I am new to the software and was not aware that license file will stick indefinitely to your account and I accidentally took my friend's book license. How can I remove the license and let my friend have what he bought?

Hi there, since some days I am always getting the above error when trying to download ACSM files I regularly bought. I tried to deactivate my licence, delete the registry key and reactivate it but with no results.I am working with ADE 4.5.1 version on Windows 10, can anyone help me? Thanks and regards

Hi, first time I installed (digital editions) on Mac without autherziation, now i wanted to add login so I twice deleted & reinstalled it but everytime its installing withour autherization. I want to access my books from both my laptop & cell phone (apple)Thank you

The program was working great...able to connect and downloand to my Kobo Clara HD eReader...all of a suddent it stopped...so I deleted and re-downloaded...several times...now it won't even close off my screen unless I shift/contol/escape...nothing shows up in the library...all I have is a white screen with Adobe info on it and headers...can't get library or anything. Please help! Thanks

Hi, I purchased a pdf book & downloaded the digital edition on mac but did not made the id now i want to use the book on my cell phone but its not coming on cell phone (apple) Is there any way to add an account/id after installing it? please help!!!

Hello, My Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 was working last time I used it, but now it gives me an error when I try to download a borrowed e-book or return a borrowed item.  It says: "Unable to download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR"  or  "Unable to return. Error returning item. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR" I already tried to update the Adobe app and also my computer. I'm using MacBook Air and macOS Catalina 10.15.3. What should I do?

I use a Nook Glowlight and it needs Digital Editions 3.0 to move ebooks to the nook.  I installed macOS Catilina today and DE 3.0 will not open.  The message says it needs to be upgraded to 64-bit. Is there a 64-bit version of DE 3.0?

I have been using Adobe Digital Editions since 2014 to put books on my Kobo eReader. Today when I go to put the book on my eReader, I am getting an error message that my computer neeeds to be re-authorized. So I clicked on help but Authorize isn't lit up so I can choose it & I clicked authorization info and it says your computer is already authorized. What so I need to do to fix this so I can read my book? Tess

How do I authorise my new ereader with Adobe Digital Editions. When I go into ADE and to Authorise information it says computer already authorised.  also I tried to download ADE ver. 4.5 the error came back with "this installer requires adminstrative access - abort"HELP!!!

It is 2020 and it shouldn't be that difficult to have clear instructions that acutally work to deauthorize my MAC from ADE. The website chat hasn't been helpful at all, but I see I'm not alone in this situation. I've read all of the replies that relate to this issue, but of all the advice and steps you and I have taken, none have worked. I was hoping since most post are dated, I was searching for some new updates on the matter.Also, I'm having a hard time locating ADE 3.O to attempt to download that instead. Day 7 of turmoil and wasted hours.

I volunteer for a micropublisher that sells books online, including some ebooks. We use ADE and there is an issue that comes up that we'd like to try and resolve. When one of our customers gets a new computer and transfers ADE to it, they get locked out of ADE altogether. They have to de-authorize it and re-authorize it. If all goes well, that works, and then they can use their ebooks again. Sometimes, though, it doesn't work, and they have to uninstall ADE, and then re-install it, and download all their ebooks again, which can be a substantial undertaking.  Is this a known issue? Do people have suggestions on how to resolve/work with it?  

Hii friends, I purchased an ebook that requires to use on digital editions. However, the video clips from the ebook doesn't play on digital editions app. It worked before, but it stopped working after I redownloaded the app. Anybody know how I can solve this problem? Btw, I also tried to reinstall several times but still not working. 

we are at a loss.  My granddaughter borrowed a book from her college library using digital editions.  I am asuming using it as a source for a paper.  Can she link the book to him somehow?

Dear experts,when I connect my ereader (Pocketbook Touch Lux 3, i.e. model 626) via USB with my computer, ADE 4.5 (on a Mac) does not recognize my device and does not list it on the left top.When I try the same procedure with another eReader, i.e. a Tolino Vision, everything works fine and the Toline is being listet immediately as a new device.Do you know any solution?Thank you.Best regards.TanitaLiebe Experten,wenn ich meinen Pocktbook Touch Lux 3 eReader über USB mit dem Computer (iMac) verbinde, erkennt die ADE 4.5 software ihn nicht als Gerät.Wenn ich stattdessen das gleiche  mit einem Tolino Vision eReader mache, wird dieser sofort als Gerät erkannt und oben links von ADE aufgelistet.Falls jemand eine Lösung kennt - bitte ich um Hilfe und danke vielmals!LGTanita

I use a Mac computer. I'm trying to authorize my Digital Editions and I keep getting this error. I've tried many different troubleshooting methods but the error never goes away. I tried de-authorizing my computer and authorized again using my Adobe ID. I uninstalled and then re-installed DI many times, and using the previous versions. I also deleted the "activation.dat" file located in /Library/Application Support/ Adobe/ Digital Editions and nothing happened.I also uninstalled the program and downloaded it from a different browser. Still getting the same error. VERY frustrated here, someone please help

I hope if anyone could help with this issue! I have downloaded some ebook from Google Play Book and would like to put them in my e-reader.  However, during the process, I got the below error message.  Unable to download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED I have searched the related articles here but it seems no solutions to this issue.  I have even tried to contact Google Support Center for help (someone said they helped before) but I got a reply that I should contact Adobe instead.  Anyone could help please?  Many thanks!

I'm stuck in a roundabout. runnung on Windows 7 couldn't open ascm files on ADE, so I worked on erasing authorization, which didn't work o I followed troubleshooting for that. Still couldn't erase authorization, so I uninstalled ADE thinkng I'd be able to start anew after reinstalling, to no avail, it came back with same ID.Then I deleted my Adobe ID thinking that was the problem. So now, even if I wnated to create a new ID, my old ID is still on AED everytime I reinstall. HELP, I can't get anything onto my KOBO now.

Please sigh in with the authorized adobe ID and try again." Hey . I' m getting this error message on my Kobo reader - never had it before , and its only for one book in particular, which yes is from the library (toronto public library via Overdrive ebooks), but its absolutely not expired. i can read said book on my computer on digital editions, but not on the reader. I have done everything including authorizing deauthorizing on computer and kobo and resetting entire kobo back to 0 and back again and deleted all the books on it and deleted all the books on my computer and downloaded and reinstalled and deleted again and again and reset everything and signed in and out of everything and did everything and I guarantee my proper Adobe account is signed in and authorized on both devices.i I even tried getting digital editions

When I load ADE 4.5 it reloads books that are already in the library creating duplicates. If these are not immediately deleted from both the library and My Digital Editions they will reload next time the program is accessed causing still more duplicates. It is somewhat annoying to have to do this every time the program is accessed. At the moment it is reloading about 180 books which as far as I can tell were loaded from ACSM files. The ACSM files are no longer on my computer. Has anyone else had this problem and has any idea how to fix it?

The PDF files contain metadata which is handled by Adobe Digital Editions. Metadata is necessary because of the terms of the lending and copyright agreement.This program enforces Digital Rights Management (DRM) on the downloaded files, restricting the time period during which the ebook can be used, as well as the number of computers (Reviewbites) to which it can be transferred; there may also be restrictions on the number of pages that can be printed.

Hi, I installed Adobe Digital Editions (the current downlodable version) on a Macbook. I need to authorize an Adobe ID, but there is no Help/Authorize menu option in the window, so I cannot proceed. In fact there is no button whatsoever apart from those for adding items to the library. How can I solve this? I had no problem authorizing the same ID on Windows.
