I have googled every possible variation of this problem and tried every fix for this problem, none of them worked. I have tried reinstalling photoshop, deleting everything even remotely related to photohop in the appdata, deleting custom fonts, restarting the computer, updating graphics and computer, and holding every possible combination of alt, ctrl and shift while trying to launch in administrator mode. The result is always the same. It opens the splash image, gets to loading preferences or brushes, spikes RAM usage to every last byte of RAM I have, freezes the computer, then crashes.

And no i'm not running it on a potato i'm running it on an Alienware Aurora 4090, it should have more than enough power to handle this and Photoshop ran perfectly fine for months. Then just today it crashed and has never started up again.

Photoshop version 25.11

Help.

As Cory Shubert said, uninstall all beta, then reinstall (using Creative Cloud app) solves the problem.

Thank you!!!!

My photoshop v25.11 app on my MAC Monterey v12.7.6 will not open and when i open the force quit application it shows photoshop not responding. I have uninstalled the app several times now and updated my ios and it is still not working the photoshop loading screen stays at the "adding extension... Halide Bottlenecks". It has never happened before and started today. Please let me know how I can fix this. Thnak you.

Just spent 2-3 hours troubleshooting on this. While waiting for the support rep to respond (dunno, maybe they were handling 5-6 people at a time?) I did some research. Not sure exactly it's relationship to Adobe, but there is an online app called Photo Pea I used and it worked perfectly.

Not the answer you're looking for but maybe the answer you need.

Running photoshop fine for months. All of the sudden it won't start.

No recent updates to my system

Went through extensive troubleshooting. Everyhting Adobe tells me to, reset preferences, update all other apps etc.

Tried creating a different profile on my computer still won't work

Spent over an hour on this

Tried to chat with suppport

What 45 minutes. Get the message "We are experiencing long wait time due to an outage. We’re busier than expected. Thank you for your patience."

Currently finishing my project on Photo Pea

It's insane I pay hundreds a year for this app

At this point I am desperate, I tried everything, even using Adobe Master Cleaner and deleting Photoshop, I think it is an incompatibility between Sonoma and Adobe because I can't find another option, if someone has the solution please I would appreciate it.

i have the same issues here. I try to open both photoshop beta and photoshop 2024, it gets stuck with the opening logo/screen and just never opens. It also told me photoshop is running over 100G of memory to run. Every time I have to force quit.

The problem is clearly coming from all of the Beta softwares.
I use the minimum of Adobe softwares now and I clearly know why with this kind of bug.

As the Subject Line says, I cannot get Photoshop to open, I just used it a couple of days ago. I uninstalled / reinstalled to no avail. What can I do? I have a project due tomorrow.

Everyone's having issues. And what's worse is they don't notify there's an issue in the cloud.

So you go through 2 hours of troubleshooting only to find out it's a server issue.

Check out Photo Pea. Far more reliable.
