P: Resizing Photo goes black / corrupted in MacOS 10.11 El Capitan

I use Photoshop CC. When I try to upsize a photo, it goes black since installing El Capitan on my Mac. Downsizing photos works fine. Is this a bug?

Our engineering team is working with our partners to correct this issue and provide a fix in the future.

See the workaround here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/...

Thanks for this. It really fixed the problem. I just wish I could have it enabled ... but until it is resolved, I'll stick with it disabled 🙂

If it helps, I am not having this problem.

MacBook Pro, 15-inch, late 2011

Perhaps it is specific to Retina screens? That seems to be a recurring theme -- I'm following a topic at Adobe where someone else has this issue, and he also has a Retina-based MacBook Pro (from 2014).

I have the same issue on a late 2012 27" iMac with Geforce 660 512mb with El Capitan. All raster layers turn to black when enlarging an image and "Preserve Details (enlargement)" or "Automatic" is selected from the Resample drop down menu. The rest of the options does not seem to be affected. This is a continued issue with image resize on OSX! In Yosemite enlarging an image with these options selected randomly crashed Photoshop. So far there was no fix for this bug (present since the release of CC 2015), so I'm not getting my hopes high that this issue would be resolved soon 😕😕

We are testing a workaround for the OpenCL issue that causes this problem.
I'm not sure if we have informed Apple of the OS bug or are still documenting it.

Hi,
ok I'm disable the GPU usage in my photoshop - it fix this problem, BUT I need this options for smooth zooming on my wacom, I cant work without GPU!

And one more thing - smooth zooming doesn't work correctly after update to new OS X, it have lags and delay!

Please fix this or send it to apple, can't work normally

Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Resizing an image from 72 DPI to 300(can be any size really) makes the whole image go black. There error occurs on 2 of 2 computers here. Please fix ASAP please, love you guys and thank you!
