Digital Editions

ADE 4.5 appeared to get corrupted, stopped properly showing books or allowing downloads from the public library. I have a great many books in the ADE library. Following some advice here, I renamed the "My Digital Editions" folder, and new books are downloaded and show up in the newly created MDE folder. I still have all of the old books in the renamed folder, but I can see no way of getting them into the non-corrupted folder. Copying into the new folder doesn't work.

Hello! I have some books for college downloaded on my Mac laptop that i would also like to download on my desktop. however, i keep getting a "Unable to download. Error getting License. Lincense server communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" message

I bought a book with DRM wich is being administrated, syncronized, by Adobe, but now the book won't open on iOS. What is the reason for this problem? I asked Adobe but there is no answer for about 2 montsh now.

Sur la version Adobe digital editions3.0 il m'est impossible d'ouvrir un fichier epub car les message suivant apparait à chaque fois :"Le programme d'installation a detecté une version existante d'adobe digital editions. Désirez-vous réparer l'installation existante ?Je répare à chaque fois et ça ne fonctionne jamais. Que dois-je faire ? PS: j'ai essayé en désintallant puis en réinstallant , autoriser/désautoriser, rien ne fonctionne. Avez-vous une solution ? 🙂Merci,Solenn H

I recently bought a new Windows 10 laptop. I have downloaded digital editions and renamed the file, as suggested in the forum. I am using the same Adobe login as on the old laptop. The books downloaded to DE over several years are not listed when I open DEon the new laptop. Do I have to manually copy them over and if so, how?  I do not want to delete DE on the old laptop as I will still use it.  It is very frustrating. Please help

Adobe Digital Editions worked with windows 10 a few days ago but now it won't even launch.  I ran the compatibility troubleshooter and it says it is not compatible.  Has anyone found a way to make it work?  I had downloaded 2 purchased books prior to ADE not working and although ADE works on an old computer I have running windows 7, I cannot download the files again as ADE says they have been fulfilled by another user even though I am sure the Adobe ID I used was the same.

Why am I unable to log in across multiple devices with the same account. How do I view the same document across multiple devices then? I thought that the purpose of ADE was to be able to view the same ebook across different devices. Please help me, I'm really lost. Also, I have already tried erasing authorization on my first device but it would show me the same result. 

I purchased an eBook from Broadview Press. I want to read that eBook on Adobe Digital Editions. However, whenever I attempt to do so, Adobe Digital Editions requests a Vendor ID. My login, which is correct, does not work.Specifically, the "error" I get is: Then when I click "Continue"... I have an Adobe account, but logging in just results in this error:"The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."Which makes sense, because I'm not a vendor.What I don't understand is that I have opened, viewed, and read this book before. Many times. It's just suddenly, today, it doesn't work.I have tried:Contacting Support. They sent me here.Unauthorizing and re-authorizing my ADE.I'm stuck. Help, please.  

I cannot download (fulfill) books from the Internet Archive library. Over Chrome it sends me a 404 message (look at picture). Over Firefox (my default) no response at all. I already erased my cookies, cache, and temp files. Please, help...

Hi everyone! I legally bought two digital textbooks and, at first, I didn't know how to use adobe digital editions so I chose to authorize the activation without an id. But now it prevents me from accessing the textbooks on my iPad. Can I erase the current activation (which is without an id) and still be possible to access my textbooks after I log in with my own id later?Thank you so much.

Je n'ai pas pleins d'adresses courriels.. Comment je peux faire pour enlever une autorisation sur un ordinateur que je n'ai plus?Merci!

Hello, I hae recently bought a book from ISACA that uses Adobe authorization and recommendation to use Adobe digital edition on windows. The application is very slow- at times it takes more than a minuite to change pages!! appreciate if anyone can help! 

