Digital Editions

How can I  transfer e books from my Digital Editions bookshelf (downloaded from the public library) to my Sony PRST1 eReader (using Windows 8.1 PC).The instruction page on the Adobe website shows a screenshot of what the bookshelf page should look like.   What I see on my bookshelf pages is similar except my device isn't there.   It is a supported type of device.  I followed the instructions carefully, connecting the device before opening Digital Editions, and I authorized the device when asked.   The device works fine with other types of book files (Overdrive, EPUB, PDF).   And Digital Editions is obviously working fine too, in downloading books to my PC from the public library.   I just can't see any way of getting them onto the Sony Reader software on my PC (which is also working fine) or directly onto the reader.  (I tried chatting with Adobe support, but the agent there just says he has no training in this area and c

Hi everybody!I need your help to solve a problem of access to the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 software in order to read downloaded e-books. I tried several times but the software always asks for my proxy server credentials. Though I wrote them I didn't succeed in opening the e-books. My institution don't allow me to access out of the proxy server.My institutional informatic support thinks that the problem could be linked to a difficulty to access to your servers. Is it possible? Can I obtain a list of Adobe Digital Edition servers? In this case my informatic support could add an exception for these servers in our server proxy.Thank for your attention.ByeAnna

My computer does not open .acsm files in Adobe Digital Editions. My device is Nook Simple Touch and Operating System is Wins 10. When I download ebooks from Download Destination they open in Overdrive, not ADE.

I bought an eText that required me to download Adobe Digital Editions to access it. After downloading it, I've noticed content missing on various graphs and diagrams. Why is this an issue? Is there something I can do to correct this? Can I return this product and just get the physical textbook? Awful product.

Hello,I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 and that I need to read a e-textbook but I am unable to read all the text through the program. I have tried redownloading the textbook and restarting my computer but the problem persists.

I tried to open my tolino ebook-Reader and recieved this message. I've been trying to contact the suport to that they can reset my account, but y can't get through. Y also read in the Forum of this Problem. Y tried the link they gave to find the suport, but they always link me with the Forum.

Hello everyone,ADE 4.5 was working fine until I've recently installed W10 patch (for the CPU issues). I have tried uninstall ADE and reinstall it but it didn't work. Also tried the renaming of the My Digital Edition file but still not working. I can see that ADE is working in the background but it is not launching at all. Also tried the compatiblity thing but it is not working.I was wondering whether ADE is not compatible with the current state of W10.Can anyone help?Thanks,Alice

I've reached the maximum of authorized devices but most of them are no longer available (pc's or eareders on the trash).I know I can deauthorized a device when conected but...how can I do that without conect that device? Can I get a list of authorized devices and do it from there?If that's not possible, I would deauthorized all actual devices -I mean to reset all authorizations (so later I can authorized again the pc and ereader I follow nowadays).Thanks in advance for your help.

From World of Digitals I bought the ebook Fire and Fury by Michael Wolff. I have the .acsm file but Adobe Digital Editions (latest download) presents me with Error! Check Activation. I do not know what to do.

I purchased a copy of the 2017 BOMA standards ebook, but when I download it, the Digital Editions downloading content window never closes.  The green progress bar goes from 0 to 100%, but the Windows10 "spinning wheel" icon stays on the screen until I force Digital Editions to close by clicking on the X in the title bar.The file size is correct according to BOMA and the icon shows up in All Bookshelves window but is not present in the Purchased Bookshelf.  I should note that a previous version of the BOMA standard shows up in the Purchased Bookshelf and that ebook opens with no problems.  BOMA has sent me a second link to download the ebook but the results are still the same, so they are suggesting it is a problem with Digital Editions.Any insights on what I might try in order to get the book to install and open properly would be greatly appreciated.

