P: Photoshop creates a gude log while working with files

hi @Carmen Maria Schweiger ,

as i already wrote above, try to open your psd- and ai-files not by double-clicking on the file but by going via "right click" -> "open with" -> "[software]"....

seems to be the only solution right now to avoid or at least reduce the creation of the "gude-[date]"-logs....

Hi if got the same problem, appearing at all my latest PS but also Ai projects as well.. what can I do? ( I run the latest Versions and use Windows 10)

illustrator has been affected by this for quite a while now....

the other day it was indesign that crashed at first start on my computer and i had to shut it down via task manager...!

what i find remarkable (and not in a good way) is that it has now been one month since one of the adobe officials has responded to any of the posts in this community....

is this problem really being fixed or at least worked on??

Das Problem exisitiert nicht nur nach dem LETZTEN Update oder dem vorletzten, sondern schon viel länger. Mittlerweile betrifft es auch Illustrator und andere Programme. Außerdem stürzen die Programme bei jedem morgendlichem Erststart ab, sodass sie via str + alt + entf das jeweilige Programm geschlossen werden muss. Ich überlege nun wirklich, ob ich mir das Geld spare und auf andere Software umschwenke. Mir reicht es jetzt. Zumal die Programme bei jedem großen Update verschlimmbessert werden. So etwas geht gar nicht - und im Gegenzug die Preise erhöhen... 

This issue is still persisting on the latest build. Especially annoying as these files populate the cloud storage now.

This is taking far too long to fix. Having these files created everywhere an image is opened is ridiculous and annoying, especially for a product as mature as Photoshop.

Auch nach dem gestrigen Update, 24.7., sind die Probleme immer noch nicht behoben. Und ich habe keine Zeit dafür, den Entwicklern hier sämtliche gude.logs und Crash Berichte zu schicken. Die Adobe Suite und damit auch Photoshop wird von mir zum Broterwerb genutzt. Das Problem besteht bereits so lande. So langsam sollte sich mal was tun. Teuer genug ist die Software allemal, da erwarte ich auch eine schnelle Problemlösung. Und nicht wieder erwarten, dass ich irgendwelche Daten von und her schicke.

what i figured out in the meantime (and i guess somebody already mentioned it above) is that currently the only way to avoid the creation of these "gude-[date]"-files is by not double-clicking on the file to open it but to go via "right click" -> "open with" -> "[software]"....

it's a little inconvenient but at least this seems to work and you don't have to constantly delete these annoying files.... 😉

but still: please fix this...!!!

Same problem for weeks now. Deleted the sttings folder, no cure. All updates in Win 10 64 and Adobe products, no cure.