Hello Team,I am new to use DE. Recently installed version 4.5.10 in my Dell Laptop (Lattitude series), and whenever, I try to open the e-book File extension 'EPUB'), the application hangs and throws message in few seconds as 'Not Responding'. I don't have any option other than closing the application. I was asked to get an id from adobe site and authorise using the ID, which I did, still problem persisting for both 4.5.10 as well as 4.5.11. I also tried uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling - nothing is helping. would appreciate if any one can help me to fix this issue

The ADE Library (on new iPad Mini) is in a continual Refresh mode. How do I make it stop?

I am attempting to access a University textbook on an android device, but have so far had zero success in accessing it. I have contacted IT at the University and they suggested it is something on Adobe's end. I have tried on two Android devices and receive the same error message: Unable to downlodError getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN I have authorized the account, uninstalled, reinstalled etc. to no avail. I am able to download the file, but the app won't open it.

Hello,I have a new computer for 6 months now and Adobe Digital Editions does not work on this computer. It freezes and does not open the books I wish to read. Everything worked beautifully on my old computer. To solve the problem, I followed some instructions which I found on the internet. Deauthorizing and authorizing the Adobe Digital Editions for my new computer did not help. I downloaded an older version of it. Still, that did not work. The software freezes and does not close. I cannot open the book(s) I have loaned. I would need it to read research books for my doctoral thesis, so I would be grateful for any help in solving this problem.

I’m getting an error message that says I’ve exceeded the number of machines I can authenticate. [Exact error code is E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS] The Adobe help page says the solution to this is to contact Adobe to have the activation count reset. But when I click on the contact link provided, the chat agent tells me to post my problem in the forum. I’ve explained several times that I’ve already found the official solution page and it directed me to them, but they insist I should post my problem here. I don’t see how this will help, but I’m doing as instructed and posting my problem here. Any help is appreciated. Online university is beginning on Tuesday and my textbook is available only as an eBook. I purchased the textbook eBook and it is only accessible via Digital Editions so I downloaded the app (as my university intructed) and authorized and downloaded my purchased textbook. When I click to open the textbook, the app crashes everytime making me unable to view my text. I've read that it is no longer an app that is iOS compatible but that seems odd considering it is in the app store and instructions were provided by my university to use the iOS app. I have the new iPad Pro if this helps with any troubleshooting. Thank you.  Additional info: I downloaded the software for windows on my boyfriends computer, and it is able to open but all the text is overlapping making it unreadable. 

Hello, I bought a .acsm ebook, then I connect with my computer on Adobe Digital Editions without Id, I was able to open it and was happy. Then I wanted to read it on my phone with an ebook reader that asked me to connect with an AdobeID so I did but then it told me that the product was already associated with another account. So I unauthorized my computer to let my phone read the file but it did not work. Now I can not read it from anywhere and I don't know what to do to link the ebook with my AdobeID.

J'essaie de l'annuler mais, évidemment, mon mot de passe ne fonctionne plus. Que faire pour que ma nouvelle adresse email soit enregistrée dans mon ADE ? Notez que j'ai déjà changé mon adresse email dans mon compte ADE, mais celle-ci ne semble pas suivre pour obtenir l'autorisation pour mon ordinateur.I have an ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS account. I can no longer retrieve volumes from my library. My e-reader then said to me "Your e-reader is not authorized to read this volume". When I click on the HELP icon of my ADE, I see that the authorization given to my computer refers to my old email address. I'm trying to cancel it, but obviously my password doesn't work anymore

hi, I have verified my adobe ID both on the program: Adobe digital edition, and on my pocketbook inkpad 3. Still when i contect the pocketbook with USB to the computer, and i launch the program, my device is not showing in the left corner as is should. This then of cource leads to the problem that i can not put any ebooks into my pocketbook.  I tried to use calibri, it's a great program BUT i can not use it for ebooks i have bought because they are DRM protectet, so i need this program to read my ebooks.I also get my ebooks into the program, and can read them from the compture, but what am i then going to do with the pocketbook.. so, Are there anybody that knows how (or have the same problem) make adobe digital edition to reconize my device?thanks for the answers!
