Digital Editions

Can anyone categorically help please? I have the above ereader and had been using it to download library books from my UK library. However the library have now changed to using ADE, which I have downloaded, and created an account, all okay. I can download books to my laptop but when I try to drag or send to my ereader, they look like they have been sent/copied, but are not actually on the ereader. (I have checked htere is enough memory and there is plenty on the ereader!) I see from Adobes list of compatible devices that the PRS T1 is compatible, but cannot see the T2. Does this mean I cannot use ADE as the T2 is not compatible??? Please help!! Many thanks

Please help me here, when I open my downloaded book the adobe digital editions doesn't display the book.  

Hello,I had downloaded adobe digital editions years ago and then think I un-installed it at some point as I was not using it. I recently wanted to re-install it to allow me to read ebooks from my local library. I did so and attempted to open the ".acsm" file from an ebook I borrowed but received the error "E_ACT_NOT_READY". After searching the forums, I realized this is an issue with authorization so I attempted to de-authorize the software and received the message "Unable to erase authorization. Please try again after some time". I waited a day and tried again but the same error message. So I turned to the forums again and there was a recommendation to navigate to /Users/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and delete the activation.dat file. I tried to find this folder and revealed my hidden folders and got as far as "Adobe" in the navigation but there was no "Digital Editions" folder. I attempted to ask the chat but they did not even understand what I was saying. I'm h

I am unable to access my eBook bought from CIMA as it says the vendor account is not associated with the item I am opening.  i have reset my password for my adobe ID (email) but still not opening.  please synchronize my enterprise ID with my adobe ID to enable me access my eBook. thank you.

To whom it may concern, Consulting Proposal:Adobe has been trying to differentiate from other electronic book solutuons for quite a long time. I had been part of the original ground swell before ebooks even took off in 2005 as the developer of a small pdf viewing/ reading / studying software called ByteSize Systems. We ran into many roadblocks with textbook publishers resistant to the new format and as a result our software withered and died on the vine. It appears to me that Adobe is letting Digital Editions also wither on the vine. Here it is 2019 and the online reviews on the Google play store are pretty brutal.I don't know if Adobe seeks to maintain and develop the Digital Editions beyond what it has, but I would be available on a consulting basis to assist you turning the software around into a viable ereading platform, based off my research and experience with creating our own ereading solution.I feel if we had Adobe's resources back then or developed during a more ebook friendly

I began this day with ADE 17.2 and tried every proffered solution to no avail. The last suggestion was to update to ADE 3.0.The exact error message is:Unable to download. error getting license. license server communication problem: e_adept_document_type_unknownI have tried completely disabling the firewall (domain, public, private) and the problem persists. My original installation of ADE was on my Windows 10 laptop. I got a new computer (MacBook Pro) and installed ADE. I signed in an authorized the computer, only to find that I couldn't read the 6 books that I intended to sync. They all displayed on the Mac, but they had various errors. 3 of them said "W_ADEPT_CORE_LOAN_NOT_ON_RECORD," 2 of them said "E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED," and the last one said, "E_LIC_ALREADY_RETURNED."I got into a chat with a support agent to fix the issue, but they didn't really seem to know what they were doing. After reinstalling, the app wouldn't sign out. She sent me a link to this forum, but I couldn't get in. It said I had to verify my email, which is when I realized that the email I had created my Adobe account with no longer existed. I have recently downloaded bluefire reader on my iPad and when I try to download my ebooks from Kaplan Medical Prep, I receive an error message stating "this item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID." THE ACCOUNT WAS NOT! I also created another new Adobe ID and get the same error message. Can anyone help?

When I open an acsm file on android, I get this error and cannot download the corresponding epub. This is the only device currently activated for my adobe ID and I never was able to get this epub.How can I pass this error?Thank you.Best.M.

Hi, I have a problem with opening an e-book purchased from google play. Trouble occured "E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED". Yesterday I talked with a guy from Google and he said that I should contact Adobe. Can you help me with it? I heard that Adobe can reset my account.

I recently purchased a Google Book but I can't add it to Adobe Digital Editions. When I click "Add to Library," the following error message appears:"Unable to downloadError getting license: License Server Communication ProblemE_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED"I see that a number of people have already posted about this exact problem, and have either been directed to a page which suggests contacting support (I tried that and was told to post here), or have been told to contact Google (who apparently then redirect you back to Adobe), and the most recent posts on this haven't received any response at all. It would be great to get some actual clarification on what seems to be quite a basic issue.

