Hello.I created a video demo. I replayed the video demo file, realized I had missed some content and realized I needed to add it at a point in the middle of the cpvc file. I cannot find a way to put the cursor in the timeline and add new content. That is correct, right? There's no way to do that.Therefore, it seems I need to:Split the cpvc file into two at the point where I need to add new content. Publish each half to .mp4.Record my new content in a third cpvc file and publish it to mp4.USE WINDOWS "PHOTO" application to combine the three mp4s into one complete mp4.If there is a way to accomplish this simple task within Adobe Captivate, please tell me. I opened the Adobe Captivate Help and searched for "interpolate content into a video demo file" and got a grab bag of useless discussions. Thanks.--Nancy

I have a question that asks the learner to list several key points. I'd like to have 8 text boxes for them to insert 1 key point in each, but only 1 submit button. So it would be something like below:List your key points.1______________2______________3__________I'm working with CP 2019 working on a Html5 project using breakpoints. Hiya,I have inherited an e-learning module created with Captivate and have only used Storyline before. I need to make some changes to the module and I have managed to figure out the basics but two of the slides have got what I'm assuming are HTML5 animations on them. I have never worked with these before so if I sound like I really don't know what I'm talking about it is because I don't! I can see the content when in the 'build mode' and hide/unhide them from the time line, I can see the 'Web' item in the time line and its in the library too. However when I preview the project or publish it they disappear and there is a blank slide instead. I'm assuming they were created with Animate CC and imported to Captivate but I do not have the original files just the ones imported in to the project.I might be missing something totally simple here but wondered if anyone could help?Best Wishes,Jonna

I am making progress with the help of the forum. Now however the screen reader will not read the alt text for the images. I put the alt text in the Properties Accessibility  drop-down menu, and un-clicked the Auto label.  Any ideas? Help is really appreciated.

Hi,in addition to this question: Multiple text input boxes, one submit button! I now have the problem that the "Go to next slide" button, which is defined at the masterslide, don't work. If i click it, nothing will happen.Any ideas what the problem might be?

When building a project within captivate I have specific text boxes that are aligned a certain way. However, when previewing the project the alignment is off from where I have set it. I'm attaching screen shots to show my issue. Any assistance would be fantastic! I'm using the google font Oswald so I was told that this should work across browsers.

Just read that some LMSs don't handle video well. Does Captivate Prime? Thanks.

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know if Adobe or any other 3rd party claim any kind of copyright over content created using Captivate?Thank you

Hello, I'm doing a project with 360º image and I'm not sure if it can be exported to html5. Is there any incompatibility with this technology? What I see is a black background. I am exporting it locally and then upload it to a Moodle server.Thank you.

Dear ComunityI'm having an issue trying to report higher score in LMS, my course have 2 attempts, when user fails  the 2 attempt i like to publish in LMS only the higher score, example: First Attempt Score = 30%Second Attempt Score = 20%In this case it must preserve de higher value, which is: 30%The actual behavior is the last reported value.I know this might sound strange, but is a requirement from my client, i hope some one could help me solving this issue.Im' using Captivate 11.0.1.266Here some screen captures of my project settings:

Hi,i have a advanced function that validates user inputs inside different TEB's. The right value at one of the TEB's should be "060" and if its typed in right, a icon should be displayed. Problem is that the value will not validate correctly. I have a few more TEB's were the right values start with "0" (016, 0500) and they are also not validated correctly. Does Captivate variables misinterpret the "0" infront of numbers?

Hi,there are also a few discussions about this problem, but i think they will not cover my problem in total.What i want to do:I have 12 text input boxes on one slide i want, that with one button, all boxes are validated. So there should be a feedback icon for each input box. Also the answers should be forwarded to the quiz score.Validating if the question is right or wrong and fade in the right feedback can be easy archieved through advanced actions. But how can i forward the answers to the quiz score slide with only one button?

