ColdFusion

What is the best route to determine why the coldfusion application service is hanging periodically?  When this 'freeze' occurs I have to shutdown all the coldfusion services to get the application service to restart.  Sometimes it even requires restarting IIS,  For other java applications that hang, I can do a 'kill -3 (or quit)' and it generates a heap dump.  Some vendors will take this heap dump and analyze it and be able to tell you exactly what froze and likely why.  Is that something that adobe can do if we purchase a higher level support contract?  Or in your experience is it better to find a third party consultant? Hi,I am working in a coldfusion application which is hosted in 2  windows servers with IIS versions 6.0 and 7.5. The problem is that nowadays the users are getting the IE error page 'Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage'. This issue is not bounded to a single page. Users are getting this issue in different pages when they click links or click the submit button. And this issue is replicated in two different servers. I thought of being this as a cache issue and tried with the nocache. But it didnt work. I am clueless about this now. Please help me out. Thanks.

Hi,My issue is that when ever user is clicking link or submit a form, sometimes instead of directing to a new page, it will show the internet explorer error page 'Internet explorer cannot display this webpage'. I didnt find any error message in the log in cf admin as well as IIS admin. Then I checked with a simple HTML page which refreshes in every 3 minutes. I found that this page is also showing the same issue. So I think the issue is not related to Coldfusion. Still the issue persists. So does anybody have any idea about this? Please advice. Hi,I have been using coldfusion to generate pages on my server. However I have noticed that coldfusion seems to be generating the code below before the main code of the page. Hello,I have an application that is hybrid JRun 4 (JSP and Servlets) along with a good chuck of ColdFusion MX6 pages and components that I need to upgrade to more current technology. I want to go to ColdFusion 11, which I understand comes with a Java Application Server.Q1: Is it likely it will be able to run my existing JSP and Servlets, in addition to the CF6 pages and components?Q2: Do the JDBC drivers still come with or work with the latest version?Thanks.Greg

I have a chart that spans many years and lists each month.I would like to keep the graph and data points listed by month, but maybe only have the axis list the years?  The exact dates aren't important, the trend of the graph is.Here is an example, clearly the dates are unreadable.Can this be done?  I'm using CF9.Thanks

Hello, all,I have a weird issue with the dev network that I'm trying to set up in my home. I have an Ubuntu Server 14 (Trusty Tahr) running Apache2 and ColdFusion Server 11. When I first got CF Server installed, it worked great. I added the PHP module to Apache and it works great. I'm not sure what happened, or when it happened, but I created a "index.cfm" file and placed it in the /var/www/html/rrp folder. Using Coldfusion 11 with IIS 7 - calling a non-existent component method returns Internal Server error 500 instead of a 404 type error.  This is a problem because security scanning software calls the 500 error as a medium security risk.  Unchecking the "Enable HTTP Status codes" box in the server settings will return the CF  specific error which triggers the NullPointerException error.  Does anyone else notice this or has dealt with this before?  

We currently have CF 9 and have an application that uses cfpop.  We are upgrading company mail to use Office 365.  I was able to get cfmail working with Office 365 no problem, but cfpop is not working I believe because of the Office 365 TLS requirement.  If I upgrade to CF 10, will the new cfpop feature of "secure="yes"" enable cfpop to work with Office 365?  I do not want to upgrade at this time if that will not fix our problem.Thank you!

I was wondering if anyone had insight to the processing order of the cfmail spool queue.  I was under the impression that it would be under first in first out, but as I am monitoring it today I am seeing that is not the case.at 1:30pm I am seeing emails yet to go out from 8:45am, and I am watching other emails from later batches go out before them.  It almost appears like coldfusion is treating the emails like they are in batches, evenly plucking a message from every batch that comes in rather than attacking them in the order that they were received.My customers tend to send their emails in batches of 1000-3000 emails at a time based on their queries.  Sometimes a single transactional message appears in that queue too.  Somtimes it goes out before the ones before it, or after.Some days it can get pretty busy, but eventually it all catches up and the queue empties out.Thankssteve
