First, let me say that I know how to calibrate! I successfully calibrated my 10-year-old NEC for years, and won numerous awards locally including a best of show that had over 600 entries. I am using a PC.I purchased this Eizo CS2420 on March 13, 2019, and received it on March 15, 2015. This unit came with Eizo’s version of the Spyder 5. (I used a Spyder 3 on my NEC.) This Eizo is being used on a PC, Windows 10.I cannot get this unit calibrated to get acceptable prints! My biggest fault was not returning it…shame on me!!! Eizo kept insisting that there was nothing wrong with the monitor, calibration device, and software. If anyone out there has a miracle cure for me and this Eizo monitor, don’t be afraid to contact me: Julius Titak.Note: I have tried just about everything out there in an effort to resolve this issue! What I’ve learned is that every monitor is different. Some people say that Contrast Ratio is the key…maybe for some monitors, but not all. Once Contrast Ratio is really unde
Hi...I have a long standing issue with Illustrator colour being dull which is more obvious when veiwing and printing the same image in photoshop. This is irrespective of files being CMYK or RGB. I have manually checked that all my colour settings are the same but this has made no difference. I have tried synchronising the settings through Bridge which tells me all my CC applications are synchronised. However I have noticed that apart from not fixing the problem Illustrator says that my CC applications settings are not synchronised. What's more, if I manually set the settings to the saved profile for Photoshop the Color Magement Policies box for CMYK sets to Preserve Numbers rather than preserve Embedded profiles, which is what it should be.I am using Illustrator 2020 and Photoshop 2020 and working on a macbook pro if that makes a difference.Any suggetions would be hugely gratefully received as its driving me mad.ThanksNeil
When I insert a photo to discover its color in the Adobe color circle https://color.adobe.com/es/create/color-wheel, the CMYK settings provided do not match the color I see in the photo on my screen. Why is this happening and what color to trust?
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but I am having an issue with getting the exact colors for my business branding that I see in Acrobat Pro DC to print. When the correct colors I see in the pdf are printed, the colors become significantly dull. I do not believe this is an issue with my HP Laser Jet and I've tried exploring information on Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors, but I am not certain if this is the right route and the difference among the various Conversion Profiles. Thank you!
I'm Graphic design student and I have a qeustion for the color management. When I use spot color in illustrator, how can I bring it into InDesign? InDesign color panel doesn't support spot color that I was looking for and when do we need to use process and spot colors at the same time?
Hi, I am making a smudge painting in photoshop and after exporting it into the jpeg or png then it's showing different background color on my mobile. On the laptop, the background color is the same but not mobile. And I am using an RGB color scheme, if anyone knows how to fix this then please let me know. Thank You!
I use my MacBook Air and Photoshop to edit my photos. Recently I got an IPad Pro 12.9" and I started using sidecar to drag photoshop into my iPad and edit my photos there using the applePencil . The problem is the colors don't match. I have to edit the photo on the iPad really warm and saturated to look "normal" on my MacBook once I save it there. Tru Tone and night shift both turned off on my iPad and laptop. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
I know there are multiple points of color mangement on the Mac, from True Tone and Night Shift to apps with individual profiles. Adjusting any one of these settings can have a dramatic effect on what the designer is seeing vs. the client. Is there an ultimate setup for digital (web, social, broadcast) and print work? 1) I'm assuming every designer turns OFF both True Tone and Night Shift in their preferences? The problem is there is also a sliding scale within the Night Shift prefs for "Color Temperature". I've got mine set more towards "less warm" but I'm curious what others have it set too. 2) There is also a "Display Profile" setting on the Mac. Mine is set to the default iMac setting but I'm wondering if I should adjust that as well. 3) Each app also has it's own color profile settings independent of the Mac's display and those settings might be different for digital vs print:For digital, I usually set my Color Settings to sRGB IEC61966-2.1For print, I woul
I've seen this problem posted here before, but I've tried the suggested solutions of deleting Photoshop and redownloading it, and installing the sRGB IEC61966.2.1 colour space and setting it as default for my monitor, but no luck. I keep getting the "Could not initalize Photoshop because the ICC profile is invalid" error. I'm using a Surface Laptop 3. I can't get a monitor calibrator as I can't seem to find any locally at a reasonable price from a reputable reseller, and I can't wait around for international shipping because I need Photoshop for uni work. Any ideas?
Before, any image I import into a software or shape I create in a software looked relatively the same across all Adobe software. Starting last week, software that defaulted to CMYK (Illustrator, InDesign) started looking darker and duller than RGB default software and the Windows 10 image viewer. I assumed this was because they were in CMYK documents, but even when creating a document in RGB for Illustrator or InDesign, the colors would be washed out. Now, as of this morning, all my Adobe software are displaying different colors. Here is a JPG of a blue color: Here's the same JPG imported into InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects: I checked the color settings in Adobe Bridge, and they're allegedly all syncrhonized:Changing to Monitor Color and hitting Apply doesn't seem to change anything. What I want is for all the software to display the same color, preferably in RGB since I work in web and not print.
