Digital Editions

I'm not able to launch that anymore. I'm operating on Win10.  Even if I opt for 'run as administrator' option it wont work. Appreciate any advise.

I've used Adobe Digital Editions for quite some time with no problems on my Nook. This is the first time I've encountered this problem. When I purchased a book on the Kobo website and attempted to download it this popped-up: Error getting license - License server communication problem. Hope someone can help with this one. Thanks!

I've just set ADE4.5 up on a new computer and had to create a new username to authorize it. Succeeded, but I can't get it to work. The cover of the library book I downloaded shows, but nothing happens when I click on it. PC running Win11Pro. I have 3.0 so tried to open the book with it but it said the book was already in the library. I actually began having problems with ADE on my old computer, running Win10. Is there a problem running this in newer versions of Windows? I don't have any other device to try.

Does Adobe let the text be read Aloud? Please shed some light on this as I want it to read a textbook that is in electronic print on my pc.

I would like to reset my password as I have forgotton.  But the system asks for my original password.  I dont see anyway of changing it

I tend to use library ebooks from Libby/Overdrive which I download through my laptop to Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 reader – I’ve done it for years and it worked fine.Recently I got new laptop. I downloaded ADE (4.5.11, Windows 10), I signed in with Adobe ID, I can open books in ADE without issues.However, when I tried transferring to Pocketbook, and opening the book on there, I got error message.“Unable to open the book. This book is possibly damaged or encoded with a copy protection. First, activate an Adobe ID on your device (Settings->Content…-Adobe DRM).”But I am signed in with my adobe ID and I checked that both ADE on the laptop and my Pocketbook are authorized to the same account.The only other thing is that I changed my adobe ID password in the meantime. I’m not sure if that would cause issues for the Pocketbook – it still shows my adobe ID in settings and the only option is to deactivate. There is no option to sign in/out. I am facing issues with scrolling through the books that I have bought online (DRM pdf).As recommened in several other post, I tried using other lower version of ADE, viz 3.0, 2.0 including the latest 4.5. All version has the same issue. It looks like compatibility issue with Macbook. I have faced similar issue with Acrobat reader with slow scrolling and as solution, I always used default "Preview" application. In this case since its a DRM protected, I cannot do that. I also tried to contacting the customer care via chat service, but couldn't get any new information than found on this community. At the end was recommended back to ask in this community. Apparently, no one is really of any help at this point. System environment, I am using:- MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)- macOS Mojave (v10.14.6)- ADE Version 4.5 Please somebody help or guide me to escalate this issue.

Hello,The problem is about when reading e-books, through your application "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5"The scrolling speed is very low, and there do not seem to be a setting for changing this.How do I change the scrolling speed?

In my Epub - Adobe DRM encrypted book read with Digital Editions 4.5.12.112 wrong words highlight often but not always after my highlighting during reading. Sometimes highlighting is not possible at all when nothing happnens after clicking on "highlight" after right clicking. Other times highlighting works fine.  Please see an example in the attachement. Hi, In my Epub - Adobe DRM book the highligting function doesn't work properly from time to time. Sometimes the marked word och or group of words highlights but many times a word/group of words highlight (-s) instead. It's an adjacent part of the text that is highlighted.  My (online) bookshop denies any wrong with the book and says Digital Editions malfunctions.  The attachement shows the marked word "patient" and how a row of letters is highligted in yellow after rightclicking and clicking on "highlight" a few lines above.  Is my Digital Editions 4.5.12.112 malfunctioning?  Bjoern

Bonjour, j'utilise depuis de nombreuses années ADOBE DIGITAL avec mes liseuses successives : bookeen et maintenant kobo, j'ai créé un compte adobe, je ne me souviens plus du mot de passe et à priori, je n'ai plus accès à  l'adresse mail que j'aurai utilisée pour me connecter. est ce que si je créé un nouveau compte, je risque de perdre tous mes livres ??un vrai casse tête !!d'avance pour l'aide que vous pourrez m'apporter.Nathalie

I installed Adobe DE, and clicked through some prompts and imported a bundle of 20 books that I had bought on Kobo.I exited Adobe DE and then went back in later, and nothing is there. I do not know how I went through the prompts that first time. I've since managed to get back into DE with my Adobe account ID, but I do not have any of my books.I've tried both logging in without an id and using my long-standing Adobe account. I've tried removing the PC authorization and going back in again. I've also tried using a different PC. I can't find my content anywhere. I can't reimport them (due to "license already fulfilled" message).I'd love to re-do the whole thing from scratch. Anyway I can "un-fulfill" the license on my acsm files? Or can someone tell me how to figure out those licenses are attached to?

Bonjour Je souhaite télécharger Adobe digital éditions sur mon Ulefone Armor Pad lite. Maïs ça me dit que cet appareil n'est pas compatible. Comment résoudre ce problème ? I downloaded an ASCM file (from Ex Libris) and get always this error message "Licence already fulfilled by another user". I am not sure if at the point of downloading the file my Adobe digital editions program was authorized or not - now it is and it does not work with my current adobe id. Should I unauthorise again, and try this way again or how can I find out if or if so which adobe id was registered at the moment of file download? Converterts for ascm to pdf does not work either. Thanks for any help - I am lost in this jungle of adobe.

If I want to authorize my Digital Editions program on my Windows 7 32bit. If I enter my credentials I geht theerror message you see in the subject.Tried it over several days.

Ich gebe meine Adobe ID und Passwort ein, und bekomme die Meldung:Incorrect Adobe ID oder Password for the selected Ebook Vendor (Adobe ID).   Meine ID und mein Passwort habe ich aber überprüft, sie sind richtig. Würde mich über einen Hinweis freuen, vielen Dank

I using Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my PC WIN10 . Every time I try to highlight a text, make a note or even scroll the page it takes 15-30 seconds and I get a wait signal.  Any idea why it is being so slow? All of my other applications on my computer work fine and have no issues. I have been read about and seems that a lot of users have this issue. What's solution of this problem. @ADOBE that you care about this problem or not?

buongiorno, tutto a un tratto il mio ade su pc windows ha smesso di aprire file acsm (errore check activation) e leggere gli book presenti in libreria ( codice errore E_ACT_NOT_READY).ho scaricato l'app per iphone e lì riesco ad aprire i file acsm e gli ebook, ma non so dove trovare i file epub (sul pc li trovo nella cartella my digital editions, quindi come soluzione alternativa non va bene...leggendo su internet ho capito che per far rifunzionare ade su pc dovrei deautorizzarlo e riautorizzarlo ma quando provo a farlo il programma dice che è impossibile e di riprovare più tardi :S consigli? grazie, mary

BonjourJ'ai un Chromebook, et voici le message qu'ADE m'indique E_ACT_CERTIFICATE_INVALID. J'arrive à me connecter à mon compte Adobe avec le même mot de passe que je saisis, et cela a fonctionné sur mon téléphone, avec ADE (mais là, le fichier acsm que je tente d'ouvrir ne fonctionne pas, souci de licence, j'ai contacté le fournisseur des milliards de fois.... et je tente d'obtenir l'epub directement, parce qu'impossible de l'ouvrir, et encore moins sur ma liseuse !) Que faire ? Merci
