After installing update 16 to ColdFusion 2016, my PDF generation code has stopped working. Typically I am using cfdocument to generate the PDF, and the CFCONTENT to push it to the browser. Now I just get timeouts (error 524 via CloudFlare). Prior to the update, it was working fine and it seems other code is working fine too. Thank you

I'm trying to download Coldfusion 2018 developer edition, but it doesn't matter what options I choose the adobe dlm picks solaris version for download (I'm trying to download the windows 64 bits version)
My CF2016 developer edition has decided it does not want to start (on Windows 10). I did do some MS Updates over the past few days but it did't stop immediately. I am not sure if it's related to the updated, but after I did them I started to get blue screens (thanks MS), which I fixed by removing Skype, put Skype back on and no more blue screens (yet). Nothing else has changed. This takes me to Windows version 2004 Build 19041.508 I took a look at this post (although I have enough memory), and tried a manual starthttps://community.adobe.com/t5/coldfusion/windows-could-not-start-the-coldfusion-2016-application-server-on-local-computer/td-p/9711733?page=1 This is the resultPS C:\coldfusion2016\cfusion\bin> .\cfstartOct 02, 2020 10:52:04 AM org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener lifecycleEventINFO: The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: [C:\ColdFusion
I was downloading binaries for CF2018 LINUX-64 bit versions of the coldfusion software today. After downloading them to my computer, I did what any security-conscious developer would do and attempted to validate the MD5 checksums against what was posted by Adobe on the download page. Only 1 of the 5 binary checksums matched what was posted (i.e. the one for the lockdown guide). I noticed that there was a little note at the top of the page that said that the downloads were recently refreshed. It said "Revision history-7/14 - Refreshed add-on installers for 2016 and 2018". Therefore, I suspect that the checksums were missed in that refresh. Also, the most important download, the CF2018 server software, did not have a checksum listed ... unlike most of the other stuff. I contacted Adobe support and after a bit of discussion, they asked me to alert the forum about this. My company needs the latest checksums to verify the downloads before we install. I humby request somebody at Adobe to loo
Hello, we have license for CF 2016 Enterprise and like to upgrade. previous versions of CF allowed to upgrade from N-2 to N; does it still hold true? i am trying to decide if we need to purchase 2018 now or just wait for the new version release and spend the money there. Thanks for the help.
Every couple of weeks the ColdFusion Launcher Application will go up and max out the CPU on the server. Site will then begin to timeout. Restarting the ColdFusion server services is required to resolve the issue. The is happening on two separate web servers. Both are running CF 2016 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
HI Guys, Wondering if anyone else is experience stability issues after upgrading to CD2018 Update 10? We host in the cloud a single server CF2018. It was on Update 2 and rock solid. After updating to update 4, then update 10 over a 2 week period, we have lost stability in the system. The server is now requiring a reboot every 3-10 days. Thinking it was a memory issues, we have 16 GB on our VM, so we upgraded the heap size to 8192 (since it was always maxing at 2048). No help. When the system becomes unrepsonsive for our app, the CPU looks as though it is doing work still (not locked, but fluctuating between 1 and 30%). The Administrator console is typically unavailable. Today, for hte first time, the CFIDE administration page showed a CF error dump. Environment:Windows server 2012R2 fully patched (15 GB, 4 vCPU). HDD has plenty of resources. IIS serves the public.Server DetailsServer ProductColdFusionVersion2018,0,

Hello, I recently installed Update 14 on a COld Fusion 2016 installation ( Windows 2012R2 ) and now the server will not start up. The server.log log is stating the following Error","Thread-19","09/16/20","09:21:46","","Connect to 127.0.0.1:8989 [/127.0.0.1] failed: Connection refused: connect http://127.0.0.1:8989/PDFgServlet/" Can anyone assist? I had to uninstall update 14 to get COld Fusion to work again.
