P: OMF Export from Premiere Not Working

If you need to use OMF, stick to version 25.0 only (later versions can't do it properly) !

Hi

I have the latest version of PP and cannot export OMF files. AAF works perfectly.

When I try to export an OMF, I see in the progress tab that it is exporting hundreds of audio files. However, when it's done, I only see two audio files in the Audio Files folder. I've been working in post-production for 14 years, and I've exported OMF files many times before, but now it’s not working. Does anyone know what’s happening?

Avid exports OMFs without any issues...

Please do not ask for my specs of computer, it is all compatible.

Just here to add my voice.  I have a quick turnaround for a project delivering tomorrow and just ran into this issue.  I hope it gets resolved soon.  This is such a basic function.

The last Premiere Pro with with good omf is 25.0.0 so do not move up if you need omf untill they fix the problem. Audition has lots of problems with omf anyways so if you have to send omf to audio producer, make sure that producer works on Nuendo or Cubase. And that Premiere Pro 5.0.0 is the last version for omf export. Or learn music production. I did.  I'd love to see info of fixing that bug on new Premiere Pro 25.x

I have received at least 5 different OMFs lately from 5 different editors from all over the place.

All of the OMF had this bug and none were useful. if working on Adobe Audition, The best thing to do is to ask for the OMF in a separate media file, and COPY FULL AUDIO. You will have a way bigger OMF file but it worked with everyone.

I'm not sure why their workaround is to export AAF because Adobe Audition itself doesn't even support this format. smh

OMF is one and only thing for using broadcast  sound production. Unofotunetly

My comment was specifically to iritco. Your posts are totally good. Iritco implied staffers have ignored the thread, when in reality, several have posted in this long discussion.

We don't have a 'fix', which is frustrating. But staffers are noting this discussion.

Please be kind and respectful. My experience in reporting this bug was that I started a new thread. When Adobe saw that my comment was related to other OMF threads it migrated my comment to this larger thread. This meant I did not see any of the other comments prior to posting. As Roy Kent said, "None Of Us Know What Is Going On In Each Others Lives".
