Hi,I'm sure most of us want to squeeze optimal data out of RAW files. In order to do that, I am currently forced to use other software which uses precise floating point calculations in RAW file conversion (as opposed to ACR truncations and rounding, losing data in the process) and then if needed, import files to Photoshop CC.Same thing about being able to choose demosaicing algorithm and Lucy–Richardson deconvolution (blur reduction) and all those advanced features that one can ignore in not needed but can be put into an advanced menu if one wants to use them.I know that precise and accurate conversions take longer than wild approximations, but why not adding a selectable option for those users that prefer quality over not waiting those extra seconds?Open-source developers can do that with very limited funding, I am sure Adobe can pull it off even better. For those wondering which software I am using, it's Raw Photo Processor (Raw Photo Processor (RPP) ) and Rawtherapee (Features - RawPe
Could there be a possibility to uncheck the information about lack of automatic lens profile showing when merging photos to Panorama in Camera Raw? I use tilt /shift lenses and I know there is no automatic lens profiles for them - it would be much easier for me not to have to confirm it every time I merge Pano or HDR Pano.Thank you in advance!
I was trying out the new Enhance Details function on Lightroom 8.2, and it is working well on some images, but on other images, it creates the new file, but totally messes it up by cutting out a square in one part of the image, and then other green, blue and magenta squares of the same size are placed randomly in other parts of the image. This doesn't happen on all files (and it isn't consistent as to which files...two shots taken minutes apart with the same camera and lens, and one it won't process correctly, but the other it will. If it messes up on a file, it always messes up in the same way if you try again. It doesn't matter whether GPU processing is enabled or not. Hi all,Camera RAW seems to not handle the best noise reduction with the files generated by the Nikon Z6 and FTZ.Working with Capture NX-D the problem is solved.Could you check and answer this question?Regards
Looking for a RAW profile to use in ACR 9.1.1 for a Nikon d7200 and Rokinon 8mm f:\3.5.I realize that new profiles are added to the "cloud" versions but I am still using CS6 and the ACR.Thanks for any assistance.Doug

I just don't want to always select all, then go to preset tab and apply preset and then unselect all,so I can start working on my images, cropping, tweaking settings etc.Cheers,Rafal
Hello. My question to developers of DNG concerns the DNG format, into which I have been converting all RAW photos, considering that DNG is a complete analogue of RAW. I use Canon equipment. 1. I recently learned that in many photo contests, if a photo reaches the final and claims prizes, confirmation of the rights to this photo (authorship) in the form of RAW files is required, and the DNG format is not considered as such. 2. Once I had a claim about a Canon lens purchased - on specific photos as an example. The support required me to submit RAW files. The DNG files were not accepted by Canon support and I was told that they lacked some important information. Question 1. Please confirm that when converting RAW to DNG some information is lost, that a) does not allow to identify the authorship of the photo, b) does not allow to perform photo equipment service support. Please indicate which information is being lost. If the statements written above are incorrect, please give a professional
I do have the RAW update that lets me use CR3 files. I can open them into Photoshop from Windows Explorer or from Open File inside Photoshop. But when I browse in Bridge, it will automatically place into After Effects. I can get it to place into Photoshop, but not automatically. CR3 doesn't show up in the options of file types in Preferences> Associate File Types. I found work-arounds. But they're kind of a pain. It's probably in front of my face. But how can I get this to work how I need it to?Any help is appreciated.
Last night I tried to open a DNG file from my Pentax K-1 for the first time since updating ACR from 11.0 to 11.2 , the import pane showed the image , but the sliders were unresponsive , I could not close ACR , nor could I force quit out of PS . In the end I had to shut the computer down by holding the power button .The computer is a MacPro 3,1 from 2008 , with 16Gb RAM and running OS 10.11.6 El Capitan , the highest supported . I can still open the same file in Lightroom , and it also opens on my MacBook Pro , running same OS and version of PS , but still on Camera RAW 11.0 I was looking for a way to revert back to the earlier version of ACR , which was working fine for me . I uninstalled PS , then went back to install PS CC 19.0 instead of 19.1.7 . After uninstalling , ACR had disappeared from my list of installed Apps , but on installing 19.0 , I ended up with ACR 11.2 again . I have since uninstalled both PS , LR and CC , and am now downloading the installer for PS 18 from the legac
Camera RAW 11.2 unable to open any RAW files from a network attached volume. Same files open from local drive. Tested on two Apple computers OS X 10.13 and 10.14. Easier versions of Camera RAW open the same files from the network volume. This is strictly a Camera RAW 11.2 bug.David
Photoshop is not supporting raw files of Canon EOS RP, What to do?
