I get the following error when trying to upload a Word doc with my CF based api.  This is not a MIME type I recognize for Word docs, so an error gets thrown by my code. File type(application/x-tika-ooxml) is not supported. This happens only for all Microsoft Office files. I believe it has something to do with CF's fileGetMimeType() function. Below is my code for uploading. Any thoughts on why I'm getting the above mime type, and if there is a way around it? I'm running CF2016(adobe 2016.0.05+303689). I'm using the CFWheels framework, but this has occurred with bare CF too. We are trying to interface with Exchange 2016 using the EWS. The documentation for EWS is awful, very little information from both MS and CF. In particular, we would like to get a library to interface with emails and calendars. Something similar to this:http://www.independentsoft.com/index.htmlBut for ColdFusion, complete with examples. It has been a known fact that in older versions of ColdFusion you could not use the CASE WHEN THEN statements inside a query of queries like you can in a SQL query to a database.Has this changed for CF2016?What about the use of IF and ELSE-IF and ELSE statements in a query of queries?We are using MS SQL Server.

I've been following the documentation here: Adobe ColdFusion API Manager Administrator ...and trying to establish a working connection to our existing users and roles tables. I was able to get a store added to the list, but the option of adding users to this store seems to be disabled, and attempts to search (for an existing user to add) only produces a generic failed message with no logged counterpart.The API Manager provided by our hosting firm must be different than the one documented in the link above. Tabs like "Connection" do not contain fields that are mentioned in the documentation (JDBC Driver, JDBC Connection URL and so forth), and other tabs may contain fields that the documentation doesn't mention.I suspect a version issue, but this UI does not contain the "Update" button/link for my account - so I cannot share which version they installed or how to fix this.Are there any manual updating steps to follow, or should I have the hosting firm contact somebody there for a resolut

Using the CF API Manager Portal, I've added a new API by importing a cfc - using the "Create REST API From SOAP" tool.I would like to remove it now, but cannot see any button in the Edit screen or elsewhere to do so.How do I delete an API from the catalog?Could it be a permissions issue? I see that this UI does not provide the "Update" link mentioned elsewhere.Thanks,Al

Hello,We are trying to setup a ODBC connection to an Iseries and we keep getting an error message when testing the connection. I have contacted coldfusion support and them had me change the port number but we still get that same error. We have contacted IBM and they have had us run trace routes to see if we could find the holdup but they dont even see the connection reach the DB. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution?

We just had a new client start using our site and when they upload their TIFF files to us and my system tries to convert them to a PDF I receive this error:"Unsupported combination of photometric interpretation, samples per pixel, and bit depth. "Yet when we have our customer service team go in and manually convert and merge them using Acrobat Pro it does so with no problems. Has anyone seen this or have any idea's on how to possibly fix it before pushing back against our client to change their files?Thanks,Colin

Hello,I was given access to a fresh install of CF 2016 Enterprise on windows.I went to checkout the api manager and I do not see it anywhere in CFadmin.I did find the one adobe install page which has screenshots of a separate installer but cannot find the installer anywhere.I also found the apimanager addon service installer but that doesn't look like it is the right file to get started.What am I missing?Thanks!RandyH

