Digital Editions

Hi! I've used Adobe Digital Editions for loaning e-books for a couple years now during my university studies and it has usually worked fine. Recently my loans have been expiring almost immediately as I've downloaded them. That didn't happen before. I usually loan the books from EBSCO database as a pdf file and select the option to loan them for 3 days. The downloaded file has a file extension ".acsm". I'm able to open and read the book for that period as long as I don't close the book in ADE. If I close the book the loan expires in under 15 minutes. I tried to update to the newest version of ADE, but it didn't seem to help. I'm running Adobe Digital Editions on Macbook Air (13-inch, 2017) and macOS High Sierra v. 10.13.6. Regards,Tino

I created Adobe ID, downloaded ADE 4.5 and wanted manually authorize my computer but in the Help the Authorizing and Deauthorizing function is not active ... what can I do? Thanks for your help

J'ai la version 4.5 car j'ai le système caterina et ce système ne prends pas la version 3.0. J'essai d'annuler mon autorisation mais une fenêtre apparait disant impossibled'annuler l'autorisation veuillez réessayer plus tard. J'ai au moins essayé 20 fois. J'ai vérifié que  j'avais bien le bon mot de. passe.Si je branche ma liseuse à mon ordinateur si je clique sur la petite. roue à coté de Kobo toutes les inscriptions sont grises et non noires.Je ne sais pplus quoi faireQuelqu'un peu m'aider svp

Two questions about this:1) I have found instructions that say I need to authorize my computer to create an Adobe ID.In Adobe Digital Editions, the "Authorize Computer" and other menu items related to authorization are all greyed out and do nothing.2) When I tried to use the live-chat help option on the Adobe site, the agent there (presumably a real person) told me that ADE was a discontinued legacy product. Was this a language-barrier misunderstanding or is ADE actually obsolete?  If so, what *should* I be using

I have ADE 4.5.10.186048 and I cannot open some old e-books (pdf's) downloaded on my older computers (no longer available) from various sites with older versions of ADE. The sites no longer exist and the message displayed by ADE is "Unable to add document Errors were encountered in this document". I can neither access the documents with Acrobat 2021.001.20150 as I receive the following message: "This document requires digital rights management (DRM) features supported by Adobe Digital Editions. Would you like to open it in Adobe Digital Editions now?". However, when I try to do that, I receive the ADE error message mentioned above.Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello there"Error Getting License Server Communication problem E_GOOGLE__DEVİCE_LIMIT_REACHED" error message. I cannot read Pdf files I purchased. Adobe Digital Editions always gives the same error in versions 2.00, 3.00 and 4.50. I can't read the books I bought Google books from Adobe Digital Editions. Please help. I can solve it. Hello. I'm having problem turning pages in the Adobe digital editions (ver. 4.5.11.187212) on Windows 10. If the document is in the zoomed mode, pressing PgDn/Pgup leads to scrolling through the page, i.e. one page is skipped. How can I fix this problem? 

So, I'm making a test EPUB using Sigil and I just put some text to experiment with the results...I just put some text (divided by <span> tags, becuase I'm trying to use Media Overlays) and I don't understand why in ADE, for some reason, I have a wierd right margin that doesn't show in Sigil... Why does this happen? I'm assuming it's a problem with my CSS code but I just don't know where... Hi, I'd really appreciate if someone could help me download ebooks from the library to my ADE. Since getting a new computer, it¨s no longer working. No ebooks show up and I don't understand what's wrong since it worked so well on my old computer.

Ich habe ein Problem nach dem Start von ADE 4.5: ADE 4.5 öffnet beim Starten ein leeres Fenster. Beim "Hinzufügen zur Bibliothek" eines *.acsm e-Book erscheint ein Fenster mit "...wird erfüllt" und grünem Arbeitsbalken, aber das Buch wird nicht angezeigt.ADE 4.5 wurde deinstalliert und neu installiert in Win10 Pro 20H2 Build 19042.928.Gibt es einen Hinweis oder eine Idee?

Today my Adobe Digital Edition software not starta. I use Wondows 10 Home 20H2.Have restart PC and also uninstall and install software again. But Adobe Digital Edition not start. 

Is it possible to read files protected with ADE on an Android phone? My local library has an ebook service, but they're all ADE ePub or PDF. I'd really like to borrow them. I have fbreader, but it won't touch Adobe's drm, obviously.Suggestions?

I bought an ebook in pdf format with DRM protection and when trying to open the .acsm file I get the following error: Can not be downloadedFailed to get the license. Communication problem with the license server:E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN Is the problem mine for doing a wrong procedure or should I file a claim with the provider who sold me the book? Any help is welcome!

Just bought a Macbook with operating system 11 so had to download digital editions 4.5 as 3.0 won't work with newer operating system. After getting many error messages, I found information on this forum to finally get books to download from public library to ADE 4.5.  I can download, open and read them on the computer.  However, I am unable to download books from ADE on computer to Kobo.  The books are listed on ADE as present on the Kobo reader, but when I disconnect the reader from the computer and try to open them on my Kobo, the cover of the book is black and I get an error message that e reader is not authorized to open this book.  I have erased devise authorization and reauthorized many times and each time it states the reader is authorized. I have done a factory reset on the Kobo.  I have also deleted and reinstalled the ADE 4.5 software many times.  I have erased computer authorization and reauthorized.   Any help are suggestions would be

I've borrowed a Library book from Derbyshire, and transferred it to my laptop via Adobe Digital Editions. I can't find a way to delete/return the book through Adobe.  Can anyone help with this please.

I have downloaded a book into Adobe digital Editions and expected to be able to use the touch screen on my MS Surface Pro 2 to scroll through the book by simply swiping a finger up and down the screen as I do in every other program that i've used.  However it just dosen't happen.  Is it indeed possible?  Any suggestions?

I am looking to use Adobe Digital Editions to allow me to borrow an eBook from Kingston library.The problem is when opening the BorrowBox file, I open the downloaded file labelled: theURLLink.ACSM file which opens in Adobe Digital edition 4.5.11.187303 and then begins to downlod the ebook content then displays the message E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN. Is there any way to get Adobe Digital Editions to be able to open eBooks on my Windows 10 PC, Windows Defender is installed.E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN , the library technical support tried to help, but they haven't been able to help me and have now requested Adobe support to assist.

Hi, I just bought this book online from a well known Swedish retailer and I keep getting this error message. I have no idea what to do. It feels like I've tried everything but to no success. I cannot find any post that actually solves this issue. Anyone?

Windows 8 se actualizó y tuve que cambiar el Adobe Digital Editions el cual no me deja actualizar el equipo siéndome imposible leer mis ebooks, cambié incluso clave porque con la que tenía quedaba eternamente esperando la actualización.
