Digital Editions

I've been using Adobe Digital Editions as an e-reader on my iPad, by dragging books the app via iTunes.I just bought a book from Kobo, and since I don't care for the Kobo e-reader for my iPad (It doesn't allow me to look up stuff on the Internet), I download the book as:URLLink.acm.When I click on that, I see that I have options to open it with one of the following:Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 appReader Library.appReader.appWith the Adobe app, I get:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI get other errors with the other apps.I see that my Digital Editions app on my Mac has the option to erase authorization, but when I tried it, I got:"Unable to Erase Authorization.   Please try after some time".I tried again after some time.   I'm not sure I got the right password.   I think I have one for this web page and another for my reading.

Hi there,I've been getting an error when using Overdrive with my local library to access ePub books, using Adobe Digital Editions to read them on my Kobo eReader. Up until recently, I have been able to view any of the eBooks on my eReader (transferred through ADE), but now receive the error CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED, with prompts that my eReader is not authorised to access the book. I have deauthorised and reauthorised the eReader multiple times to no avail. I have attempted to deauthorise ADE on my computer, but because I have signed up to ADE with my Overdrive account (signed into with just a library card), I am now prompted for a password when deauthorising (which does not exist).Has anyone come across a fix for this issue? In addition, if I do manage to deauthorise ADE on my computer, will it be a problem when reauthorising ADE with Overdrive that I do not have a Username and password, and only have a library card?Thanks in advance.

Please use your Adobe ID to authorize your ereader with the kobo desktop application or adobe digital editions. I am getting this message and the only way to fix it is to reset my ereader, there has to be a better way, HELP!

I can download a library book to my computer(windows 10) in overdrive but it does not download to adobe digital editions(4.5) and so I cannot get the book to my ereader (kobo aura) PLEASE HELP

I recently purchased a 2nd hand Sony e-Reader to replace one that got water damaged, but now I can't load any new eBooks because ADE won't even open on my mac mini. The very first time I opened ADE on the Mac Mini, it did open. I group selected all the new ACSM files to add to my library, which is when it crashed the first time. Now it won't open at all. I have ADE installed on a macbook air as well, but now it's telling me that the new books I've purchased have already been authorized on another device.Great, so I've just spent $100 on new books that I can't open on either of my computers because of this shitty software!I've tried deleting ADE from my Mac Mini, re-installing, and re-installing an older version - which also doesn't seem to work, it keeps showing up as ADE 4.5 in my applications folder. Nothing works! Seriously Adobe? If this is the only way we have of accessing these books, you need to do better with this software. It's been clunky from day one, and now it's utterly us

I have downloaded book to nook but cannot find it. Tried to download same book and said it is already on nook. I have looked into library and not there.

I've got one book in my library right now and every other page (all odd pages) are blank. This is only the case for my 4th device authorization on a windows computer. everything seems to be ok on my iphone, ipad and MacBook. Is this just a technical issue for the windows edition?

I see how to change the size of text in e-books open with DEBut how can one change the size of diagrams and photos/I have a touch and that approach does not work.Thanks,John

I was recently forced to use Adobe Digital to open a electronic book from my library.I was able to figure out how to place bookmarks, but I can't figure out how to access the bookmarks that I have set.I have also not figured out how to read the instructions that are included with Abode Digital. All I can see is page one, in a size that is too small to comfortably read. But, clicking the arrow in the lower right hand corner or typing in a new page number will not advance the instructions to the next page.Thanks,John PS ~ I am also not sure that I can find this forum again. I purchased an e-book and downloaded it to one computer but now want to view it from a different computer. When I try to access the book, Digital Editions asks me for a vendor ID to open the e-book. What is the vendor ID #?

I'm using Adobe Pse 14 and I need to know if there Is there a way to use the eraser tool without it leaving  a "white line" on the edge I am erasing? when erasing I've noticed an edge remains (or is created) along the image I'm trying to erase. It is quite obvious and I can't get rid of it, especially when I'm stacking layers or if there is a dark layer beneath it. someone has to of seen this before and I want to know how to keep this from happening. It also happens with all erasers(especially the magic eraser) and all file formats jpeg's,  bmp's, png;s. Has anyone seen this and know how to eliminate it?  Thanks in advance.    C

Seule une partie de ma bibliothèque Kobo est intégrée dans Adobe ( dernière version mais c'était pareil avec la version 3). Auparavant elle l'était intégralement. Après un reset de l'ordi et réinstallation à partir d'un disque dur de sauvegarde, cela ne fonctionne plus...Et je ne peux donc pas on plus sauvgarder ma bibliothèque.merci de votre aide.BA

Hallo.Ich lese im Forum, dass man den Support kontaktieren muss um aktivierte Geräte entfernen zu lassen. Leider werde ich beim Versuch den Support zu kontaktieren immer in dieses Forum verwiesen. Ist es denn irgendwie möglich seine aktivierten Geräte anzeigen zu lassen oder einige oder auch alle zu entfernen. Hat in der Vergangenheit auch geklappt.  Bekomme nunmehr immer die Meldung: prüfen ob Internetverbindung durch eine Firewall blockiert ist (Adobe Fehlerursache E_Stream_Error).Habe meinen Router (Fritz Box) geprüft, es ist alles offen und nicht blockiert.Komme seit Wochen nicht an die Bücher ran.Vielen

I made a mistake when completing the DRM registration and now I can only download library books to read on my computer when I need to be able to read them on my Kobo Touch.Tried uninstalling and re-installing programme but that doesn't seem to work. Tried changing my password, that failed but I did get a message that said "You can only authorise this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't previously been used to authorise any other computer or device.  Please try again"  - whatever that means!  Any advice please?  I am not a techie so any help needs to be easy to follow, thanks!

Hi, My mac is linked to an old ADE ID I had but when I click on erase authorisation is asks for the password. I enter this and it comes up with a message saying that this is incorrect. I know it is correct. I have spoken with support and they say that there is no such ID on their system so they cannot reset the password (or help me). But now my computer is automatically linked to an old ID and I cannot authorise to a new ID (which my Kobo is linked to). Any suggestions on how I can get my Kobo and Mac authorised to each other on the same ID would be appreciated! Thanks

I had created a Epub3 file. And trying to read using ade4.5.6 but not opens and shows error that UNABLE TO OPEN. still i have adobe id and authorized my computer. Installed the app as run as admin... but problem remainsBut epub2 files are opening well in above said ade version.Then i tried with ade3.0 It works and able to read epub3.Kindly suggest. how to open my epub3 files in ade 4.5.6 with windows7 os

I have just bought a new computer and installed ADE. However ADE does not recognise my Kobo and the drop-down authorisation menu is greyed out. In addition, when I download books into ADE I can't do anything with them and, when I close the app and restart it, the books are gone. I have also been getting a message saying a problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. I have no problems downloading books into ADE and transferring to my Kobo from my old computer. Help!

I have had digital editions installed on my laptop for years, and have been able to easily create "sub libraries" for want of a better description, in order to be able to find particular genres easily and not have many hundreds of books to search through.I have recently purchased a new tablet (Samsung) and have installed digital editions on it, but the library functionality appears to be limited and I can't figure out how to create sub folders in my library.  Does anyone have any hints?  Or does this functionality not exist when installed on tablets?

Hi one book I cant see text little but not much only one rest is okay I have 4.5.7 I see little text but not all...Okey I took the 3 and it works on that so I can read the book there...

I am able to change my email address at Adobe.com, but cannot change it at Digital Editions.  I understand that it must first be deauthorized, but when I try to do it I get a message: unable to deauthorize now.  Try a little later.