Hi everyone, I have single page app and I'm wondering what would be better way to logout user from the system. There is two ways that I have explored one is JQuery/Ajax that will call the function and wait to receive the response. Then base on response I will either redirect user to Login page or show an error to the user if exist. Second example is JQuery/Ajax will call the function then I will use cflocation to redirect user to the login page. However both methods have some wired errors for example first example few times throw JavaScript error for some reason. I couldn't find anything that caused that. Second example does not redirect user to the login page. Instead sits on the page where user was before logout process that is wrong. We are running Coldfusion 2016, this issue was not present in Coldfusion 9 which we upgraded from.I am using a basic CFGRID on my page that is getting loaded from a query. I am using the tag based method to code my page.One item in the query is an HREF link that brings the user to another page with info specific to that row. The dataset being passed to the cfgrid can be large.My issue is when the CFGrid become longer than the page. The grid displays fine but when I scroll lower than the first row when the row, or link, is clicked the page just jumps to the top of the CFGRID. The selected row is highlighted, but the link isn't activated.There is nothing special to my cfgrid tag or my gridcolumn tags. Hello,I'm running ColdFusion 2016 on Windows Server 2012 R2 and am having problems getting CFM files to work through an IIS virtual directory that points to my Azure File storage account.I followed the instructions here: David So's Blog - IIS and Azure Files  , minus the Shared Configuration stuff because it doesn't apply to me, and can access test TXT files that are in the virtual directory that point to my Azure files storage account. The problem I'm having is with browsing CFM files. We are working to cluster our CF2016 instance.  However, we have an application that uses application variables and there are times when specific ones need to be refreshed.  When calling the cluster to refresh them there is no way to guarantee you will get both boxes refreshed.  Any suggestions on a methodology or process to ensure both cluster members get refreshed without having to restart them individually?thank you

Hello,I have an issue. When using web sockets over https with firefox and IE i'll get a message saying that connection is insecure. However with chrome or safari the websocket is connected reguardless. I think it has to do with one protocol being ws and the other being wss. Is the wss websocket supported? Any work-arounds (aside from redirecting the user away from https) on the pages i want to use websockets. Thanks for all your help

I've been running cf8 on a windows webserver 2008 with IIS7.5 and have just installed cf11. The install completed successfully to the point of opening cfadmin and then failed. On looking in the web root directory as set in IIS, the old CFIDE folder had not been updated, so cf11 was attempting to use the cf8 version.I renamed the old cfide folder to cfide08, uninstalled cf11 and tried reinstalling it again - but still no cfide folder was created for cf11, and I couldn't open cfadmin. The cfide folder does get created in c:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\wwwroot\cfideHas anyone else experienced this, or know how to fix it?

We’re experiencing an important issue on our CF11 server: when we try to resize an image, it changes its appearance to a negative/posterized image (e.g. see attached images). We tried both with ImageResize/ImageScaleToFit functions and cfimage tag, and we also made several tests by changing the interpolation and the other options value.Further more, we have 4 different CF instances on the same server, with pretty similar configurations and with exactly the same Java version (1.8) and libraries, but we have this issue only on one of them and it start to appear few weeks after the previous reboot, so we need to restart again the instance to avoid the problem.Can you please provide a solution or suggest any other way to solve this issue?

Hi, i'm working on getting some email delivered and am being told i need to sign my emails with DKIM.  I have a DKIM key from my hosting provider, but am unsure how to do this in CFMAIL and I cannot find anything on the internet either (or this forum).   Can someone share an example of how I would do this?Thank you!Dave

I have system that I built and for this project I used Ajax with JQuery. On back end I use ColdFusion and session management to handle users session variables. There is two situations (actually three if we consider closing the browser) where users session will end. One situation is if they click Logoutthen I have function that will clear SESSION scope with all information in it but session is not ended. Also CFID and CFTOKEN are still the same. I am trying to use the <CFHTMLTOPDF> tag to generate PDF output but radio groups that have no option selected is appearing in the PDF output with the first option selected.  If I wrap the same HTML around the <CFDOCUMENT format="PDF"> tag, the radio group in the PDF output is rendered correctly (no radio buttons are selected in the group).Is this a bug with the <CFHTMLTOPDF> tag?  Is there any workaround for this issue?Thanks for your help.

When preforming a query of query I am losing the sort order of the cached query.The column that the cached query is sorting by is not one I could use in the new query. Is there any way to keep the sorting the same through both queries?Thanks

I am using window 10, 64bit on a PC. I am also using Coldfusion 2016. I did a  Coldfusion query output that displays a history of reading input of water usage for an apartment from an electronic submeter. I am able to output the date of the meter reading and the gallons of water that was used. What I'm having difficulty with is creating two additional columns that dynamically calculate within the same query output the days lapse between each meter reading and the difference in the water used since the last read. Any insights.
