Media Brower is copying files instead of moving files when dragging into bins. If I try to move a Sequence into a bin it copies it instead of moving it. If I drag a media clip to the timeline and then try to put it back it makes a new copy of the media clip. If I turn it to Icon Mode this bug doesn't happen.
I have a bin called CUTS and a sub-bin called "Archvie." When I try to drag a sequence from the Cuts bin into the Archive bin it looks like nothing has happened. But the sequence IS in the Archives bin, but it is also STILL in the Cuts bin. It doesn't seem to 'remove' the sequence. Slider in the Essential Sound > Enhance Speech > Mix amount goes from 1.0 to 10.0 When viewed in Effects Control Panel > Audio > Enhance Speech > Mix Amount slider it is reported as 0.0% to 1.0%First:I assume this is a bug and should be shown as 0.0% to 100% Second:Why the artificial scale of 0 to 10.0 in Essential Sound > Enhance Speech?Everyone understands percentage scale from 0 to 100%, and the convention of Dry/Wet mix for many audio effects is well understand industry convention.Edit: Jason Levine just called this out on his latest Adobe Livestream, so I guess I'm not too far off the mark saying this doesn't make sense!
Created 10 adjustment layers and renamed each as well as changed clip Lable colors. Color labeled all my clips to match color of adjustment layer. Saved file. WHen I reopened the file, adjustment layer clip names and all color lables reverted to default.
Until the first beta i have foud this strange bug, but i want to wait for some update. After 6 update i have the same problem.I have a MacBook air M1 with macOS 14.2.1
Project used to edit daily episodics at a local television station. Main project is the same just replace daily clips with same local daily end tag. 23.6.2 Runs great. Used because some of the material comes is live from Pitch Blue and we take via live capture not available in 24 or Beta. Tried updating to 23.6.4. Files take forever to link. Immediately went back to 23.6.2. 24.1 Does not have the relink media issue. Beta 24.3.0 Build 28 19 minutes to relink all timeline media. Aborted using after 21 minutes due to program sluggish behavior.
The project panel items get duplicated when trying to move them into bins. The bug is consistent through beta builds 22 to 24 (version 24.3.0). System info Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.3.0.24 OS: macOS v13.6.3, RAM: 128,00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32
In the metadata display i check Proxy nothing else related to proxies. After creating proxies, the metadata display auto adds the file name and path which a did not add or need. Build 24.3.0.28 W11.
whenever I open a project I open to the default workspace. If I save a new workspace or save changes it will appear in my workspaces tab, but once premere closes its gone.

I am able to install the Premiere Beta on my iMac running OS 13.6 (ventura), but when I launch Creative Cloud on my Macbook Pro with an M2 chip - running the same OS on the same version of Creative Cloud as the iMac - there is no option to download the Premiere Beta version.

Clips will snap to each other, but the playhead will not snap to anything. I've tried enabling and disabling, but this seems to be a consistent issue since I've been using the Beta version for the past several months. Premiere Pro Beta 23.4.0M1 Mac running 13.2.1
Hi! Appreciate the new proxy workflow. Nice to be able to specify 1/4, 1/2, full resolution. Wish there was an option for ProResLT in the default as ProResProxy files tend to be a little to heavily compressed for my taste. The bug I am expereincing is this. Import media (FS7 / 8 channel audio / MXF / 3840 x 2160) Right click -> proxy - > create proxyFrame size set to Custom - > 1280 x 720 (Leave untouched) Encode in media encoder...File comes back as 1920 x 1080.... Weirdly if you set it to 1281 x 721 it will render to that resolution. I think there is some bug where if it set to 1280 x 720 it actually ingores that default input value. Like if I set back to 1280 x 720 from 1281 x 721, it will then render at 1280 x 720 but not every time. If you only change one of the numbers it goes a bit haywire. Seems a bit inconsistent something weird going on there. Thanks,
I am having issues with an edit. Two 1-hour clips in a multicam timeline are causing grief. Both are 4K 100Mbps, one MP4, the other MXF. The MP4 keeps throwing audio errors and freezes playback. If I wait a little it comes back and keeps working. Just now the whole thing froze up and I looked at Task manager to see what was going on. The drive array showed 100% activity, but zero bytes reading or writing. I've never seen that before. After about 3 minutes playback started working. Error log leading up to the issue: This is in 24.3.0 Beta build 25.
Ok. Not a very constructive day.Yesterday everything was working great.Today...nothing.Timeline is there, thumbnails load in, but nothing updates in the Program monitor when I drag the CTI.Source footage won't load.Simply won't play.Even the play button doesn't change it's icon to stop when I click it.Tried restart, reinstall, etc.Nope.Hmmmm....Further tries:- cleared caches- reset preferences- turned off all timeline checkboxesFor some reason, Premiere is applying Enhnaced speech onto clips I never applied Enhanced speech to.If I select the clips and remove ALL audio attributes, it still keeps trying to enhance the speech. It says there are no attriputes, yet may audio checkboxes are still on. I ended up creating an entire new project...then import my old one into the new one.The timeline started playing!Just when I was about to pop the champagne ...Premiere basically says "hey, I should enhance the audio on this timeline"then I can't play anymore (Arrrgh!)I have deliberately rem
This caption system is not ready for prime time. It's atrocious. It grinds the system to a halt after you edit a caption -- for some reason unknown to me--even after shutting down any other applications running on the PC, it is impossible to work with. Simply freezes up the entire app for 20 seconds at a time once you finish editing a caption.
Depuis la dernière mise à jour bêta, lorsqu'un clip est déplacé d'un dossier à l'autre, le déplacement ne se fait pas réellement. Il s'agit plutôt d'une copie qui est créée.
Version 24.3.0 Beta (Build 24)Windows 10, 64bit When I move clips and timelines in the Project panel, instead of simply relocating them, it creates a copy in the new destination, but leaves the original in place. Is this a feature, and if so, how do I turn it off? Thank you!

I'm in the most current beta. Today when I have option dragged a clip to duplicate it in the timeline, I am experiencing beach balling hanging for about a minute. I am on Mac Ventura. Activity Monitor sample is attached. (Sorry, I actually didn't update to today's release. I last updated Friday, I think.)
Steps to reproduce: 1. highlight audio asset in bin2. shift+G to change from mono to stereo Result: CrashExpected: pop up window that gives the option to change from mono to stereo. System info Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.3.0.22 OS: macOS v14.2.1, RAM: 128.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 20
When using the pen tool im unable to move an achorpoint after placing it. None of the shortcuts work. It then crashed and created a loop where everytime i open the project it crashes.
With default settings, if I have a clip on the timeline and place the time indicator over it, the clip is automatically selected. Problem occurs when you're trying to add timeline markers. While the indicator plays over the selected clip, the "M" key adds markers to the CLIP, not the timeline. So it appears the trick to this is to 1. Position the time indicator where you want it (highlighting the clip beneath it)2. Click in a blank area of the timeline to deselect the clip3. Play and insert markers I think there's a setting to turn off this default setting, but I don't know where it is. It should be off IMO.System info Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.3.0.17 OS: Windows v10.0.22621, RAM: 63.83 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16
As said in the subject the latest two versions of Premiere Pro Beta crashes every time I click/do Modify->Audio Channels to material clip. Friday I stilla had two versions prior and didn't have any problems with modifying audio channels...
