Digital Editions

Hola, no puedo descargar un libro Digital  comprado en mi iphone 6 para poder leerlo, señala que Digital Editions no esta conectado al servidor. Lo he eliminado y vulto a descargar en mi iphone, pero siempre tengo el mismo error.

I need help.  A year ago I purchased several eBooks using Adobe Reader onto my laptop, and they uploaded perfectly.  I had since upgrade the Windows version (to Windows 8.1) and when I try to open any of these titles in my Adobe Reader library, I get and error message that my computer is not licensed for the eBook.  If I go back to the original email receipt to redownload the eBook, I get a similar message.  I only downloaded these titles once, so how can I access them again.  I have paid over $100 for these titles, and I don't want to repurchase them.  I would appreciate some guidance.Thank you.-John

I've checked-out a book from my public library and added it to my Adobe Digital Editions bookshelf.  When I try to drag that file from the bookshelf to the device, I get the copy not allowed message....  How am I supposed to add a borrowed book to my device?Thanks,Justin

Hello mates,I've purchased an ebook and when I tried to download it to ADE I got a message saying "Error getting License. License server communication problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN"What does this mean? I feel like I've tried everything to make it work but it doesn't. And sense I have as much knowledge of these kinds of programs as my grandma, I kind of need some help!Thanks,Johanna

We just downloaded Digital Edition 4.5 on our Mac. We used to have a Windows based computer where my reader's name would appear in the open Digital Edition.Now, my Kobo Reader does not appear in Digital Edition.  This means that I cannot drag the book in my reader.  Has anyone encountered this?

I recently installed Adobe Digital Editions to read an Elsevier textbook in ePub form. The book downloaded and opened fine however when I search for any term the search function says "no matches found."

I created Adobe ID and password in ADE(Adobe Digital Edition) on my computer to down load a book form KOBO book store  and to transfer to PRS 300 digital reader. I forgot my password how can I create a new one. It is not allowing me to do that.

Hi, I not sue if I am doing something wrong butzooming in the app distorts the typing. it is as if I am zooming a low resolution photo. the documents i use are PDF or EPUB so the texts are actual text and not a photo which should not lead to problems in zooming.Are there touch-friendly features in this app? i am using it on a microsoft surface. is there a way to turn off the feature where clicking on the screen turns the page? this makes it hard to read on a tabs like Surface.i it possible to add highlights and comment? the option is there but dimmed and inactive.thanks in advance.

Hello digital space of answers. I have an issue where I download large academic books that I read on my Mac then maybe read on my iphone or ipad on my commute. My issue is that my iphone or ipad cannot pickup on previous location I have read to or highlighted in this book. I have signed into the same account so the book appears within all my devises, yet they are all new books (same download of the same book in all devices) and don't reflect my bookmarks or where I am up too, edits/comments, highlights or percentage of read. I assume if the book can sync onto multiple devises it could sync changes and keep track of my changes as I move between devises as long as there is an internet connection. Has anyone had this issue or found a work around?? Recommend another app other the Adobe Digital? I need something can work with my busy liftstyle and I can fit reading between tasks. Thanks, Sean

I just installed the latest release of Adobe Digital Editions (4.5.5.173692) on a Windows 10 computer, in order to read some ebooks I just purchased; some of them are protected with DRM, while instead one is DRM-free. Whenever I try to open this specific ebook, the application just hangs, keeping a CPU core pegged at 100% until I kill it.The various DRM-protected files bought from the same site instead works fine.I also tried several other EPUB files (with or without DRM) from other sources, and they work fine.So, this would seem to be a file-specific issue... however, the file appears to be ok, because it works fine in any other EPUB-capable application (such as the web browser Microsoft Edge, or my iPhone). And even if the file was faulty, that should have caused an error message, not an application hang.For reference, the file is an ebook bought on ebooks.com, alongside with several other ones; I can give specific links if required.

I have downloaded Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 to my computer which already has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. When I try to download an eBook from my Library and try to open it, Acrobat Reader starts with an error message about file format etc. I am not given any option to "Open With" so that I can  open with Digital Editions.Do Acrobat and Digital Editions conflict. Why don't I get an option to Open With Digital Editions.

Last week i was able to download one book from kobo using reader for pc which I have consistently used. Two books would not download.  I get the message content download failed.  i have tried to resolve this with kobo who told me to download adobe digital editions which i have now done.  When I try to authorize I get the message cod e_auth_not_ready.  Kobe said this is an issue with windows 10 and adobe and to contact adobe for a fix.  Is there one available?

When I download the .acsm file, ADE freezes. Why? I have uninstalled/downloaded every version of ADE from 3.0 and up. The app opens without any problem. I have authorized/unauthorized, rebooted, etc. until I am blue in the face. If I connect my Kobo to ADE before downloading the .acsm file, it freezes ADE. Can anyone give me an explanation.

Previous discussions were for older versions of ADE.I am running ADE 4.5.1.139278 and Windows 10 (fully updated). I am on a relatively new computer and ADE worked the last time I used it on 22 July.Today when I download a book with ACSM I get the above message. Previous advice suggested de-authorising and re-authorising the computer. When I try this I get a message that effectively says I cannot do this and please try later.What can I do?

When I try to load an acsm file I get the above error message. I am using osx High Sierra.This is very frustrating. I have many such files which I need to read.

After following a footnote hyperlink, I cannot return to the original page. There is a back button at top right corner but it remains disabled. This is very inconvenient. Please help.P.S. It has been this way since I have started using ADE (for some years now). Just to give you an idea how it should be, in html books when you are done with reading the footnote you click its number and this returns you back to the page from which you moved to the footnote.

Have purchased an epub and downloaded onto pc.  Works fine.  Using same adobe id I have downloaded .asms and epub, however the document will not open.  I can separately go to the adobe site and download a free sample with any issue.

I cannot get the above error to solve itself. I tried talking to adobe chat and they were useless. I know that the date and time needs to be correct, which it is but the error still persists. I downloaded an e-book from the local library, the time zones shouldn't be an issue.It says that "Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server." What does this mean?

Since Friday, November 10, when ADE for iPad was updated to Version 4.5.7, the Open Library PDF loans on my iPad are blurred and unreadable. I have left several messages at Open Library and received no answer. Any ideas here?

When attempting to open my Ebook on Adobe Digital Editions, the above error message keeps popping up.  Can someone help me with this?

Does anyone else have the this issue, after authorizing my PC "windows 10" I double click the  "document.acsm" and the app sits there with downloading contents for now over an hour.If i stop the download, go to a windows 7 and authorize that PC and click on the document it opens up right away, anyone knows the fix for this, besides the obvious "use windows 7"
