P: Premiere media bin automatically scrolling to the top. Fixed in version 25

After adding a clip to one of my project folders, the bin keeps on scrolling to the top automatically.

I closed and reopened the app, but the issue persists.

The issue happens only for that specifin folder, all others behave as usual.

Premiere Pro version is 24.5.0 (Build 57) on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5

It would be nice if it worked with thumbnail view. I don't use icon view.

Edit 10/10/24: On a different Win10 machine I see the bug in 24.6.1. I don't have access to the original machine at the moment.

@janantonka,

What version are you running?

I just tested Release 24.6.1 and Beta 25.1.0.2. Works correctly in both. I used the same test method I described earlier: create a new bin, double-click to open in a new panel, set to icon view, and drag a bunch of clips from windows explorer.

This works! Thank you for sharing. Today is 9/02/2024 and this bug is still an issue.

Win 10, Release 24.6.0 and Beta 25.0.0 Build 29. Release 24.6.1 is out but I have not yet installed.

I can replicate the bug in both versions.

Today, sometimes I could "fix" by clicking on an item as it scrolled past; sometimes not. Today I could fix by closing the new bin, then reopening (in list view since that is my main Project panel setting) and chaning to icon view.

its a bug and should be fixed by Adobe.  it's infuriating and slows the workflow no end.  Kevin please try and raise it for a fix

I restarted Premier Pro and the issues got resolved. I am using Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2020 model if you are wondering.

I'm not sure if this is triggering the effect for everyone else, but I did find something that may be triggering it. For myself, it's every time I'm organizing my footage and dragging it into different bins. More specifically, it's whenever I'm holding a few clips in the selection and having to go farther down the media bin than what shows. The bug doesn't impact the list or freeflow view mode for me. Wish I had a fix for everyone lol
