Hi,I am currently running CF 2018 update 2, Build Number:2018,0,02,313961. I would like to update it to CF 2018 update 9. Can I install CF 2018 update 9 directlly or do I need to update first to 3 then 4,5,6,7,8,9.Thanks. 

Hello, all, I've rarely used the 'result' attribute in a CFQUERY.  But I did some looking around, and on the support page for CFQUERY, looking at what is returned I see: resultName.ROWID: Oracle only. The ID of an inserted row. This is not the primary key of the row, although you can retrieve rows based on this ID. ... resultName.GENERATEDKEY: Supports all databases. The ID of an inserted row.  With ROWID, am I to understand that it returns an ID that is _not_ the auto generated key from the database (assuming that the primary key is default uuid/guid), but can be used to get the auto generated key? And with GENERATEDKEY, is this the auto generated key?  Or is it like ROWID? V/r, ^ _ ^

Hello, all, We had a lead developer, here, who used CFB to generate CFCs for the database tables of a project, and actually used them.  But there has been a change to the way part of this app is going to work, and it involves editing this Celtic-knot cluster to fix.  Basically we are switching from using an old ID to a new ID for authentication, processing, accessing, etc. I thought that I could just remove references in code to the old ID and add the new ID, but without even testing it, I suspect I'm going down the wrong path.  Any insight into how I can get this accomplished would be greatly appreciated. Basically, I don't know/understand how all of the {tablename}Dao, {tablename}Gateway, and others interact.  Please advise. V/r, ^ _ ^

I have enabled Apache support on ColdFusion 2018. I can render http://127.0.0.1:8750/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm using the built in webserver, but when I try from Apache http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm I get an error that the page is not found on the server. I have /CFIDE/* = cfusion enabled in the uriworkermap.properties file. I also tried enabling a virtual host Alias in the  mod_jk_vhost.conf to point to the location of the administrator page. Neither works. How would I go about accessing the administrator page from Apache? Is this possible?

Hi, I am trying to export barcodes to an excel sheet using SpreadsheetAddRow.  Being that barcodes are strings of numbers, the SpreadsheetAddRow seems to automatically interpret the string as a number.. e.g., Barcode = 0194112066037In excel it gets returned as 1.94112E+11 (as datatype General) Using SpreadsheetFormatCell(objSheet,{dataformat=0},RowNumber,CellNumberIn excel it gets returned as 194112066037 (without the '0' preceding the string) (as datatype Number). Using SpreadsheetFormatCell(objSheet,{dataformat="text"},RowNumber,CellNumberIn excel it again gets returned as 1.94112E+11 (as datatype Text). It seems that Excel shouldn't alter any value in a datatype text field.  It's very strange. Hello, all, Just a quick question about ListMap.  According to the Adobe Help page, ListMap "Iterates over every entry of the list and calls the closure function to work on the item of the list." I'm curious, though, if break will break out of the iteration. If ListMap is just a shortcut to a loop, then break would break out of that loop.  But if ListMap is something else, then maybe break won't work? Just curious. V/r, ^ _ ^

Hi,The perl script runs fine from the command line but when I execute the same perl script using the coldfusion cfexecute it fails to run. It cannot find the methods/functions used in the perl script like SelectAllEditableRanges, Bookmarks, InsertAfter. The script fails whereever this functions are called in the perl script. How do I run the perl script using cfexecute. Thanks.

We got the SOAP WSDL File for PDF Assembling/Bookmark/Commenting and we are trying to consume the web service from SAP ABAP.Details:When calling the Invoke Method of the PDF Assembler, system is giving Conversion Error.The PDF Contents which are attached in the application are passed to the Invoke Method in XSTRING format. Please help on this, if anyone worked on calling the PDF Assembler web services from SAP.

When i output a google map online, my map markers from cfmaps only outputs a maximum of 10 or 11 markers of the 31 persons of whom is have addresses for. My company is looking at ways to log and trace our apps which range from Coldfusion, react, and node js applications. We want to log when pages are spent up to actions the end-user performed to errors.My question what are some of the solutions that are a standard way across the board to handle application logging?

I am running on linux using Apache httpd-2.4.41, with the latest JDK and Coldfusion 2016.  Everything worked great through update 13.  However, after applying update 14 and after doing the wsconfig -upgrade, I now have an issue where when a user attempts to connect to a page or directory that does not exist, it displays a 403 error.  In addition, I noticed that my .htaccess rules seem to now be completely ignored.When I roll back to version 13, everything works normal again. Has anyone else experienced or am I the only lucky one that is dealing with this.  

Hi Team,We have coldfusion enterprise license running in one server. We are planning to migrate to another server. But during the transition time we want to run coldfusion in both servers and shutdown the old one as soon as new server is stable. Hi,I am trying to generate an excel report using ColdFusion 2018 and in the excel file there is a column for email id.  Instead of showing email id, it shows "[email protected]" as hyperlinked text. And if i click on the text is says "Cannot open the specified file".  Is there a setting where i can see the actual email id.  This is happening only in coldfusion 2018, i was not facing this in earlier version.  If i generate a web report (Showing html report in table on the screen) using ColdFusion 2018, it works fine.   I presume this can be resolved by some security setting and not through code as code is the same for older versions. Please find the attached screenshot, coldfusion code to generate the excel (removed unncessary code and kept only the necessary sections), excel spreadsheet generated. Could someone help me with this.  I have been searching for the answer in internet and i couldn't find a single thread for this. regards

Hi all. I'm a long tme CF coder, but have never used Fusebox. Now I have a new codebase to maintain that uses Fusebox, and I'm in need of getting up to speed quickly on it. Does anyone know how to tell which version of Fusebox my application is using, so I can get some books for the right version ordered and on the way while I dig in? I see that numerous files in the application begin with fbx_fusebox30... Does that necessarily designate Fusebox 3.0? Thanks!

Hi,We have received a report from our security scanner contractor (SSC) who is testing our application for vulnerabilities with new warning as per subject "Insufficient session expiration". The user logged on to application concurrently two times with the same user credentials. Both sessions are using Chrome and, one of the session is Incognito window.  Then, after changing password in one of the sessions (non incognito), the application logged the user out and redirected to login page.The security requiremets as per SSC, all the sessions opened for the user must be logged out.Is it possible? We are using CF2016 on Windows Server 2008 R2.CF is configured to use J2EE session.I tried different methods to invalidate/delete the session and, nothing seem to work for both sessions. I'm hoping someone could shed some light. We're testing Redis as session storage. It works just fine, but we're running into an issue where the keys are not properly expired by Redis - they basically just fill up the store. I think the problem is that the keys don't have an expiration?  Greatly appreciate any insights. We're on CF2016, SP7.
