Photoshop CC 2014.2.1/Camera Raw/Win 7 SP1 64bit ACR Window is full screen mode - Select adjustment brush, reset all values to default, use adjustment brush - A modal error dialog is displayed BEHIND the ACR window. Even when acknowledged (get to it with windows means since ACR does not allow any control) it immediately comes back and PS application has to be stoppped with task manager. The behavior with ACR window not in full screen mode seems normal and after the error dialog is acked the ACR window allows to make changes.
Just bought Nikon D7200 yesterday and now find out that my Elements 12 software will not process my images because the Raw Data profile for the D7200 is not in the files...Anyone else hear of this or know how to get the plug-in update ?
Will Adobe provide lens profiles for the OLYMPUS DIGITAL ZUIKO four thirds lenses, i.e., the super high grade and high grade lenses of the professional OLYMPUS E-System? OLYMPUS does not support software of other organizations. For this reason, E-System photographers urgently need Adobe's support to benefit from lens profiles for the E-System that perfectly match into an ACR based workflow. Note that OLYMPUS cameras of the E-System are already supported by ACR, whereas we miss the lens profiles of the same system. Thanks.
Hi, could you please advise when we can expect to see camera raw support for the new nikon D810.Thanks
I just bought the Nikon D750 and my raw files will not open in CC Photoshop. Is anyone else that has this camera experienced this problem? My Photoshop says it is up to date, but I am hoping that since this camera just came out, Adobe will have an raw file update soon.
output format will be jpg. If source file is jpg it works. This happens only(!!!) if "don't enlarge" is checked!
This appears to be a bug in ACR7.2 and Lightroom 4.2RC: When importing RAW shots made with a Sony RX100, in the RAW+JPEG mode, when the JPEG part was set to less than 20Mpixel, Lightroom 4.2RC will misidentify the files as being cropped and will show a crop box centered on the image, even though both the raw and the JPEG did use the full size image. This happens regardless of the used aspect ration, i.e. the crop is not because of the use of a non-native aspect ratio. I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5 for CC on OS X. I open the .dmg file and run the AdobePatchInstaller.app. I get "Update Failed. Updates could not be applied. This patch is not applicable for you..." Hmmm. I am using Photoshop CC and I did download AdobeCameraRaw-8.5-CC-mul-AdobeUpdate. Thoughts?
Hello, I am incredibly upset about the removal of the preview button in Camera Raw. It has completely interrupted my workflow. I don't mind the ADDITION of new features for those who make take advantage of them, but the REMOVAL of perfectly good features that many of us are used to using is asinine and if you can't tell I am rather upset about it. Please for the sake of god bring it back.
Anyone tell me how to read a RAF file please?I am using PS Elements 8 and a Fuji X20 with *.RAF files. The PS e8 is fully updated.
Photoshop CS5/Lightroom: Please add support for lenses Canon EF 8-15mm F4 L Fisheye USM
I'd like to see a few additions to the Grad Filter. First I'd like to be able to change the shape of the line. Take the classic valley situation. I'd like to match the grad to the edge of the mountains. A single point in the line could be dragged down to create the need shape.
Long filenames are truncated to approximately 63 bytes in ACR 8.3/8.4's Save Image... panel. The name truncation happens to the file saved on disk and is visible in the Example Filename area. It doesn't matter what file format is selected. This didn't happen in older versions of ACR, according to the user initially reporting the issue. Examples of truncation are: HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN PÄIVÄKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.cr2 Saving as JPG becomes: HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN P.jpg which is 62 characters but the next character might need a double-byte to represent the vowel points so that would be too long at 64 bytes. And if things are "cleaned up" regarding the comma and Ä then: HIETALAHTI_TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN_SUOMALAISEN_SEURAKUNNAN_PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.cr2 becomes: HIETALAHTI_TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN_SUOMALAISEN_SEURAKUNNAN_PAI.jpg which is 63 characters. Here is a screenshot showing the truncation of the cleaned-up name: The pa
I bought a Samsung NX1100 and want to shoot in Raw format. My CS6 Bridge and Photoshop will not open the SRW files though. I downloaded the lightroom 4 that came with the camera and that will not read the SRW files either. How do I access my SRW files?