Check out this photo, the jersey on the Buffalo player appears to me to be purple on my Windows 10 computer. This holds in every browser I have (Firefox, IE, Edge, Opera). And because of this, I just calibrated my monitor with my SpyderX, and its still purple. On my Android tablet in Firefox, it's dead nuts blue, not even a hint of purple. On my Android phone, it's purple. How does it look on your screen(s)? It's supposed to be blue. What is going on? Can this be fixed?
Hello,I have a problem with the displayed colors at my monitors. After changing tte hard disk, all cs-apps displayed the colors not correctly. In other programms, for example InfranView, the color respresentation is better. You can see this at the sreenshot from my monitor. I have the test-form from the datei in printed version, too.In cs I have all colormanagement-settings as before I swapped the hard drive. What do I have to do now? Thanks you for your answers.Birgit
I need to create several camera profiles where the swatches in a Colorchecker match exact values from a different and non standard source. Is there a way to type specific RGB values into a receipe in DNG Profile Editor such that I can, effectively, make the output source agnostic? So far all I have found is being able to use the HSL slider under any picker value but that isn't giving me the results I need and is taking a long time.
There are no formula for ICC profiles. Each profile contains up to six lookup tables, entirely specific to the profile (and rendering intent). They are usually derived from measurements with colour reading equipment and don't follow any other rules.

Background: The latest Pantone colours e.g. Pantone 3564C are not available using the standard Pantone Books available within Adobe CC programs. Other threads address this issue and it's apparently due to complicated agreements between Adobe and Pantone. The solution to this is to download the "Pantone Connect" extension. However, ... The new problem:Pantone colours selected through the "Pantone Connect" extension cannot be saved as Pantone colours within Adobe CC Libraries. When saved they are converted to HEX values and the reference to Pantone lost. As an agency that recently moved all brand elements such as logos and pallets to Adobe CC and now needing to use a new Pantone colour within Adobe CC programs we now have to manually remember these differences. Solution please Adobe?
I'm putting together a style guide and i want to show the logo in RGB and CMYK. i've created each in illustrator as an RGB file and a CMYK file. when i import them into indesign they look the same (like the cmyk). is there a way to get indesign to display the RGB file as it is? i have turned Proof Colors off and even customized the proof to Display and checked Preserve RGB numbers and nothing seems to make a difference. using creative suite 2020 and OS 10.13.6 (high sierra) than you!
I have a student who has run into a strange anomaly in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop CC 2020 in Mac Osx (all are current versions). I'm posting for him because he is not familiar enough with the way ICC profiles are handled OSX or Adobe apps to word this question properly. The student added a new paper profile to ../Library/Colorsync/Profiles/ but it is not showing up in Lightroom, Photoshop or the Canon Print application that came with his Canon Imageprograf 2100.In fact, the list of available profiles that appears when you select Other from the profile drop-down menu in Print or Softproof, does not match the list of profiles in the Colorsync folder. He had previously deleted some profiles for a printer he no longer owns but they still show up in Lightroom's list (as well as the other apps). We have restarted all the relevant applications and restarted the computer. No resolution. We also downloaded the profile again using a different browser to rule out profile corruption
Hi,I'm looking for a possibility to change the color of option- or check-boxes. Thankfull for every answerFriedhelm
I've been asked to do a book design. The print run is will bee 500-1000 copies, so it will going to go to a short run press. It has color graphics and photos. The client doesn't want bright white paper - he's asking for "off white or cream". How do I do color management in this case? I've done books in 4 color before, using the GRACoL print condition and was delighted with how well the final product matched my expectations. But in those cases we used bright white, recommended by the printing company because it matched the GRACoL profile. I'm using CC on a Mac, mostly InDesign and Illustrator, with some Photoshop.
Here is my problem: (read the PDF file pages as it descibes the issue) Also all work was done on one machine. Hi, I have been using photoshop for many years and have recently had to reinstall everything. I have reinstalled Creative Cloud as well as Photoshop. As it loads it gets hung up on 'Building color Conversion Tables...' and then closes throwing up the error message 'Could not initialze Photoshop because the ICC profile is invalid'. I have searched through these forums and various other places to find a solution and I have tried everything I have found to sadly to no fix. I have tried; changing my 'Colour Management' profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1. holding down Ctrl + Alt + Shift, starting Photoshop and deleting the Adobe Photoshop Settings File when prompted. uninstalling and deleting every part of Photoshop from my drives. All to no fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I truely love photoshop and use this product often. If anyone requires some details on my set up I am running Windows 10 Home 64bit. Monitor DELL S2240L and Acer PNP19. {Thread
