Hi,I need to retrieve mailing results from the third party we use to send our newsletter.  Results can be exported to a .CSV file from their site but this is limited to 500 records.  I already know what the output will look like (see partial output below from their site). On my local development configuration with IIS 10 and Coldfusion 2021 Update 16, the access of the IDE to RDS does not work any more via IIS.In the isapi_redirect.log file I see the following lines:[Thu Oct 10 10:46:00.677 2024] [11236:21128] [warn] jk_check_path::jk_util.c (2476): Blocking this uri: [/CFIDE/main/ide.cfm] since its starting with cfide If I change the port to the port used by Coldfusion Administrator in the IDE, RDS works, but I am still not able to use the debugger. The message received is the following:  (I know that Coldfusion builder is EOL and I actually use Visual Studio Code for development, but I was still not able to get the debugger to work there, so I use Coldfusion builder for debugging at the moment) Any idea, how to configure this?

Team,  our Infrastructure changing later this year and main impact is IP on our Web server where CF installed  changing. ?  I have identified 2 changes in IIS/Hosts file change., Does WSconfig /connector need to be rebuilt?I have validated no IP's embedded in CF source code. I am currently at update 9, plan to go to latest update 16 next month. ty Jose

In ColdFusion 2023, when the CF container starts, ColdFusion imports the database settings from the JSON file. This works similarly to ColdFusion 2021, but in 2023, the data source is not being imported correctly. The log indicates the data source was imported successfully, but it wasn’t.The CF configuration is imported using a .car file, and the database settings are imported using a .json file. Keeping both separate is for security reasons.If I use only the datasource.json file without the .car file, it works fine. Actually, even if you use both the .car file and the JSON file, it works fine as long as you exclude the caching from the server settings in the .car import.I tried everything again with a fresh CF 2023.10 install, but the issue persists. 

We are using ColdFusion 2018 internally on Windows Server 2016. The Nutanix cluster on which ColdFusion is installed in a virtual machine is scheduled to migrate to a new Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). This change will be transparent at layer 3 (routing). However, we need to find out if any part of the ColdFusion licensing is tied to a Windows server or to a server instance. Essentially, we need to know if our ColdFusion 2018 license will still be recognized and valid after migration. Can anyone please assist with this question? Thank you.

My company is starting to investigate upgrading from Oracle 19c to 23c/23ai (whatever you want to call it) and we have a couple apps running on ColdFusion.  We are currently on CF 2021, but expect to upgrade to CF 2023 by the end of the year.  The support matrices for CF 2021 & 2023 only show support up to Oracle 19c.   First question - any idea when/if Adobe will support newer versions of Oracle than 19c?  Will it be in one of the current CF versions or future 202? I understand the support matrix docs only list the versions that Adobe has officially tested and it could be possible to download and use an OJDBC driver directly from Oracle, setting it up as an "Other" datasource, however I can't find any documentation on whether ColdFusion has support for multitenant architecture and what changes need to be made for multitenancy, which is apparently available in Oracle 19c and required in 23c/23ai.   There is an old forum posting from 2014

with regards to a database driven site that relies on a single page, 'show_merchandise.cfm' to display products, is it ok for Coldfusion to fill in the title and meta tags ?eg.<title>#title_info#</title><meta name="keywords" content="#keyword_info#">

We have 10 years old legacy site and as part of one requirement we are planning to move all the css and js files into CF but we are not sure about core component container.js and utils.js, Just want to know what is the functionality of mentioned js files and if we remove from the page what will happen to the existing site. Is it fine to remove or not?

Does anyone know if Adobe have a CFML code analysis tools to help us figure out/identify which code would not work with latest update level?The reason we are looking for this is we have about 200 app that date back to 15-20 years ago that are still running, but with latest CF updates is appears that there might be some possible break changes for us.Please advise.

Hello all,I am running CF2021 version 5. Should I SKIP 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and upgrade to 16 directly? or I have to upgrade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16?Thank you

As with the previous version, I am unable to install CF2023 on my Mac running Ventura 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a). When I try to run the installer it is not allowed until I click "Allow Anyway" in the Privacy and Security settings. Then I run the installer again and this time the same thing happens for "java".  But even when I click "Allow Anyway" amd rerun the installer I always get stuck at the "java" part.  Very frustrating.  I had the exact same issue before and it was never solved.  I assume no one on the ColdFusion team acatully tried to install it in on OSX? Any help or thoughts?