Buenos dias. Tengo Adobe digital editions (ADE) 4.5.9 (actualizada desde 4.0) y tengo problemas con el programa. Intento descargarme e-books desde Biblioteca digital del Goethe-Institut en madrid (se trata de ACSM files) y siempre que añado un libro a la biblioteca de ADE, el programa no responde y no me presta el libro. Estoy con la misma cuenta en el Goethe Institut, pero el programa siempre se queda bloqueado y no responde. cuando vuelvo a abrir el programa ADE, el libro aparece, pero sin fecha de devolución y no se puede descargar al e-reader.NO tengo este problema con la plataforma online de una biblioteca española. Pero con la plataforma Onleihe del Goethe Institut siempre me da el mismo problema.Ya he autorizado 2 e-reader y 2 Pc, además de una Tablet. La solución de desautorizar y volver a autorizar no me sirve, pues utilizo la última autorización de la que dispongo. También he comprobado la ID de Digital Editions y es la misma en PC y e-reader.Por último, he intentado descarga

Hi, I am having trouble both downloading and returning eBooks borrowed via BorrowBox and Adobe Digital Editions. Originally, when I first started using this system, I could borrow books successfully, but when I tried to return them, I would get the error ‘E_BAD_LOAN_ID’. Now, I can’t borrow new books or return ones I’ve already borrowed.I’ve tried Uninstalling and Reinstalling ADE, and have also tried Deauthorizing and Reauthorizing with my AdobeID.I can successfully borrow the eBooks on the BorrowBox website, but when I try to open them in ADE to transfer them to my Kobo, I get an error saying 'E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR' and the book won’t open. I’m still getting the error  ‘E_BAD_LOAN_ID’ when trying to return books. Can you suggest what the problem might be?Thanks,Lien

Hi there,I'm really at a loss here and I really hope someone can help me/give me advice. I purchased an eBook with a local website having never used ADE/eBooks before. It downloaded to an acsm file and every time I try to use ADE to open it it comes up with this error:Unable to downloadError getting license. License server communication problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN I've tried to uninstall and reinstall, restart my computer, and de-authorize and re-authorize ADE. I've tried turning off my firewall. Nothing seems to work, because I get the exact same error every time.

Hi Community, I have installed the Adobe Digital Editions program but I keep receiving the Unable to Download and E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED error. I have updated the time zone to automatic but I am still receiving the same error. I also tried removing the .acsm file, erasing the authorization, etc... Has anyone else come across this and resolved this issue? Please advise. 

HalloIch habe mir einen tolino gekauft und in Betrieb genommen. Fälschlicherweise habe ich die Adobe DRM vom tolino aus gezogen. Nun kann ich die aus einer öffentlichen Bibliothek entliehenen Bücher nicht vom PC auf den tolino ziehen, weil dieser die Adobe Id offensichtlch nicht kennt. Meldung sinngemäß: die Adobe DRM ist nicht die gleiche wie die am PC.Meine Frage nun: wie kann ich die ganze Anmeldeprozedur an Adobe DRM rückgängig machen und mir dann erneut, diesmal vom PC aus mit verbundenem tolino, eine Adobe Id ziehen. Oder bekommt man das auch anders hin?Der Kern des Problems ist, daß ich den PC nun nachträglich nicht autorisieren kann, weil die Adobe Id vom tolino aus erstellt wurde.Danke für Lösungsideen bzw. -wege.Gruß Bernhard

He comprado un libro en Casa del Libro y he intentado descargarlo a Adobe Digital Editions y me da error "E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN". Desde soporte técnico de Casa del Libro me dicen que "Este mensaje de error se recibe cuando hubo un problema al importar el archivo de libro electrónico del servidor de archivos. Luego, cuando el ADE abre el archivo acsm e intenta solicitar el libro electrónico del servidor, no puedo hacerlo. Para solucionar esto se debe reimportar el archivo del libro electrónco y restablecer su licencia de descarga. Para ello debe ponerse en contacto con el equipo de soporte de Adobe".Me he puesto en contacto con Adobe y me dicen que no pueden hacer nada y que acuda al foro. Con lo cual me veo con el problema de que no puedo usar ese libro más que de forma online desde un ordenador.Sólo me ocurre este problema con un libro en concreto. Con los demás no tengo ningún problema. 

The book transferred fine from my public library to ADE on the computer and can be read there It appeared to transfer to my  Kobo Touch ok, but won't open there. Message on  the e reader is saying "This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management and is not currently authorized for use with you Adobe ID. Please sign in again with your authorized Adobe ID again and try again". Adobe on my computer signs me in automatically and I don't know what else to do in that respect. I tried signing out of Kobo and setting it up again, but that didn't work either. Other library books have transferred to the e reader fine, so don't know why this one is different.  Many thanks.

I can download e-books from my local library onto Digital Editions but when i try to copy the e-book to my Nook reader i get an error message -" No permission to copy book-".Anybody know what this is about as I didn't have any problem on a previous computer.

What do I do????? I'm trying to download a script that I purchased online! I downloaded Adobe Digital, I followed all the instructions, but once I click on the link to download the script this Blocked Screen pops up saying  Oops,Request Blockedescripts.playscripts.com:8080 is blocked at this timedial tcp 50.116.57.59:8080: connectex: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

I have Adobbe Digital Editions 2.0 on my dekstop computer. I am trying to authorize it (Ctrl-Shift-U), but for the past two weeks I have been getting this as an error message:"Activation server errorcode: E_AUTH_NOT_READYDigital Editions encountered an error on the activation server."I have tried setting up new Adobe IDs and have even tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions.
