Hi, Just recently I started this tutorial for CFML. Going through this course was pretty straightforward and almost without a hassle. But now I have hit a brick wall at using coldfusion components. I followed the instructions in the video and the assignment but I stumble upon this error and cant figure out what is going wrong. As I am adding the references to the different functions in the component i stumble upon an error. The reference to the getNewsYears function is at the top of my code(as the assignments says). But the output is somewhere at the bottom. The Error below keeps popping up.I cannot find any info on frequent mistakes made during the tutorial. Can anybody see what I am doing wrong?

I've all but given up.Running cold fusion 2016 on windows pro 8.1 and using ms sqlsvr 2014 all  running on the same machine and using localhostI've tried several configurations and i end up with basically the same dead end .I've tried to set up dsn's on windows. I am connecting to the unsplash api (it allows free images to be used in websites) and the problem is that up until today everything was working fine. Hello,I have an existing/working CF10-SQL 2008 DataSource that I need to make encrypted. I have added the following connection string to the advanced setting of the DSN: EncryptionMethod=SSL; trustStore=C:/ColdFusion10/jre/bin/cacerts; trustStorePassword=PASSWORD; ValidateServerCertificate=true;The SSL certificate for the SQL server was issued with the FQDN and resides on the SQL and ColdFusion servers and was loaded in to the CF certificate store. When verifying the DSN, I receive the following error:Connection verification failed for data source: TestSSLDSNjava.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [Macromedia][SQL Server JDBC Driver] SSL Handshake failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested targetAny assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hello, all,My boss is working on an addition to our site that has a form to submit that a user can use to submit a complaint.  He is using a custom-made CAPTCHA that is randomly generating a three digit number and setting that to a session variable.  The form handler page then compares what the user entered to the session variable.  But the JSESSIONID is changing on every click, etc., so when the handler gets the form, it's a new session and the values do not match.What can we do to make this work?V/r,^ _ ^

My ColdFusion 11 app is working fine on my local machine (Windows 10). But when I open any .cfm file in Eclipse or even in a Notepad, I get the content - such as the following - that is not readable. It was not happening before. How can I make the files readable again?

Hello!We have a system running on Cold Fusion. The server was running on CF7 and we upgraded it to CF11 and now the isDefined are not working anymore.To be honest I do very few Cold Fusion coding, it's an old system that was not maintained that I just got and I have to manage. I am learning everything.I've read that isDefined is not the best and would be better to use structKeyExists instead. hello alli might not be the dumbest of system admins here, but i feel utterly left alone on the CF 2016 update 5 page:ColdFusion (2016 release) Update 5 in there, it says JRE needs to be updated.  so far, so ok.  it say 'for 32 bit coldfusion, use 32 bit jre'.  i can also understand that.on this page: How to change/upgrade JDK version of ColdFusion server | Adobe ColdFusion Blog , i found on how to do that.  there is a download page linking there for downloading JRE: Java SE - Downloads | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle .  if i choose SE 8 Server JRE, i get here: Server JRE (Java SE Runtime Environment) 8 Downloads problem: i run coldfusion in 32 bit mode due to some older cfx tags which we still need.  on the page above, there is no 32 bit version of JRE...what am i supposed to do?thanks for any help and insights.lukas

I have configured a dedicated site, separate from my website, for my ColdFusion administrator (CFIDE).  So I have my website here: http://www.public-site.com/ and my ColdFusion admin here: http://www.cfadmin-site.com/ .  They both live on the same server but under different directories.  So now I am configuring my ColdFusion settings and wondering if there is some way to configure the missing template handler and site-wide error handler to use files that live under the public site directory so that I can give my users a consistent look?I am guessing that this is not possible but thought I would ask.  I may be left with creating the modules under my ColdFusion admin directory and then using <cflocation> to redirect the user back to the public website environment.  Or embedding some javascript to redirect them.  Any other thoughts?

Hello, all,I've got a table in an Oracle 12g db that is BLOB for storing files.  I'm trying to find a way to get the size of a single file contained within the BLOB column.I am not saving the file to the server before inserting it into the db; it is going straight to the db to cut down on disk i/o, so I can't get the file size before inserting.Any thoughts?V/r,^ _ ^

I see that enterprise edition of CF 11 has the native drivers to connect to informix. I can't find anywhere if standard edition has the native drivers. Anyone know?

Hello,I have a few questions.  First a little about our current setup.Currently we're running CF 10 enterprise on a dedicated server as a production server and a second not quite as powerful server as a test server / fail-over.We are moving to a cloud solution with 2 identical VMs with 4 cores each, 1 will be production and once more the second would be a test / development / fail-over server.  At first we're going to move with CF10 just to get things configured and running again but we'd like to move to the latest version of cf soon after so we can then be on the newest and most up to date software.My questions:1)  If I read things correctly we would need to have either 2 standard licenses or 1 enterprise license to cover our installation as our test / fail-over server is covered in the purchase.2)  I am not entirely sure why we are using Enterprise currently as I do not believe we are even using any of it's features.  What features would be lost / gained if w

When running the installer to generate a .war file there was no option to disable the .NET connector.We need to disable the .NET connector which is automatically enabled. I didn't find a config file to turn this off either.In neo-dotnet.xml there is an option to set the port, but no option to disable completely.

Hello to everybodyI work with ColdFusion 10.I must create a excel document containing some sheets. I use cfspreadsheet instructions and SpreadsheetFormatRows for modifying the style of my page.The current problem that I have, if for the sheet one I use one colour for the background of some cells, the system keep the colour.The next time I fill the cell, the background is equal of previous sheet.I would like to remove it.