Hey CF Community! I'm a new System Administrator for my college and I've started taking over some applications that run CF2021. Recently, while working in my lower environment I have been unable to start the ColdFusion Application Server. When I run the cfstart.bat to check for errors, I get the following: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: =TRUECaused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: =TRUEat java.base/jdk.internal.loader.BuiltinClassLoader.loadClass(BuiltinClassLoader.java:581)at java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoaders.java:178)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:521) I did not make any updates to CF so I am unsure why I am getting this error all of a sudden. If more info is needed to debug the issue let me know and I will provide it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,  After I upgraded ColdFusion 2023 to the latest version (build 10), the version of Java located in the "jre" folder under the "ColdFusion2023" directory  was still just "17.0.6".   It looks like Java version is supposed to be at version "17.0.10". Are the updates supposed to upgrade Java as well, or do I need to update them separately?Thanks!

I recently installed CF 2023 and from the CF Admin console I chose the option to Download and Install the latest update (update 10).  I noted that hotfix-010-330680.jar was downloaded  to <cf_root>\bundles\updateinstallers\, but other than that, no install was kicked off.  Tried the option 2 or 3 times. So I decided to go the manual route (ColdFusion (2023 release) Update 10 (adobe.com)).  Step 1, download the hotfix... simple.  The part I question is steps 2 & 3 which state to download a file named hotfix-packages-cf2023-010-330680.zip, upzip it to a location, and then  "Update "packagesurl" in cfusion/lib/neo_updates.xml of cfusion and all its child instances to point to <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath>/bundles/bundlesdependency.json present inside the downloaded folder." With <InstallerRepositoryUnzippedPath> being the path where the hotfix-packages-cf2023-010-330680.zip file was extracted.&

Hello, has anyone run into this issue when implementing SAML for SSO or otherwise in your coldfusion application:There was a problem when calculating the Signature of the SAMLRequest I have tried every possible configuration of the IDP and SP, which looks like the following, however im pretty sure this has to do with the idp signcertificate, which is copy and pasted in X509Certificate format from the idp xml metadata. I am on 2021 update 10 i see they now have 16. My question is that i have been reading some of these posts and it seems a few of these updates are doozies, meaning really things i need to watch out for and test my code with beforehand? Is there any easy document that will tell you or where to look for each one that would clearly explain? i know one of them deals with some patch you can put a few versions early and check log file to make sure your coding is okay? anything else major? Adobe has got me scared to update anything now and when i do should i do one patch at a time? Been with CF since 4.0 and i am not sure if its age or whatever but these updates seem to be getting scarier and sloppier or over the years.

Hello, Have an issue running a scheduled task on CF2018. Hitting the url in a browser window it runs fine, but via the schedule task when I output to a file all im getting in the file is error code: 1010 Not seeing anything wrong in execption.log or scheduler.log. Anyone any ideas? Thanks

I maintain a site that was originally created in CF over 12 years ago. It's massive, and frankly the non-profit can't afford a total redo. Some of the sections used CFgrid to allow updating multiple records at once. My problem is that it's a shared server and CFC files are blocked. I've found solutions, but they all require CFC files.

Is there a ColdFusion roadmap that goes beyone 2023?  I have reviewed the current roadmap posted and it goes up to 2028ish but that appears to simply be the EOL of CF 2023.

In ColdFusion, we generated an OAuth token to send notifications. However, due to the limitations of FCM HTTP v1, we cannot send notifications to multiple devices at once. To overcome this, we found a solution: using a TOPIC to subscribe device tokens. Recently I upgraded to CF2023 version. I observed a strange behaviour with a .cfc file that is included in one of the .cfml files using cfinclude tag. When I run that CFML file, it displays form as well as the contenet of the .cfc page on the top of the page. Please see the attached screenshot for the same. I dont see this issue in CF2016. Does the CF2023 not support .cfc files? Can some help me in this please?
