When I downloaded Digital Edition, it started up in Chinese. It does that every time I try to download it, and I can't find anything in settings etc. Is there any solutions?

HELP! I have bought an Ebook from www.world-of-digitals.com. I have downloaded it to my desktop as a ".acsm" file. There support says I should be able to open it in Digital Editions but I am getting an error message. I have created an adobe account and have authorized the software before downloading. Am I missing something here?

I am getting the error message when I attempt to erase authorization "unable to erase authorization- please try after some time" and this has been happening for a few days.  I called Adobe and the gentleman that I spoke with said that he is unable to fix this issue and that the Adobe employees working on this forum can fix the issue so I am emailing to get this resolved please and thank you.

Hello, I have bought one book. However, my PC doesn't open the software "Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.8" after some uses. Now, I'm trying to authorize this book on another computer, but as I choose "authorize my computer without ID" option, I can't access to this book on my other PC. I need this book urgently so, is this possible for you to send me another token for this book or by pdf? Otherwise, can you tell me how to get this book on another computer. I have changed my email and it is current in Adobe.  However, when I uninstall and reinstall Adobe Digital Edition, it continues to authorize my computer to the old email.  I have attempted to erase authorization of the old email, but it tells me "Unable to erase authorization.  Please try after some time"  What does that mean?  It does me no good!!  What can I do so I can use Adobe Digital Edition? 

Hisince ages there is this problem with ADE and crashes (Windows AND MAC) -I do not look for any solution anymore at adobe directly- i gave it up!!!!!!! it is so incredible .... cause also there is nearly NO alternative!!!!!!!!i can not afford every book!this is why I want to read books from the library.BUT with this horrible possibility from adobe (for mac nearly tho ONLY possibility)it is so unbelievable!I want to know please from adobe:do you still work on/at this software with concentration and solution????will there be hope????????do you take our critics in serious ?do you "work" by yourself with the program?why is it so so complicated for you to solves the software or make a complete NEW one??thanx for an concret anwser adobemia

Hello!I've recently bought my son a PocketBook ereader and, at the moment of authorizing it with our family Adobe ID, I had forgotten it. So I changed my password on the adobe website and troubles began : I can read on this ereader books bought AFTER the password change, but not BEFORE (even if I download them again) : I get the message "E_ADEPT_USER_UNKNOWN.We've got 3 other ereaders and they accept book bought before or after the password change.Any idea how to make the mew ereader accept old books? I've bought tons of children novels for my daughter, and I'd prefer not having to buy them again for my son...Thanks for the help!Ack

I have several eBooks. I used to be able to read them on my PC. Now I cannot. Double-clicking them simply directs me to the Adobe Digital Editions web page. I have signed into my account but can find NOTHING that tells me how to read my (paid for) eBooks. I do not know why I can no longer read them. Is this a Windows 10 thing or a "new, upgraded, updated (but useless)" Adobe thing? I am tired of going around and around in circles trying to find simple up-front instructions on what I should do to restore my ability to read my books. I have downloaded and installed the latest Acrobat Reader. I do NOT want to read my books on mobile devices. I do not own a Kindle or similar. Help please. If I cannot resolve this I will not purchase any more eBooks and will not patronise Adobe again. It's just too hard!

I have bought a new Kobo and cannot authorize it because an older email and account exist. I cannot deauthorize the old one despite numerous attempts over several days. I contacted the help line, they changed my old id email address to the new one and new password etc. but I still cannot deauthorize the old account. I was assured that my new ID works and it does to access my new account but I still cannot authorize my new Kobo. They suggested I post my question on this forum. I hope someone has the answers.

Because ADE is so slow (it stops responding while trying to transfer a book to my Kobo), I tried a way suggested in this form. I open the file from ADE in explorer, then copy paste the file to my Kobo. It works, and when I turn on my Kobo it tells me I have new books downloaded. However, when I try to open the book on my Kobo it says "This document is protected by the Adobe Digital Rights Management and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign- in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again".  I reconnected my Kobo to my computer and ADE says it is authorized.Any suggestions? Thank you!!! I'd love to be able to read library books on Kobo again.Isobel

I bought a book and am trying to get it on my ereader. I have an old Sony reader PRS-T2.The book is secured but for some reason I cannot get it on my ereader. Adobe Digital Editions cannot find my e reader? My pc does find it, but I cannot just copy the file to my reader because it is an .acsm file (secured). Also, I can also not autorize my pc because it says my AdobeID isn't correct, even though I just created it half an hour ago and I am sure it is correct. Also, in my browser on the adobe website I can login with these credentials.What to do?

Hello,for two month now I use ADE. Everything worked fine until three days ago. When I started my laptop (Dell - Windows 10) and tried to open ADE, it did not open / run the program. The only thing i saw twice was the blue windows "processing-circle" near to the cursor. I deinstalled and reinstalled ADE but so far nothing changed.I would be greatful for some help here as I need to continue reading these books for an exam.Best regards!
