Timeline doesn't refresh any GUI

The timeline is frozen when playback starts, it only refreshes when you press stop. After wasting alot of time, I found the bug. There's a GUI refresh problem when the 'browse' tab is open withing 'Essential Graphics'. Clicking on the 'Edit' tab or closing the panel fixes this immediately.

I'm running a dual screen setup, with all panels apart from timeline and program, on a vertical screen.

I am running the latest update: Build Version 24.6.1 (Build 2) in the latest windows updates, with AMD processor and NVIDIA 3080, currently using inbuilt jack for headphones.

Hope this helps people and can be fixed soon.

Can confirm im also getting this bug. im only running 1 monitor. i also have a 3080 and ryzen 9 5950x

the timeline sometimes doesnt work. i did not know how to fix it but i can ALSO CONFIRM!! THANK YOU!!
that simply switching from browse to edit on the essential graphics panel fixes this issue entirely!

i think this should be brought to @Kevin-Monahan and @Ron Rigler 's attention
as i feel this bug MAY BE another issue related to this:

as the hardware is very simular and its again about timeline refresh issues

No way to know from your post ... but is the 'main' Premiere window/panel group, with the top menu bar, still on your 'main' UI screen? And is the Program monitor on that screen?

If the main panel group with the menu bar and/or the Program monitor are switched to another screen, Premiere can get cranky.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