After applying Update 3 to CF2018, the Server Settings page takes like 2 minutes before it loads. All other pages load fine. We have restarted all services and still issue persists. Has anyone else run into this issue? Running CF2018 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.2 & Websphere App Server ND 9.0.0.10
Hi all, I am performing a new install on new server (Windows Server 2016). Everything is fine and testing our apps are going well with on exception when trying to call a SOAP WS on the same server. My version of Coldfusion is: 2018.0.09.318650, I have not updated to fixpack 10 yet as I want to resolve this issue first if possible. My testers last week said everything was fine but when I performed a 2nd round of testing this week I came across this error I show below. When calling my filename.cfc?wsdl , which currently works fine on CF9 on the current prod server (this new server is the replacement) .I know the 404 error is not saying that the WSDL does not exist because I can see the file and when I go directly to the file in the browser on the server it gives me the xml; however, the xml is not giving me what I expected. I also added the path to the webservice in the CFADMIN but still same issue. Not sure what issue is or if it has anything to do with "axis2.xml" file location. I
Hello... I am having issues with logging into the CFIDE Admin after a clean installation.I have developed puppet scripts to perform clean installations of apache and coldfusion (silently). The installations and execution of wsconfig go well, however there is an "invalid password" error occuring when attempting to login to the admin (and yes the password I am using is correct as specified in the installer.profile file). Has anyone run into this issue?
Hello Team, After upgrading to Coldfusion 2018 Update 9 , I am getting the below error "Information","ajp-nio-8018-exec-2","07/31/20","17:34:03","DEVTRUNK","ERROR ~~~ T1 System ERROR during execution of MasterDataQueueCheck.cfm: - Application-Instead, we have introduced a more comprehensive monitoring suite, called Performance Monitoring Toolset.-We have removed Server Monitor in ColdFusion (2018 release). We used the Server Monitor in Coldfusion 2016 to the list of All Active Threads. var objMonitor = createobject("component","cfide.adminapi.servermonitoring");var arrThreads = objMonitor.getAllActiveCFThreads(); I know this is deprecated now and we are supposed to use the Performance Monitoring Toolset, but I cannot find any code for this to use it programmatically in Coldfsuion. Can someone shed some light as to how are we suppose
(I hope the only answer to this problem will not be a virus and the need to re-build my PC!)Unable to access CF as localhost (both a website I wrote which had been working fine and http://localhost:8500/cfide/administrator), I checked out the Start Menu and sure enough, CF was being instructed to load a boot time. So I uninstalled CF8 and tried to install CF9, un-checking the parts about searching capabilities (Verity, etc.). I believe it claimed to install okay, but then my virus software, AVG, claimed that a CF program was... *malware*! I didn't have the common sense to write down the full pathname, but JRUN was somewhere in that pathname. So I completely uninstalled my Java, and reinstalled the latest version of Java from the java.com website. (In the interim, Firefox told me its new version was incompatible with the installed version of Flash Player and I better update that, attempted to do so, and on the first attempt, was told that "the download did not pass the integrity check",
Hello, We have a Cold Fusion application running on Windows 2016/ using IIS , this application uses database users to login to the front-end. Roles are then granted directly through code to these database users. Its an old legacy application, we would like to change the method of logging in to use Windows Authentication and not a database users, how can this be done ? If we do this do we need to change a lot of code and how to grant roles once the users logins. Actually the system should directly let a user in since they are on the Intranet using Windows authentication. Any suggestions ?
On CF2016, when using SerializeJSON() to serialize a struct, string values like "true" would get converted to booleans in the JSON. While this could be considered a bug, serializeJSON() has always worked like this, and our code base (client side) is expecting the boolean value when deserializing the strings. Is there any way to enable the old behavoir for the entire app / server on CF 2018? <cfset x = {}> <cfset x.normal = true> <cfset x.normalStr = 'true'> // serialize and dump <cfdump var="#serializeJSON(x)#"> // on CF2016, we get a boolean value for normalStr {"NORMALSTR":true,"NORMAL":true} // on CF2018, the data type is preserved {"NORMALSTR":"true","NORMAL":true} I know I can set the metadata to preserve data types, but my code base is to large to find all the various nested structs and keys that would need to have meta data description. I'm looking for a way to make CF2018 serializeJSON() work like it did on 2016.
