I need to upload multiple files (potentially all images, all PNG) to the server from a mobile device to a CF8 server. Probably as many as 50 small png imagesCould anybody give me some pointers as to the best possible approach to this.ThanksMark

I need to convert my minutes in my HH:MM record to decimal.For example if I have 43 hours and 15 minutes (43:15) I need to return the result 43.25 hoursand if i have 10 hours and 30 minutes I need to return 10.50 hours.How do I do this?

Hi - we've just upgraded from cf8 to cf9 and are getting a fair few of these errors - "Error Executing Database Query. Incorrect string value: '\xE2\x80\x8BWe ...' for column" as we try to insert a row in the db.The query is inserting the following string "We are seeking a" - nothing innocuous in the text and certainly no instance of this string '\xE2\x80\x8B' (despite what the error message says).Has anyone else run into this, any ideas what's going on?Thanks very much for any help you can offer as I'm completely stuck.Thank you.Kind regards,Nick

I have just installed CF11 on our dev and QA servers and am getting a strange issue on only one of them. On our QA server, instead of the calandar control showing up when <cfinput type="datefield"> is used, I get the text "Date Picker". I can't find anything on this on any help forums so I was hoping someone has come across this as I can't seem to figure out the issue. What baffles me is that it works fine on one server with the same CF version. Thanks is advance. 

I'm trying to use CFFTP to retrieve files from a remote FTP site to download to my local directory. I would see the file in the local directory but with 0 kb. Wondering what was going on, I tried accessing just the directory and got an 'Access is Denied' error. The funny thing is that it was working fine a few weeks ago until we made some server changes. We had some FTP sites set up but closed them. Could closing them have anything to do with it? I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to this stuff.We're using CF9 and IIS7 btw. Can someone explain what's causing this and how do I go about fixing it? There are 3 changes from CFB2 to CFB3 that are pretty annoying and I am wondering if anyone has a fix?Word-wrap has seemed to have disappeared. It is no longer in preferences in the same place, nor any other that I can find? I have found an eclipse plugin to take care of this for now, but wondering if there is an official way to do this within CFB3 or was this an Aptana feature that Adobe decided not to implement in their rewrite? I would think word-wrap to be pretty basic functionality in an editor...In Outline View I always set the filter to CFFUNCTION only. When using cfscript based components, the outline view is polluted by any javadoc comments you may have. There is a new toggle button available: "Show Function Only" but it defaults to off and so you continually need to click this button for every cfc you have open to hide the mis-parsed comment detritus. Very annoying. There must be a way to either remove these comments altogether or at least have that toggle feature stick to on

I have a cluster of 2 IIS web servers on Windows Server 2008 R2. They had been running on CF10 for over a year (if not two) with no problems. I upgraded one server to CF11 and now that server is crashing while the CF10 servers is still running fine. In the Windows event log I'm seeing 4 instances of this error:"A process serving application pool '******' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '4652'. The data field contains the error number."Then finally:"Application pool '******' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.".Looking at the application pool in the IIS admin it is stopped. Restarting will resolve but it will eventually crash. What could be the issue?-Phil

I'm using a developer install of ColdFusion 11. I set up the following page at http://localhost:8500/test/index.cfm: <cfthrow type="application" message="This is an error"> When I visit that page, the HTTP status code returned is 500, as expected.I then created the following page at http://localhost:8500/error.cfm: <p>Sorry! That was an error.</p> If I set the site-wide error handler in the CF Admin to /error.cfm and visit /test/index.cfm, the HTTP status code returned is 200 OK.This seems weird to me. It looks like I can include the following in the error.cfm file to send an error code instead: <cfheader statuscode="500" statustext="Server Error"> Does anyone see that as problematic? Is there a reason why the site-wide error handler should return 200 OK?

Hello,ColdFusion 10 (Enterprise) and Oracle 11g were configured and was working well. However recently Oracle 11gR2 was upgraded to version 12c, and this broke many things. Mainly, the data source connections that were setup in CF Admin page to query databases on Oracle does not work any more.Is there any action required from our side to update anything so that I can continue querying Oracle databases on 12g, as we used to do earlier on 11gR2? We use JDBC driver to connect.Or does Adobe CF10 not support Oracle 12g at all, and require an update to a new CF version?Thanks,Arun

I installed CF 11 on a Windows 2008 R2 server as a fresh install on IIS7.I used the "The Coldfusion 11 Lockdown Guide" which specifies to use 'Request Filtering' on page 17.  It also states:IMPORTANT: As of 4/10/14 in the latest CF11 build request filtering is not working or urls handled by Coldfusion.  This needs to be fixed.The the IIS portion of the guide is dependent upon the 'Request Filtering' working.  Mine did not work either.So, if you follow the steps your CF sites will not work, (neither will the administrator).When can we expect this to be fixed?  Shouldn't the statement above be put on page 1 of the guide!  A lot of work to get to the page only to find out it will fail.Has anyone come up with a fix or workaround for this?

I'm trying to read in a pdf form, complete the fields and send it to the user's browser. However I approach it, whenever I use a cfpdf type of tag, I get the error message "Platform, Locale, and Platform Name must not be null".For example the following flags an error on the cfpdfformparam line:<cfpdfform action="populate" source="Order Acknowledgement Form4.pdf">     <cfpdfformparam name="Text1" value="Test Data"> </cfpdfform>What am I doing wrong?Using CF9.01 Developer edition. In ColdFusion we can create DSN in 2 ways. Either we can select the driver for the specific database or we can use the Other as the driver and we can create the DSN by specifying the connection string. Which is the best way in terms of the performance for apps. Any idea.Here I am looking to create the DSN to SQL Server 2012 and I have create 2 DSN's, one with SQL Server  driver and one with other and mentioned the connection string.  I don't see any difference as of now. Please advise which one to user.

In CF11 administrator site, I have set a timeout value of 15000 seconds. However the jobs has timeout after 960 seconds (value set in the settings page).Is this attribute deprecated in CF11 ?As a workaround, I have added a cfsetting in the page itself.Thanks,Pierre.

My company owns three licenses of the (incredibly old) V5 ColdFusion server license.  We want to move the product to a new server group but are unable to obtain the media to install it on the new servers.  I had asked Adobe if they could provide it but the oldest available was V7.  Does anyone have any ideas on ways we can locate the media so we can move to our new servers?  Our last ditch option is to buy new and consider the old licenses worthless.
