P: Sliders won't move when rulers are shown (macOS 10.14.6)

After installing PS 22.0, there are problems with my sliders. For example, doing a Select / Color Range adjusting the "Fuzziness" slider is problematic. If I try to click on the arrow and slide, it won't move. When I unclick at my end point, it may jump to that point. My best bet is to just click at a point on the slider and let the arrow jump to it. If I try to click, hold, and slide, it will invariably freeze, at some point, and I have to force quit. I notice this also happens with hue/saturation.

I'm on a late-2013 iMac, running 10.14.6. This also happens on a 2017 MacBook Pro, also on 10.14.6.

Hi Jimmy, me too and in addition to the problem in "Select > Color Range", I encounter in system slowdowns in fits and starts, for example when sizing the brush or moving its.

I hope that Adobe corrects these bugs as soon as possible, because in this condition it is not possible to work.

I just now discovered I have the same issue using iMac with 32GB ram; never had an issue with Photoshop until this update Oct 25 2020. Also noticed when I open PS, immediately all the available ram is nearly completely used up except a couple stay megabytes. Everything is up to date, using Mojave 10.14.6. Photoshop freezes and always requires Force Quit every time. I enter Select Color and select a point, I can momentarily move the slider then freezes - EVERY TIME.

Me freaking too! These Photoshop updates are becoming infuriating. 'Fix' (term used loosely) something, BREAK something else. On and on.

Thanks. Rulers was the key. With rulers on they move for me on 10.15.x but it's super chuggy.

Hi Jeffrey,

I've tried both mouse and tablet, as well as restoring preferences. However, after more experimentation, I've found that when rulers are off, the problem disappears. When rulers are on, the sticky sliders happens.

Per step 3, the driver updates are for Windows.  My Macbook Pro has the latest software updates.  I made the change as recommended in step 7, restarted PS2021 and I'm still experiencing the same lock up when selecting color range.

I would make sure your driver is up to date by installing the latest driver directly from the AMD site (step 3), and make sure Photoshop set to use the AMD driver vs the integrated card (step 7). See troubleshooting steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#GPUandgraphicsdrivertroubleshootingsteps