Currently, I am Using ColdFusion 2018, and trying to add a progress bar on an API call. So I created a cfc function to fetch this API details. For this I will call a "getStatus()" function through bind params. And able to load the cfprogress bar successfully. The problem is that I need to pass an en extra parameter to this getstatus function . Is it possible? Please see the code I used to load cfprogressbar <!DOCTYPE html><html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /><title>Untitled Document</title></head><script type="text/javascript">function startProgress() {ColdFusion.ProgressBar.start("mydataProgressbar");};function onfinish() {alert("Done");};</script><body><cfif IsDefined("Session.STATUS")><cfscript>StructDelete(Session,"STATUS");</cfscript></cfif><cfset sjsondata = '{"name":"Jibin","id":"1234"}'><!--- For code simplicity, for
Here's a unique one. My only SQL statement on this page is:<cfquery datasource="#session.mix#" > Update Status SET AuthToken = '#Results.Auth_Token#', AuthTokenExpire = #AuthExpire# Where FID = '#key.FID#' </cfquery>When I execute it I get:[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid column name 'NorthStatus'. The variable NorthStatus doesn't appear anywhere in the code for this page. I've RDP to the server and checked the code there too. It doesn't appear in the SQL table. It's a column that was long ago deleted from the table. If I update the SQL table and add a column NorthStatus the page runs fine and nothing ever changes in the column NorthStatus. Yes, it's a workaround but it makes zero sense. I've rebooted both the SQL server and CF server just for kicks. Anybody got a clue? Gary
ColdFusion 2018 Hope someone can help me figure out why GENERATEDKEY is not returning with the following query? <cfset dte = CreateDateTime(Year(Now()), Month(Now()), Day(Now()), hrs, mins, secs)> <cfquery name="A" datasource="#dns#" result="A">INSERT INTO Table (CustID,X1,X2,X3,SessionID)VALUES(#session.ID#,#X1#,#X2#,#X3#,'#session.sID#')</cfquery><cfset session.recno=#A.generatedkey#><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">document.location.href='file.cfm'</script> The error that is returning is: Error Occurred While Processing RequestElement GENERATEDKEY is undefined in A. I have tried a lot of things including updating the JDBC driver. This used to work on an older version of CF.Thanks.
When I login to CF 2018 admin console and this shows up... The close button is not working, neither search nor close it. Restart WebLogic server and reopen console both are not helpful. How to fix this? I never have this issue using CF console before this.
I'm trying to use cfflush on a page that takes several minutes to complete. I'm doing something wrong because I still get a blank page for a few minutes then all at once I get the results. I've tried the example in the online docs and I'm not sure what I am doing differently. Here's an example of my code. cfflush interval = 5> <cfset count = 0> <cfquery name="c" datasource="blahblah"> Select CustomerID From Customer Where Customer like 'blah' Order by CustomerID DESC </cfquery> <cfoutput query="c"> <cfquery name="s" datasource="blahblah"> Select blah From Unit Where CustomerID = c.customerID </cfquery> <cfif s.recordcount NEQ 0> <cfset count = count +1 /> #s.blah#<br> <cfinclude template="/Connectback/CBChannelAPlaySchedule.cfm"> <a few more cfincludes> </cfif> </cfoutput> <cfoutput>#count#</cfoutput> Thanks,Gary
I am relatively new to working with JSON. I've had success with a few projects reusing the same code. On this particular one, the JSON data is returned differently and I could use some assistance on my deserialize code. This what I've been using:<cfset requestBody = toString( getHttpRequestData().content ) /> <cfset results = deserializeJSON( requestBody )>This is what I get back when I dump the reply: I assume my toString is looking at the wrong location for the response since the requestBody is empty.Appreciate any help! Thanks,Gary