Hello,I have an interactive video with overlay slides. I published the eLearning with a table of contents and it has "Self Paced" checked. When I view the eLearning at the overlay slide portion, I close it. Then I reopen the eLearning (to see if it picks up where I left off) and I get the message in the browser that says "do you want to continue where you stopped." I click YES, and then the eLearning starts AFTER the interactive video. Shouldn't the eLearning pick up where I left off at the overlay slide? It's not, it's completely bypassing the interactive video when I restart the eLearning if I close the eLearning at the overlay slide.

Captivate says it requires AVI, MOV , FLV or F4V files for video....I don't see those on Premier Pro export file types....What are the best export settings for premier Pro Export - to work with Captivate?

I have a web application and I wish to record 2-3 minute task videos that include text to speech, i.e. click this to get that, enter this here and select submit, etc.. Im thinking I should run the Demo mode and record my mouse movements, then add annotations and voice later, but I dont have time to figure it all out; can someone provide me with exact steps to create these videos?Thanks,William

We created a project in Captivate 9 for a different department to host on their training server.  When we tested it here it worked fine.  When they play it from there server it looks very weird.  The Captivate 9 project is a small flashing square and there are two playbars at the top and bottom of the monitor.  They are still using .swf format and maybe posting as a .pdf.  They've requested both formats.Any ideas??Thanks in advance,Susan

Hello. Using Captivate 9 in a Windows 10 environment.I've seen how to assign a key to the Pause/Resume function, but that function does not seem to work with video demos. This is really inconvenient. Surely there is a way to do it, so you can fix something onscreen or answer a question or have any kind of interruption and then resume making your video demo. What is the carefully hidden control that will enable me to do this?Thanks!

I am using Captivate 7 in a Windows 10 environment.An Adobe video says that when I select Window --> Timeline, I should see the entire timeline for my video. I do not, I see only a section of it.The segment I want to trim extends beyond the physical length of the timeline in the Captivate window. In other words, the visible timeline goes from 0 to 1:08, but the section I want to trim goes from 0 to 4:12. I cannot figure out how to select the entire section. The trim endpoints even seem to jump around if I grab one of them and attempt to scroll to the starting point, or ending point, of the area I want to trim.I would prefer not to have to trim one short segment after another until I achieve the complete length. There must be a way to select a lengthy portion of a video and trim it. All suggestions gratefully received.--Nancy

I created an interactive video within Captivate cc 2019, and inserted three overlay slides with questions.The SlideVideo contains music. When the video comes at the point I inserted the overlay slides the background music stops instandly. => Is there a possibility to add a fade OUT / fade IN in the backgroud music when a overlay slide is shown?

I have added an exit button to the end of a Captivate course created via a PowerPoint integration. I used the shape option and checked the Use as Button check box.I set timing as:Display for Rest of SlideChanged Appear After to 0 secsUnchecked Pause AfterTimeline changes:SmartShape  button set to 1 second so the user can click the Exit button immediatelySlide set for 5 secondsI have tested this in IE11 and Chrome and find that each time I get to the last slide and click the Exit button, there is a pause and I have to click the button 1- 2 more times before the course closes. I need to course to close on the first click if possible.First click, nothing happens. Approximately 10 seconds later, click again and course closes. Any thoughts on what I may be doing incorrectly.

Hi everyone..Hope your having a nice day.. I am using Captivate 6. I have published a project with the Select Preset: YouTube Windscreen HD . Once uploaded to YouTube, viewing the video on a computer the quality is not HD it's only 480p ..Is there any possible way to make the quality 4k or 1080p ? Also, I can't publish a project directly to YouTube ..an error message keep showing each time I try to publish it .. 

Dear CommunityI'm working on a Captivate Quiz, in which there are multiple packages of 2 questions.If they got answered correctly, the person comes to the next layer with a more difficult packages of 2 questions.If the person is wrong, doesn't matter if just 1 of the 2 question slides are answered wrong, the person comes to another packages, of the same difficulty.I wanted to solve this problem through different mini-tests within my big Project, where the result leads to the next package of questions.After some searching, I haven't found what I was looking for, so I choose to write in a forum.Are there any functions I didn't know that would work?
