Allow One To Set Default Behaviors. We don't use all behaviors.
Add visemes for expanding mouth shapes options. Using what is predetermined is very limiting and hinders quality of the character.
Ch Animator should work hand in hand with Premiere Pro and AE.
Create Text SRT Files in Character Animator.
Double click on character in viewer to center it.

(There are similar requests, but do not seem exactly the same, so posting a new request.)It would be useful to adjust the duration a take should play for. For example, you may record a take with a dragger, it looks great, but during editorial review you want to speed up a part of it a bit. It would be nice to be able to split that section from the main take, then adjust the playback rate so that the first and last values in the take are precise, but the frames in the middle of the take are interpolated based on the updated duration. Halving the duration would effectively take every second sample, but any duration should be supported where it interpolates between existing samples to end up with a smooth movement (for takes for properties where this makes sense - like draggers; boolean on/off triggers etc would just round to the nearest frame). A longer duration would be a slo-mo effect, a shorter duration can be used to tighten up timing of a nice looking take that is a bit slow.It coul
There's an option to attach the feet to the ground, but it would be really helpful to have hand controls like that too (to a table, a desk, etc.) so it doesn't go all weebly-wobbly during animation. Also, having a separate Handle/Behavior for hands would help to follow the movement capture in-cam and help sell the movements and not be only a floppy continuation of the arms. I saw a lot of problems too with a 3/4 character, arms are suuuper hard to animate. I've change them from already bent to kinda bent and it kinda fixes things, but to get from a file for client approval to animation, it takes times to adjust them so the result is the same. If you can figure something magic out, great (if not, I am probably sure you're doing the best you can). Thanks!
make a wiggle behavior that works with psd puppets or make an easy way to convert to a vector image without having to hand trace every layer.
It would be nice if you could pause the rendering during working on the scene. Also, if I pause the playback the puppets are still rendered in real-time although nothing moves on the screen. This causes my computer to slow down and my laptop to heat up massively and draining its battery heavily. If I pause the playback, I also want the rendering to pause. This problem forces me to do longer working sessions on my computer, as my laptop heats up so much that it is uncomfortable to touch the device. (M1 MacBook Air)
I think that you should give the ability to make puppets in performer mode because some people can't afford software like this and if they could make custom puppets it would encourage using imagination and creativity which is something we have little of these days. but you would make the editor very basic like just have them use like the puppet maker and not photoshop so you could still make money from the premium version which would have full customizability. thank you for your time and please consider my suggestion. -bigoofers28
I would like the limb IK to automatically determine the correct hand artwork (back of hand vs. palm) based on when the elbow flips. I can set up this manually in replays but it would add a lot of flexibility in streaming applications if I could have a swap set of palm and back hand pairs that Limb IK could determine based on the elbow bend.
This option under Puppet in the top menu bar would collect all current rigging data--groups/subgroups, behaviors, triggers and swap sets, as well as the behavior parameters--and create a date/time stamped PDF document of it all. This PDF would be a reference document that could be used by a solo artist when rigging is lost or restructured and needs to be rebuilt and also by teams needing to be on the same page. It would replace the multiple screenshots, manually entered spreadsheets or artists' memory now used to keep track of the rigging data.
Make "Push Parameters to Source Puppet" also an option in Export. As in "Export Puppet with Behavior Parameters."
The Body behavior is great, but I'd rather be able to use it for recording one frame takes like I'm used to. You could add that in, by allowing a 1-Take Frame recording to have a 5 second countdown (or have it linked to the Body Behavior countdown when that behavior is armed). That would allow for those of us who don't want to try and fix bad spots in a body recording by recording a specific pose real quick and allow us to stretch that pose to however long we need it for. Also, being able to point the hands rotationally would be nice. How am I supposed to flip my hands around like a fish if they just rotate with the forearm?! Just a thought.
In the current version, the emitted particles are static images.I would like to see individual movement in the particles. It would be great if the particles could be triggered to blink, or if a cycle layer could be used to emit particles in motion.
Hello. I am used to setting the CACHE location of PS, PrP and AE to a specific, fast external drive. I like having one place that I can empty if I need to, instead of hunting down multiple cache locations to trash whenever anything goes awry with dynamic link, etc. Is it possible to add a user-defined cache location for CH? I imagine trashing CH cache files will be a work-around when dynamically-linked CH files suddenly stop playing audio in AE with the error, "After Effects warning: audio conforming failed, check media cache preferences." I imagine this would also allow users to choose which drives bear the brunt of read-write wear and tear. (Especially important in the age of laptops with built in ssds / finite read-writes.)Thanks!BenjaminMacBook Pro, M1 MAX, OS 12.0.1, 64 GB RamCH 22.0, AE 22.0.1
Inserts a take of x length with blend in/out of x frames. Ability to adjust the length of take and number of blend frames in a panel. Similar to 'record take from work area' but without the looping.
I would like can add effects that you add before at illustrator like blur and blending layers mode, because when you used in illustrator, then CH doesn't take that effects
I'd like to be able to use some kind of notes system, like sticky notes, on the parts of scenes that need editing, and to also see all these notes compiled in a sidebar of the scene.
so im trying to use OBS Virtual camera but character Animator not detecting it Please Help/fix asap other apps like zoom im able to use OBS Virtual camera but only in character Animator not showing OBS Virtual camera option Im very i'm very disappointed to see only 3 options in preferences i want to change GPU to CPU because when i start web cam my GPU usege go to 100% and character Animator starts doing break danceWindows 11 Pro for Workstations, intel 11th gen i5 11600K, 32gb ram, gt730 graphic card, This below when i pressed bug report CA gave copy system info option that im pasting downSteps to reproduce: 1. ... Escalating vector artwork issues to support bares no fruit. They actually told me its a work flow issue! Freaking Vector artwork, Adobe's own technology does not even work with Character Animator. Himanshu wasted an hour of my time and has the audacity to tell me its a work flow issue! I hate dealing with Adobe support, it's terrible.
Latency issues. I have 65 gb of RAM and 2 CPU's - Shouldn't have Latency Issues
When I go to the home page and see available puppets, or if I open Puppet Maker to start customizing a puppet, I have no idea whatsoever what the puppet's behaviors are. Can it do a 1/4 head turn? Can it perform in profile (side view), so that two puppets can talk to each other? Can it nod up and down? Can it breathe? Etc. I work for a non-profit organization that creates videos for people with developmental, visual, motor disabilities, etc., and we need a customizable 3D puppet that can do all of the above. (Except "breathing" isn't all that important.)The only way you can get the answer to these questions is AFTER you start a scene, import the puppet, and select the puppet to look at the behaviors. Some of the puppets allow you to go into rigging and set up a behavior I am looking for, some do not.I would like a behavior preview available, perhaps by right-clicking the puppet's thumbnail? It needs to show two categories: [1] What can the puppet do without going into Rigging, and [2]
