P: Photoshop creates a gude log while working with files

This problem has been "solved" since April of last year...

Hi mate - we are all awaiting the 24.2 update which fixes this as Adobe have been aware of it for a few weeks. Depending on where in the world you live, the update launch has been delivered to some lucky folks, but not us yet in the UK. Don't panic, it will be resolved. 👍

It would be helpful if you would review the other posts in a thread before posing a question -- which results in an email to scores of people who are watching this thread.

You would find your question has been more than adequately answered if you did so.

Everytime I open a file and edite it in Photoshop, it puts a gude file in that folder that I cant remove until I close photoshop. This just started happening and has never happened before. Is there any way to prevent this from occuring? Its very annoying and constantly interrupts my work flow. Any suggestions are welcome.

Also I'm using a PC, in case that helps.

@thorstent40082701 it might take up to 24 hours to replicate across the globe. hit the check for updates button regularly, and you'll be all set!

24.2 build? I just got the 24.11 today.
These gude.log files are driving me crazy.
When will the 24.2 build be released in germany?

@J E L is correct in that the 24.2 build which is rolling out should have the fix for this.  If customers are still seeing this bug, please wait until you have downloaded the 24.2 build and can confirm that it is in fact still an issue and then start a new post so the team can track what system configurations are still at play.
