Right now, when CF encounters an error, I get a page with a single line of text and a large circle that says ERROR.Though I'm sure this is a safe template to show users, I am testing in a closed environment and need more info. I went into the CF ACP and turned on Robust Exception Information, but that error still shows. Is there a way to get CF to display error information instead of this template while I'm in closed development environments?I had to wrap my code in a TRY/CATCH and dump the CFCATCH in order to get the useful info.
GreetingsWe recently upgraded from CF8 to 10- (IIS win 2008 R2)We also recently moved the intranet from an older server to a virtual environment (VM ware).Since these changes were made, quite a number of people who are trying to login to various apps across the organization are experiencing one or both of these issues:1) they enter their UN & PW- it simply disappears and goes nowhere2) they get "request_uuid undefined in session" errorI have: <cfset Session.request_uuid=createUUID()> at many login pages Some are having the issue, some are not. All are using either IE 7 or 8, and 95% win 7. There is no evidence that the IE versions play any role in this. There are 320 people in the org.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Norman
ColdFusion 10.0 - Bug 3488063: When will this be fixed?
I have two scripts that have been running happily for a couple of years. The last couple of days they have thrown "The request has exceeded the allowable time limit Tag" -- one for a cfquery and another for a cfftp. Can anyone tell me if these cfdumps contain any useful information that would help me identify why they timed out? There are no entries in the application.log or exception.log related to these two incidents.MessageThe request has exceeded the allowable time limit Tag: cfftp StackTracecoldfusion.runtime.RequestTimedOutException: The request has exceeded the allowable time limit Tag: cfftp at coldfusion.tagext.net.FtpTag.checkTimeout(FtpTag.java:650) at coldfusion.tagext.net.FtpTag.doStartTag(FtpTag.java:674) at coldfusion.runtime.CfJspPage._emptyTcfTag(CfJspPage.java:2661) at cfsendLLfile2ecfm923917397.runPage(E:\Inetpub\wwwroot\scheduledTasks\processLMS\sendLLfile.cfm:27) at coldfusion.runtime.CfJspPage.invoke(CfJspPage.java:196) at coldfusion.filter.CFVar
This topic gets beaten to death here, but it's such an annoying CF Builder function. Here's my rant. Maybe someone can give some insight. If focused on a page Ctrl-F brings up a search within the page. I have gotten used to the quirks doing this, so I won't discuss that here.If focused in the Navigator pane Ctrl-F brings up a multi-file dialog. Here is what I typically do:Scope: ProjectsProjects: Select the project I want to updateFile extensions: I select "CFM and CFC only" which shows as *.cfm, *.cfml, *.cfcSearch: TextFind: somethingReplace: with something elseI click the Replace All button. When it works, it works well. However it often will start scanning ALL files. I see it hitting jpg, cvs, js, and every other type of file. This could take a good ten minutes or more on some of my bigger sites. I click the "Cancel" button, but it just keeps going. So I give it the three finger salute and end the program. Typically, after s

I have two cfselect. Both cfselect have first option being blank (nothing selected). These two cfselect are working as mutually Exclusive OR (i.e. if a non-blank option selected in one cfselect, then another cfselect will be set to the first option (nothing selected) before submitting the cfform. Yet, the javascrip function for onClick event is not called (tested with alert message in the javascript function).
I am new to installing hotfixes in our ColdFusion installation. The hotfixes have been installed successfully, but I have noticed that on the Adobe Security bulletins and advisories web page that a hotfix can be updated days or weeks after it was originally posted. What does this mean if the hotfix was updated After you have already installed it? Do you have to reinstall the hotfix? Or is this some sort of other update (comments, documentation, etc. ) that does not affect the installation. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
What can be done when 64-bit Cold Fusion 9 ODBC Service will not install on a Windows Server 2008-R2 64-bit machine? Yes, most of the things in other discussions have been tried.
Hi Guys,We are working on implementing TOTP Two-factor Authentication in Coldfusion. We are refering a code which is in PHP and is working fine and is validating the token. Here is the link for the same: http://www.idontplaydarts.com/2011/07/google-totp-two-factor-authentication-for-php/But our coldfusion version is not authenticating tokens. It always returns false. Here are the few points which we feel can cause issue:1. Difference in the timestamp of server and our client: Is there any method to find out the same, so that we can make adjustments to the timestamp value on our side?2. In PHP there is a code $binary_timestamp = pack('N*', 0) . pack('N*', $timestamp);and they said "The time-stamp first needs to be reduced into a binary string of 8 bytes. Since pack doesn’t support 64bit integers we use two unsigned 32 bit integers to make up the binary form."How to convert the above line of code to Coldfusion syntax.Right now, we are doing this<cfset binarystring = left(for

I have a CF form that when posted sends an email with an attachment from our website to an email specified in the form. The email is sent using the CFMAIL tag.Pretty straight forward. Now for compliance reasons I need to keep records of what was sent to whom and when.Ideally I'd like to run the emails though our mail server and not the CF server. Is something like that possible?

Hi,I have the form with div to hide and show. When i click on radio button two, enter city name then hit submit, but validation still asked for name is required from div0.The problem is that when these fields are hidden (using display='none'), validate still looking for that field andwon't let the form submit if the fieldis is blank.Does anyone know of a way I can have it checks to see if the field is visible or hidden, and decide whether or not to let the form submit?function show(a,b) {document.getElementById(a).style.display = "block";document.getElementById(b).style.display = "none";}function hide(a,b) {document.getElementById(a).style.display = "none";document.getElementById(b).style.display = "none";} <cfform action="test.cfm" method="post" name="form" id="form"> <cfinput type="radio" name="approve" value="1" onclick="show('d0','d1'); ">One<br> <div id="d0"> &nbs
Trying to do a brand new install of CF10 on Win 7. As soon as I tell it to use all IIS websites, it bombs telling me to Ebable the required options under ASP.NET, CGI, ISAPI extensions. Clearly IIS did not install correctly under Windows. Tried uninstalling IIS, reinstalling. No dice. Or is this indeed a CF10 problem?
Normally when I connect a database resource, we use a user specific to the MSSQL server. However, I have a new resource that requires putting in domain-based credentials. I've tried inputting domain\username for the domain-based db user in the regular username field, but that bounces me to the "invalid login" error. Surely it is trying to interpret that username as a regular MSSQL user account. How do I tell it that the account is in Active Directory instead? Maybe there is something I should add to the "Connection String" field?Alternatively, I imagine I could set up a JDBC "other" driver, though that's more of a pain of course. Thanks,Chuck
