for something that does not work?  Anyone?

Latest Ps 25,11

Mac Sonoma 14.6

Basic steps : Just click the Ps icon and after 10 sec. the app. freezes.

Expected result : opening the app, actual result : a freezed opening screen when loading preferences.

Call adobe texh support. They will fix this. I had them call me and it took about a hour and I was up and running.  Beta is dead. Get rid of it.  If you want to fix it on your own do this:   Go into every adobe file (program files, common files, program 69x files, and app data files). You will rename each file adobe.old.  There start the computers. The. Run creative cloud cleaner (found on adobe website). It will run you thru the cmd and select all to clean.  Restart your computer.  Then redownload creative cloud and load photoshop.   You can then go back into app data and reload your brushes, actions, etc.  Will work after that.  Restart your computer again.  I am so thankful for tech support. They even called this morning to make sure everything was working properly.  Hope this helps. Call tech support!!

I reported this in another thread. As I mentioned there, I've tried it all with no luck.