Hello! We have as input a 8 or 12-bit image in Bayer format (RGGB CFA).We can store it uncompressed as DNG without much problem by specifying CFA_PATTERN.Now we want to compress it using lossless JPEG, and the problem is that CFA_PATTERN seems to assume SAMPLESPERPIXEL=1. That means JPEG receives an image as greyscale with lots of high frequencies due to Bayer pattern, so it performs very badly. Is there a way to compress individual RGGB input channels as separate JPEG 'planes'?
I can't for the life of me understand why Adobe went and changed their profiling. I noticed this on the Canon 5d4 and of course on the R as well. You can see this too if you look at the test images on Dpreview for each camera. 5d2 RAWs and 5d3 RAWs with default Adobe profiles have much more punch and a please image. 5d4 and R RAWs just look super dull and you have to work much more to bring out the image. Is there ANY way to get the profiling of 5d2/5d3 images to apply to 5d4/R images? Is this even possible? What program is used to build profiles? I know you can do it, but I can't seem to figure it out.
Good evening. Is there a way that i can update specific HSL adjustments, that I made in Adobe Camera Raw, in photoshop CC. I pushed the reds a little to far and did not notice right away. I save the files as a .psd.I went into photoshop (with .psd files) and did File-Open-open in Camera Raw, but the adjustments that i had made on the images did not come across.Do I have any hope?Or do i need to start over? Thanks in advance for any advice or help.
i'm using the olympus omd em1 mk2 .. and the RAW ORF files arent supported in the Photoshop CS6 camera RAW program .. and Adobe will not update camera RAW above 9.1 in CS6 .. if i could update camera RAW to version 9.9 i'd be laughing .. or so i believe .. i've updated the firmware on the camera .. and Adobe DNG converter is the latest version .. 11.2.0.135 .. i have photoshop CC .. and can open the RAW ORF files in that program .. but .. my computer struggles with CC .. if i try and use different plug-ins or filters .. especially Nik software .. it can send my cpu usage way up and also my ram .. so using CS6 is my best option at the moment .. i'm running 64bit window7 .. with 16gb of ram .. so this is what happens when i try and use the DNG converter .. when i select a folder with RAW ORF files in it .. the RAW files aren't visible .. its as if they are not there .. someone suggested that i should get an older DNG converter version ... so in the DNG converter software there is an opt
Hiwe are still using the Adobe CS6 suite e.g. with Bridge CS6 (5.0.2.4 x64) and Camera RAW 9.1.1.461 (Windows 10/64).Installing a newer version of Bridge is useless because we can't export RAW files. But would it be possible to use a newer version of Camera RAW? Or is there no downloadable version only of Camera RAW?ThanksCarlos
I open hunderets of RAW file at the same time with in Photoshop Camera Raw and select all and use AUTO for white balance and rest of the settings like exposure etc. However, I wish I can add +0.3 ev and +200 kelvin for each raw file automatically which each image file already set by "AUTO" value. Could you add overdrive value for sliders when we choose "auto" in camera raw? Thanks in advance.Koray
Ich kann keine RAW in pse10 öffnen obwohl Aktualisierung 11.4 eingespielt ist. Was kann ich tun?Gruss
Would someone please help me troubleshoot why I am not able to open RAW images in the newly purchased and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 on my iMac?
I have installed a new laptop with Adobe Bridge and Photoshop I learned, as well as camera RAW. From Adobe Bridge and Photoshop programs when I open a camera with RAW, my programs crash. I once removed the programs from the machine, but in spite of repeated function. Why do programs crash in this new laptop? co. Markku
The arbitrary ICC-based output color spaces have disappeared from the dropdown list of the “Space” field of the “Color Space” area of the “Workflow Options” window of my Adobe Camera Raw app. A few months ago, they were still appearing as available, as usual. A month or so ago, I noticed that they are no longer appearing; now only the six standard spaces appear (ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB, sRGB, etc.). I would like to use some of them for soft proofing. I notice that they are also not available via the “Save Options” window that opens when one clicks the “Save Image” button in the lower left corner of ACR. In that “Save Options” window, the “Color Space” and “Image Sizing” and “Output Sharpening” areas (and their fields) are all grayed out and unusable. The profiles that have gone missing from ACR are still available for soft proofing via Photoshop. Here’s what I’m using: DNG filesAdobe Camera Raw Version 11.2.0.135 (most recent version)Adobe Bridge Version 9.0.2.219 (most recent version)A