I just downloaded Camera RAW 8.4 (from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5739) and installed it. There's not much to it. No real settings to do in the installer. Yet, it doesn't properly install. Photoshop CC says it's still at CR 8.3, and Lightroom still complains it needs CR 8.4 in order to edit a photo in Photoshop. It's installed, definately. The DNG Converter is working, too.So my situation is this:Windows 7 x64Photoshop CC (with CR8.3, apparently)Lightroom 5.4Camera RAW 8.4 installedAll applications have been freshly updated about half an hour ago.So how do I get Photoshop to use CR8.4 instead of 8.3?
Today I downloaded Adobe's latest DNG converter. It is failing with both .NEF and .CR2 files when run in command-line mode. It does appear to work in GUI mode. The switches+arguments I've used for my tests are: -u -e -p1 filename.CR2 (or filename.NEF) With an older (CS2) version of the converter, the above arguments produce a .DNG output file as expected (with .CR2 files; I didn't try it with D3 .NEF files; surely that older version doesn't support the D3's format). With the very latest version, running the program with the above command produces no output. There's no error message. The 'readme' file that comes with the converter doesn't include any information about command-line usage, but I did find a PDF file covering this (adobe.com/products/dng/pdfs/dng_commandline.pdf). The switches+arguments shown in the PDF file appear to be exactly the ones I used in the past. I'm sure I'll need to use the most recent version to convert D3 RAW files. Is there something wrong with how I'm
When I take pictures of my pet, I don't want them to have green eyes.
I am trying to open files in Camera raw from Bridge but get the following message."Bridge's parent application is not active." Both Bridge and CS5 are open and I have opened camera raw previously.Any suggestions.Cheers
That's it, I Cannot open my NEF files in Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw from my new Nikon D800 camera. What am I doing wrong or what is wrong? I have the plug-in Camera Raw 7. and can open TIFF files but not the NEF files.Peace,Charles Fennen
Hi,I'm helping a friend who is happily using PS CS3 on a Mac with Lion or Lepard. I'm a PC person so I'm not sure what those two names mean. Anyway, he has a couple of newer cameras (a Sony and a Nikon) for which CS3 can't interpret the RAW files. As I understand, Adobe is not providing support in CS3 for new RAW files and my friend does not want to upgrade to a later version of Photoshop CS or CC. So, I suggested the free Adobe DNG converter. In looking at the Adobe specs on the DNG copnverter, it says that it requires Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.8. So, two questions:1) Is OS X 10.6 tru 10.8 the same as Lion or Lepard (I suspect not)2) Is there an "older" version of the Adobe DNG converted I can have him download that is compatible with his OS and has (or can get) the code for recent cameras? Thanks -- Dan
Given: Under some conditions Camera Raw writes data back into (overwrites) its input files. Example: A JPEG file. Under other conditions Camera Raw maintains this same kind of information in a separate place (e.g., Sidecar XMP or central database). Example: A CR2 or NEF file. Assuming one uses Camera Raw to open out-of-camera original files as many photographers do, depending on what mode one has captured the images in, Adobe is inconsistent about whether to keep its hands off them or overwrite them... This seems to be because some formats are proprietary and some are well documented. From a programmer's perspective, this makes perfect sense. Trouble is, from a user's perspective, this behavior cannot be described as anything but inconsistent. Personally, I do not want my original out-of-camera JPEGs updated/rewritten under any circumstances. Camera Raw will not touch a proprietary raw file, such as a Canon .CR2 or Nikon .NEF. There's a whole process for remembering settings in a separ
Here are the details:Choosing Help > Updates... gives me the: Adobe Applications ManagerSays "Checking for Updates..." With spinning wheel below which never endsSo I went to the Adobe website and downloaded and successfully ran Adobe DNG and Camera Raw Converter 8.2, but Photoshop still thinks it has version 8.1.0.43Also when I run Adobe DNG Converter, it says 8.2.0.9.4Just Photoshop isn't recognizing the upgraded plug-in. All I need is for Photoshop to know it has the upgraded Camera Raw 8.2. How do I do that?Thank you!!