Hallo,ich habe z.Zt. ca 400 Bücher in meinem Regal "Alle Medien" die ich nicht öffnen kann, weil die Ausleihezeit abgelaufen ist. Wie kann ich diese Bücher entfernen. Löschen aus den lokalen Verzeichnissen reicht nicht. Offensichtlich sind die in eine Cloud geladen worden.Bin ich eigntlich mal gefragt worden ob ich das möchte ? HiI just tried to download and install Digital Editions on my MacBook Pro, but get this message that ADE 4.5 "wants to access key "Digital Editions" in your keytchain. To allow this, enter the "login" keychain password."When I enter my Adobe ID password it shakes no. I even tried my admin password, no go.What password do they want?What can I do?Roy

Hello,not seeing this program listed, but the chat support suggested this-3 weeks ago, this program worked, nothing changed on my computer...tried borrowing a digital library book, but it won't upload it correctly..worked with librarian, downloaded different versions, etc. tried re-registering, etc.nothing works...she says others also have this issue ...adobe is not getting back to her with solutions....so ANY IDEAS???? why won't it upload books anymore?????HELP!!

HelloI tried to print 20 pages of an ebook from ADE and instead of printing the pages I requested it printed 20 previous 20 pages:I.e. asking for pages: 100-119 prints pages:  81-100 Please advise

I have an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC account and I am trying to download an eBook on Adobe Digital editions (ADE). However, every time I click on "download" it forces the document to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and provides me with a nasty error saying that URLLINK.acsm is not a supported file type. The point is that this document is not supposed to be opened under Acrobat Pro DC, but ADE. I suspect that Acrobat Pro DC is set-up as the priority application> I need to figure out how to disable that so that I can access ADE (which is already downloaded). I am close, but still too far... please help!!  🙂

I purchased a book yesterday and tried to open it, I downloaded adobe digital editions, activated my ID, authorized the computer and still get the same message:

Hi Books I borrow from the public library I got as acsm file. I can open and read them in Digital Editions and copy them to my tolino e-book reader which is authorized with the same Adobe ID. When I try to open them on the device I can see the title page but get the error message "An error occurred while loading your file. The file is presumably damaged and cannot be opened. Please contact customer service." It is impossible to read the books on my device. The error occurs no matter whether I copy the data using Digital Edition's, copy the .epub file using Windows Explorer or copy the .acsm file to the divece and let it download the data by itself. I tried to delete and renew the authorization on device and computer a number of times and did even a full reset. Longshine's (the tolino's manufacturer) customer service suggested to contact Adobe's support and there I got a link to this forum. I would be lucky if the problem could be solved. Hi all,I'm going through the process of getting CMSP, a Marketing and sales certification from SMEI. As part of the class I'm required to download ADE, which I did without issue. When I attempt to open the ACSM book (the core learning materials) I get an error of E_Adept_No_Token. I'm hoping someone here can help me. I've tried logging out and back in as the SMEI support rep said but it didn't work and they linked me here. I'm using an iMac with Mac OS 10.13.2 currently. Unsure what other data might be helpful, but I appreciate in advance any assistance from the community! If I take a while to reply, I apologize. I'll mostly be trouble shooting when I get home from work at around 4:40p PST.

I have a Kobo Glo & a Dell PC the runs on Windows 10 I fixed this infuriating by problem following those steps: PC:Uninstall Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)Reinstall ADE (make sure it's the 3.0 version)Erase PC authorization while in ADE: Press Ctrl + Shift + DReauhtorize it.Re-download the borrowed ebooksKobo:Deautorize it in its "Settings" menuConnect to the PCOpen ADE 3.0 on PCOpen the re-dowloaded books in ADEAuthorize the KoboCopy the eBooks to the Kobo using ADE softwareClose the ADE programDO NOT eject the Kobo from PC, simply unplug itThis worked for me

We would like to distribute Adobe Digital Editions to all our machines.  However, we do not want the "Authorize Your Computer" screen to come up and would like the "I want to authorize my computer without an ID" to be pre-set on installation.  Is this possible?
