MEDIA DOES NOT DISPLAY ON THE TIMELINE ON WINDOWS SYSTEMS

On Windows, if a custom scale factor is set in System > Display, media does not display on the Premiere Pro timeline. We are working to fix this issue in an updated version of Premiere Pro. Two workarounds are available:

  1. In Windows, turn off custom scaling and use one of the standard scaling options, or
  2. In Premiere Pro, turn off GPU-accelerated UI rendering in Preferences > General.

Per Jamie on the Pinned posts:

  1. In Windows, turn off custom scaling and use one of the standard scaling options, or
  2. In Premiere Pro, turn off GPU-accelerated UI rendering in Preferences > General.

I tested a new version of the beta this morning. Not fixed yet.

Hi @jamieclarke,

I posted initially. The problem still persists for me, and yes, Windows custom scaling seems to be the culprit. I run it at 135% on my 5k2k untrawide monitor - without the scaling PP is illegible for me (old monitor eyes!)

In the meantime, I've reverted to 24, where the scaling isn't an issue.

Can you please confirm here when the issue has been resolved - even in the beta - and I'll try it out.

Cheers for your help!

Newest version 25.2.0.001 released this morning (for me) does not fix this issue.

Are you running with scaling across your monitors, or on one?

Three of my monitors are 100%, my one UHD monitor is at 200%.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

I just disabled custom scaling in Windows, and the problem disappeared. However, I use an external monitor, and without scaling, the experience becomes very poor as I lose workspace.
